Well all the peeps with large hoards should form a community and drive it. Start with getting more exposure on other exchanges (presently just at coinex). All those with 100K ASC, then now is your time to shine.

ASC trades on Cryptsy.

I believe we just need to be accepted by the community as the source of the source code and binaries.  The code is open source and can be forked on github (i.e., we can continue developing it).

Idd, but we are the community.. the people with a decent amount of ASC.

We can give bounty's for site who are willin to accept ASC.

But only when there is a new developr, who is in for that job?

We just need a website and to accept a fork on the source.

I can create both, but I want it to be the communities site and source, rather than 'mine'.

Is there interest in setting a small community site with a few of us as admins/moderators?  Preference on hosting and tool chain for the site?

Anyone knows what's the profitability of ASC now? It looks like there's no advantage to mine it than mining BTC directly, but I am not 100% sure though.

Correct. Not much profitable as compared to mining BTC. I just mined some and kept on the side as free coins. If you think with your mind, it's better to mine BTC, then buy ASC with it.

I just downloaded the wallet and it's syncing now.

In your %appdata%\roaming\asicoin\ folder create a file named asiccoin.conf and add the following lines:

1 month graph on Crypsy looks very interesting.
Maybe good opportunity to buy?
Or do you expect it to go even lower?

Who knows. It seems the dev is awol and there is very little going on in this forum. I mined a few thousand but then decided to switch back.
