Hello Developers! Tell  , How are you going to use funds received from ICO?

Funds received from ICO ?  its a community project we re all working to revamp the coin  no one has received any funds from ico ! and as far as bounty if you mean reward for mining its 1 coin per block . If ASC is traded threw me all trades from me will go back to helping progress ASC! all of my asc that im willing to trade has been mined . This coin is to nice to not keep it alive! if you would like to follow the project you can find our facebook here https://www.facebook.com/ASCWorldWide/ as well as find all news threw our community website https://asccoin.wixsite.com/ascworldwide. With the community's help we can make this coin great again !

I took the liberty of finding the original repository.  The original developer deleted their account and the repository, but fortunately someone had forked it beforehand.  So, here is the repository which has commit history all the way back to the original asiccoin/asiccoin repository.  From here we should be able to merge in bitcoin updates since that point.

Since y'all are rebooting the coin, I'd highly recommend a new announce thread to avoid confusion.

It's the same coin/blockchain, just making it more accessible.  perhaps 'reboot' was the wrong term?

Pay attention to the crazy agiotage with bitcoin mining. And what harm does this cause to the environment from mining large plants! Dev-less, self sustaining - these features will help in the fact that the coin will not depend on the miners. And transactions will be fast, and consume much less energy.

Personally, I have preferred cryptsy as coinex has a habit of going offline for a few days when they get overwhelmed.
I'm not sure where your trouble is in setting up the wallet, I have mine running on a couple of machines.  I did have to update the conf file, I guess that can be a bit technical.  You do need to be sure the file is a .conf file and not a .txt file.  If you have known file extensions hidden, it is possible you have the file as a .conf.txt.  Are you sure its in the right location as well?
Once the conf file is setup, it can take some time for the wallet to sync with the network (not sure just how long, but its not instant)
With all this grief I may offer an alternate build with the additional nodes pre-packed
