Well. I guess somebody became a Bitseeds whale today.
3.57 BTC volume and over 275,000 bought, vaulting us up to the second page on Bittrex!
Is there a working blockchain explorer? I would assume that large purchase was someone self buying unless we can find a transaction of ~275K moving from a bittrex address shortly after the buy up. The distribution tab doesn't seem to reflect it. |

I'm confused as to how Bryce has the coin held hostage if he only has 1 of the keys of a 3 out of four multi-sig wallet.
It seems like it's time to use the three available keys to move the foundations coins back into staking so the network will at least move. Isn't a moving network needed in order for people to prove what share of coins they hold for an exchange anyways? Not sure about signed message, but certainly sending a small amount of coins would need a network that actually solves blocks.

Just wanted to let everyone know that for no reason and absolutely out of nowhere my account 'GabeBitSeeds' has been banned from BTC. This happened after they got hacked and made me change my pw. Upon changing it I was banned and cannot get back in. I have emailed them a few times now asking why, but have not received any responses. After googling banned from bitcointalk I have read many posts about other people being banned for no reason as well, some accounts were even hacked and are still being used, but not by the original owner. Just in case 'GabeBitSeeds' starts posting that is not me. If I ever get my account back I will tell everyone on twitter first using the @bitseeds handle. Until then I will not be using bitcointalk anymore since these weird issues have made me uneasy. Any questions can be sent to @bitseeds on twitter or sent to our reddit page reddit.com/r/bitseeds.
I put the above in Google Translate. It spit this out: "I know that there has only been 49 blocks in over 11 days and zero blocks in the past four days... But I really don't want to talk about it. We will be continuing this radio silence on both Twitter and Reddit." |

Would the Dev(s) kindly consider changing the block time or find away to smooth out the rate? Would surely benefit any future commerce plans.

They now HAVE to be staked 24/7 to prevent another potential 51% attack.
How convenient Then the fair solution would be for the Foundation to send most the staked coins to a burn address. The purpose behind the project is to generate a lot of coins for the Rainforest Foundation. Burning the coins created does not make sense, nor does dumping them on a market. So I would not anticipate either. |

Woah. I'm staking my coins with a fraction of one coin available to spend and the rest locked staking with expected time to reward 16,929 days(!).
Never seen an expected time anywhere close to that high a number. Sure hope that doesn't mean my coins will be unspendable that entire time...
Speaking of staking, would love to be able to do so without running a second OS in a VM. Any ETA on the promised Mac client?
Also, I'm considering recording video tutorials on Bitseeds and doing a giveaway to help continue educating my newsletter's 25,000+ subscribers about cryptocurrency. I can't do that until there's a wallet application for both Windows and Mac.
The reward days doesn't seem to make sense for you. Does anyone else have this problem? I know other people staking with no issues, they are staking 11,000 and it says 8 days for reward. Now that the blockchain is fixed we have reached out to someone I'm sure you all know to make the Mac wallet. That should be done very soon. We did reach out to Bittrex to update the wallets and that should be happening soon. The giveaway idea is awesome and I'm sure Rainforest Foundation will match the amount given away so more people can get BitSeeds. Please PM me I would love to speak with you about this further. Well, I don't know what happened but I staked all of yesterday then started again 2-3 hours ago and the days to reward jumped up to over 40,000 (!) then dropped to 30K, then jumped around 13-16K but just now it's dropped down to 1 hour and most of my coins are available again. Really weird, but I guess I won't have to wait decades anymore before having access to them. That's good! Heh. I'm guessing the Mac wallet will be done by Julian, which is great if so since he signs his builds as an Apple developer, which means Macs with newer versions of OS X are able to run them without changing their security settings. The main focus of my teaching is to help people who are more tech challenged, so the less complication the better. I just PMed you. I think the wallet is behaving normal and what you were seeing was most of your coins actively Staking (not spendable) while just a tiny amount of a single coin was left Spendable thus making your POS-Weight very very Very small compared to the Weight of the network. Only spendable coins can have a Weight against the network and once your staking balance reached maturity they were placed back into your Spendable and your Weight was then including them once again. |

Noticed the blockchain got stuck again right after the network weight went from 4k+ to 48 Mil+
Last Block was a hour and a half ago.

Trying to figure out why the market is back open on Bittrex but there's still no wallet to download, and the pools appear to be offline. Have to assume it's a bad idea to open the older version from a couple of days ago, so I guess I'll wait for further info.  Wait... If there’s no blockchain for Bitseeds, yet they are a tradable market on Bittrex. They are actually Trex-Shares, right? |

Bryce Weiner made it clear on the David Seaman podcast that he would be pumping XDQ using NAUT.
And he made it clear today this isn't him. I just got home so I hadn't seen that, Thank you. Could be who ever he was going to partner with though? In any case, I'm just going to see about getting coins as cheap as possible. |

Just thinking about POS and the possibility that your wallet will need to be unlocked for minting.
What about a simple security feature that lets you lock the nautilus app while your wallet is unlocked and earning NAUT?
I think I read something about creating a batch file for your PPC wallet which allows you to stake with a locked wallet. A few other wallets have a feature that allows you to Unlock your wallet only for staking. So a PW will still be needed to send, but will stake. BK - This might not be necessary, but have you considered having the PoS code audited first by another dev team to make sure it's correct? I know Bryce Weiner and his company does this, so maybe it would be worth asking them to look through it? Normally it's probably not necessary, but I was just thinking since this is a pretty big change and all.
good point but not sure I'd let a guy like weiner be responsible for this. I like the idea of an audit. Julian Yap seems reputable, I have had excellent experience so far...anyone have thoughts? Great call Brian. It would be extra sweet to have a Mac wallet signed by a developer like Julian. I believe he would be a great resource for getting a IOS Wallet made as well. |
