1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Regulated ICO, should this become a norm? on: October 27, 2017, 12:38:40 PM
Hello folks, so just recently stumbled upon an article about an upcoming ICO which is trying to get itself regulated. Does it give a greater appeal to you as an investor? Maybe this should become a norm and ICOs should seek to get reasonably regulated themselves? Want to know your opinion on that.

You can read the article here: https://thebitcoinnews.com/moirai-prediction-market-become-one-first-regulated-icos/

Can't wait till the sale starts. Just followed you on twitter and joined telegram. Will be investing as soon as its open

We appreciate your support. Please be aware that we will be temporarily turning off our telegram channel in order to protect our investors.
Stay tuned for more updates moving closer to start time.

I like that you are trying to protect your investors. Are there any other security measures? Safety of funds?
The project has big potential and really like your aggressive business approach. I might as well chip in for a few btc, just in case this turns out to be a successful product and I can make some decent profit as I did with IOTA. Good luck

People here can tell the difference between IoT and IOTA, they think its the same thing   Undecided A bit sad. That's why I understand the frustration this project causes for some people. There are business already out there, who would be more than happy to implement IoT solutions even on a small scale, but there aren't many choices atm. IOTA promises a lot, but they will take another 2-3 years to do develop. I would actually love to see more similar projects focusing on IoT, AI, etc. , not some useless coins which is going to be obsolete when blockchain and crypto becomes loses its relevance in a few years

Whoa, what happened?

p.s. Am I still banned in this thread?

Am I still banned for saying on multiple occasions that Ken's operation was a scam?

Ken has stated a few times that he was using Mt.gox as a payment processor, converting sales that were paid in BTC to USD. Where the fuck is this USD if he was using our IPO money to fund chip & board development. If you take in 400k in pre-orders you should have 400k on hand. Next, where is the money from sales, as far as I can tell he has sold about 250 boards at lets say @ around 900 each, that should give him 250k as the money to buy HF chips and have them placed on boards came from the VMC coffers.  Am I missing something here.

you're missing one thing - he's a fumbling fuckwit.

oh and the fact that he's a lying twat.

I got a refund but only 6 months and asking for it about 250 times.

Worst consumer experience ever.

Go to woodlaw - fill out their form and take the mother fucker ken to court and get him into prison where he can't cause any more shit ever again.

They are giving out refunds now. Just fill out the form you were mailed and send it back to them... Albeit Bitcoin at current exchange rate... He's not a con artist just a fumbling fuckwit. No excuse though. He is breaking the law. Be persistent

It appears that ken has gone underground and is not answering any mails or PM's.

It appears I was correct in cautioning against dealing with this fraud.
12  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] Official Shareholder Discussion Thread [Moderated] on: June 16, 2014, 05:49:46 AM
Well, a predicament here.

I promised to go though my post history and amend it to say that ken is not a scammer once refund check had cleared my bank.

The money has now cleared but now everyone else is saying what I was saying in the first instance - that ken is a scammer.

What to do?
13  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] Official Shareholder Discussion Thread [Moderated] on: June 11, 2014, 12:03:23 AM
I hate to be the one to say it, but you have all been scammed.

VMC -

Offered and honoured refunds from the start.

They have refunded on average one customer per week since the start of this year.

I had been given bankers check from VMC BOA #123 in feb and another check numbered #138 last week.
138-123 = just 15 Refunds in 4 months - just under one a week.

I am one of the lucky ones but there is an army of people still waiting for theirs.

If it takes one week to do one refund then there's something wrong.

Either they are deliberately keeping the money or have no money.

on the plus side, they are throwing boards and hashfast chips out of the door cheap.. but no one trusts them to deliver.

Refunds:
@Magzy- 2nd Refund check arrived - awaiting clearance at bank.

@metalchain - Still waiting - I sent PM to Ken many times. He always reply to me "We will ~~, ASAP~~~, Quickly~~~, next week~~~"

@cryptoconomist- still waiting  - "Two weeks ago on a Friday I spoke to him again and he  literally promised me he was going to ship my order on the following Monday, but haven't heard from him. Since then, when I log into my account, my initial order has now been moved to "refund" status and my new order to "cancelled" which contradicts what Ken and I discussed.  I wrote so many emails to him and to the Active Mining threads but my posts keep getting deleted"

@meccaflare0 - still waiting "ken owes me like $x"

@greek_hephaestus - unknown  -"Thank you very much Magzy for your suggestion . I will do it in a few days. [contact the AG] First I send one more message to VMC. Thank's again."

@coindesk - http://www.coindesk.com/mining-hardware-companies-miners-roundup/

@lenart_o - I'm waiting for refund [of $10k] since february this year there is no chance to get back my money?? I'm from Poland and I don't have idea how to  get back my money . I was stupid and I was belive in company with no proof now I'm without money

Anyone affected by VMC's total incompetence can take court action: http://www.woodlaw.com/cases/virtual-mining-corporation-and-active-mining-corporation

Ken,

please tell me about the status of my refund cheque!

Ken has wrote a total of 15 checks since Feb. One a week. ( this is going of 2 check number differences in that time) you need to try harder or take him to court. There's a VMC class Acton link on my unofficial thread

Edit. I got my refund check 5 months after asking for it. Worst customer service ever.
Ken refund him already!

Thanks for your support Magzy!  Smiley

@Magzy Seems like your forgot that the refund check was mailed 3 months ago to you.

You need to read this book instead of berating your customers.http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/0471772720?pc_redir=1399293763&robot_redir=1
