ty for the help of getting it out there ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) there was a pool but the admin of pool didnt want to upkeep it anymore so there is no pool atm all the TBD are "to be determined" once we fulfill these as a community i can add them to the forum ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) would making a discord for the coin be helpful ? ... Atm the coin can only be solo mined until we can get a pool going for it somewhere! the coin has around 150 m coins in circulation with a 1 coin per block mining reward. That adds about 2700 coins a day to the total so a very great crytpo in my opinion I do think it's a particularly 'fun' coin to mine at the moment as you will actually have a chance at finding some blocks. Great for exploring and learning.

all the stuff needed is offered threw https://asccoin.wixsite.com/ascworldwide the pool that was hosting it is not now due to it being allot of work for nothing atm but yes with the repo we could compile the newest wallet into the coin ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) just need to find people to do it Not to offend, but that website could be improved a bit. Requiring registration to download?! we tend to forget what the coin had before i made the page ! http://asiccoin.biz/ so i feel what is has now is a major improvement lol ...Not offended but if you would like to..... feel free to improve and if you would like to pay for url its a community project ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) we have got nothing for doing this so what ive done is what i can afford to do as a community ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) also we know how many bots are out there not asking for info to be ur name lol just to keep the community growing people who are interested in downloading and being part of the community can sign up.. and it also allows the people who need help to message threw the website.. also allows me to verify files arnt messed with as well as secure for those who want to use it ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) so many different reasons signing up is a good thing ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) because that is what this coin needs ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) im the first person in about 3 years or more to do anything for this coin so instead of nitpicking whats here why not offer tips on how to help improve after all it is a community project i made a website to make the stuff needed for the coin to survive available ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) which is more than most have done in the last 4 years ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) so as a community lets all work together to improve what needs to be done as far as website and wallet https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3443896 this is the forum for this coins community project side and what we are all doing to help improve the coin I hear you... and appreciate what you are doing. That amount of winks is unsettling though ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

Since y'all are rebooting the coin, I'd highly recommend a new announce thread to avoid confusion.
It's the same coin/blockchain, just making it more accessible. perhaps 'reboot' was the wrong term?

Is there an up to date node list? addnode=77.95.36.185:13434 addnode=79.143.39.154:13434 addnode=188.242.44.180:13434 Thanks! Has anyone restored the git repo and offered the binaries? I took the liberty of finding the original repository. The original developer deleted their account and the repository, but fortunately someone had forked it beforehand. So, here is the repository which has commit history all the way back to the original asiccoin/asiccoin repository. From here we should be able to merge in bitcoin updates since that point. https://github.com/asiccoin-reboot/asiccoin

Are there any exchanges available for this coin where I could purchase?
or buy directly? ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Highly unlikely. This coin went devless years ago. Users with coins might be willing to trade with you. I will see if I still have any, but it's not a high priority for me. It used to be very easy to mine, but I haven't touched it in years. I'm not even sure I still have my old wallet ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) A bit sad really... it's a 'better' bitcoin cash if you think about it.

im interested to start building a strong community. i've created an irc channel and a skype group to talk about AsicCoin:
SKYPE GROUP:
skype:?chat&blob=QajVOzNGXkuAuq0lmq2ftWfrDAwwqItN36qRhhky_6MXkYHtpFLaFvnmdL2o04N3xZlE9w (put in browser address)
IRC CHANNEL:
you can join by web clicking here: http://irc.lc/cryto/asiccoin/asicuser@@@or if you have an irc client like mirc: server: irc.cryto.net channel: #AsicCoin all asic's lover are welcome! Awesome. We do need a community site and a fresh community build so we can start folding in updates to the client. It should be easy to import bitcoin's source since they are so similar.

Not bad,I like this AsicCoin,it is valueable.
If development is picked up it will be.

For losing momentum the difficulty sure keeps going up and up and up....
For reasons outside of crypto I have stepped away a bit. I do hold a fair amount and would like to see a take over. To add to that, since time is limited at the moment I am just buying it while it is cheap until my time opens up again.

I have just under 500k asc from mining n investing I also vote for takeover
We just need a website and to accept a fork on the source. I can create both, but I want it to be the communities site and source, rather than 'mine'. Is there interest in setting a small community site with a few of us as admins/moderators? Preference on hosting and tool chain for the site?

Can someone explain how this works ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) ? I believe we just need to be accepted by the community as the source of the source code and binaries. The code is open source and can be forked on github (i.e., we can continue developing it). Idd, but we are the community.. the people with a decent amount of ASC. We can give bounty's for site who are willin to accept ASC. But only when there is a new developr, who is in for that job? I am a developer with web experience and c++/linux experience. I have > 1.5M coins, so I'm definitely invested/interested ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

I vote for a friendly takeover.

Well all the peeps with large hoards should form a community and drive it. Start with getting more exposure on other exchanges (presently just at coinex). All those with 100K ASC, then now is your time to shine.
Nice amount, check Wanna do a takeover, check Who's down for this? I've forked the source so that I can build the qt client with a better set of nodes built in.

Thats where i put the file
If someone can help me get this to work I will give a few asics at first I put the file in the wrong roaming folder. I found one for windows and after some digging I found the proper folder. create a new doc, open it, copy nodes in the files. file > save as, asiccoin.config (NOT .conf), save as all files, restart client. This should work for you, I tried to do this for a while and then I noticed the extension on the file I was making was wrong. try that The easiest way to get there is probably to open explorer (Windows Key + E), then enter "%appdata%\asiccoin" as the address. That's a shortcut to your user's appData/roaming/asiccoin folder
