You can't compare someone like Rijk who has a full time job to other founders who can work on their projects full time. Bitvavo listing will change the course for Gulden and with a higher stable price Rijk can quit his job and put effort into Gulden.

What price is needed for Rijk to quit his job and put 100% effort into Gulden?

Don't quote me but from what I remember on slack when the reward change was discussed. +- €0.04c and the development team can be permanently on Gulden, including Rijk.

https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/gulden/eur

Current rate is 0.014, a stable price of 2.8 times more then current price and the outlook for Gulden changes drastically. I would like to see Rijk given the chance to go conferences, promote gulden on podcasts, popular youtube channels etc.

I personally think €0.04c is not a unrealistic stable price, from my own experience working 48 hours a week it would be hard to compete with coins where the founders have the financial resources to work on their coins 24/7. Respect to Rijk for having full time employment and working on Gulden in his free time.

Rijk only knows one mode and that is beast mode, with all the value and work he has put into Gulden for 7 years and still does not abandon ship is quite remarkable. Imagine what this guy could do if he wasn't part time on Gulden, I am thinking 100x within a year.
Has Rijk confirmed what the price needs to be for him to quit his day job?

Why Novo won't succeed and if does it will be good for Gulden.

Look at the bolded parts in the posts below. After looking at Novo it's clear to see that it's success is based on how good you can market the coin to new people, what is the Gulden team not good @ ? MARKETING!
Rijk will have to work harder then he has ever worked to make Novo work, he can't have the same, No one is in charge attitude because this won't bring in new users.

You can only own a max of 2500 and after the initial easy targets the Gulden community have purchased their share, new users have to come in to keep supporting Novo, these new users when they have enough Novo can also turn to Gulden,
this is where the Gulden benefit comes.

Based on Guldens dismal marketing I don't give Novo any chance after the first year when other new hype projects are coming up all the time. Gulden will still carry on because it has without marketing.

Putting money in Gulden / NOVO is similar to purposely dropping your soap in the prison shower.

I find out today Gulden is a ship without a captain.

Rijk  4:56 PM
No one is in charge, it's a decentralized project.

I have followed this coin for awhile and today sold what I had left of this coin, I didnt have much and while I sold at a loss I have no regrets.

In the early days I thought it would be the coins with the best innovation that would do well but as time has moved on I have come to the stark harsh reality that marketing and putting yourself out there as the creator of the coin is a must.

Justin Sun of Tron is a marketing Genius, Tron itself is way behind in what Justin Sun has promised... but what he is doing well is showcasing his project.

Gulden has a lot of innovation but most of the time feels like a ship without a captain, maybe one day the dedicated Gulden users will get their Justin Sun.

Gulden is a marketing tragedy and they releasing the rewards faster while on only 2 exchanges. No denying the development is tpp 20 but everything else is top 1000.

Gulden has officially been listed on the Stex exchange with 2 pairings.

What is NOVO?

Phase 4 next year?

Either November or early next year according to Malcolm.

Good to see this update is almost here. Took it from the dev posts last year.

SegSig

Advantages of Segregated Signature – The 58% factor:
1. 58% space saving on all transactions.
2. 58% increased transaction throughput. No block size or frequency changes needed.
3. Combined with our planned project Epoch, users will be able to run Gulden nodes on the most modest hardware well into the future.
4. Overhaul to the transaction script system which allowed us to implement PoW˛ and SegSig as clean as possible along with other benefits.

Post the 2.0 update a technical write up of SegSig will be

FYI its taken Ethereum 4 years to implement a full POS solution which is coming next year.

Gulden developers are fast and very underrated and under appreciated at these prices.

It has top 20 development but top 1000000 marketing.

Ohhhh haha. You guys rock. In being negative that is.

Let’s do the math.

Now. 100 nlg a block. 80 for the miners (instant dump) and 20 witness. Additionally millions from the pre mine to pay development salaries.

After Sigma (release 16th October): 120 nlg a block. (Yes that is more but...) only 50 to miners. Those are home miners, so probably won’t dump and put those rewards to witness. 40 nlg for Development (probably instant dump) and 30 for witness. Which will encourage people even more to save.

So worse case 40 dev dump plus 50 miners dump:totalling 90, just 10 more than currently (and probably way less because less dump from pre-mine) and probably even less when miners decide to hodl.

I personally expect price to benefit from this.

And how cool will it be to abuse all the pc’s at your office and put them to mining 😜🤣

This guys brain has been too long in Rijk arse. Fact is that 20% more coins are released each block, somehow they will end up in the market, wether it is an instant dump or sell on a different price.
Wake up you cows, dont listen to Xanax filled boys like this

Why didn't they give Miners 30 per block and kept block reward to 100? I purchased coins on the 1st October before the news came out. SuxTBeeMe!

I agree with Henis to keep mining rewards at 100, why inflate a coin that's already in steep decline? My personal view is 50 for miners 30 witness and 20 for development. As SuperOrca says their is no rich investors like ETH, Tether, Btc etc have, so the devs need to raise funds but they will lose out because 20 coins at $1 is more than 40 at $0.1

This was posted by one of the Gulden developers yesterday. Gulden doing a new type of algorithm to have more people able to mine Gulden.

https://medium.com/@MacLeod_MJ_za/an-introduction-to-sigma-the-new-cpu-friendly-algorithm-for-gulden-9395b2db9357?sk=e569ab3b6cdc2276316820296016338b

Gulden will go down as one of the greatest marketing tragedies in crypto history. The development team is super talented but no one is taking notice, the right people with money never bought into this crypto.

There is no doubt some other coin could just copy Gulden and make a huge success with all the tech behind this crypto.

Wow, since my BTC profits allowed me a sabbatical from the crypto culprit, things truly developed on nicely I see!

Makes me think GAB stands for Gulden Addicted Bozos  Roll Eyes

Never mind Rijk already scammed his blind followers out of at least 650BTC (cashed between $ 2mm and 5mm) by selling them "shares". He also claims the remaining 65mm NLG premine left is now his personal asset. Sweet!

But hey, noprob! Gulden development is now secured by ripping off the miners of 30% of their income as well. The money for the phat paychecks of him and his failing brother must come from somewhere right?

Isn't anyone in the Gulden-ward aware that this means the value of and the attention towards NLG will drop even further by this decision? Perhaps if Rijk hands over the remaining part of the premine to more sensible people that can use it to promote the product for a change, that 20% they steal from the block rewards might even get some value again! But my guess is that he is not interested in the success of Gulden, he wants to slowly withdraw himself so he can retire with his stack of BTC and without all the fuss. So ripping out the last bit of trust from this project by this dumb decision was probably a strategic step for him.

Just out of curiosity, at what point will you guys finally wake up and see what is going on here for real?

Sleep well!

Vincent on slack made a post available by Malcolm which is one of the developers explaining the algorithm change. Is Malcolm Rijks brother?

After a longer time i tried the new gulden wallet, all looks good but i get a warning that i have funds on an old legacy wallet, should i transfer the Guldens to a complete new wallet (with seed) or i am save like it is?

thanks in advance
From my opinion do not put it in your wallet ... just sell it today or cry tomorrow.
Facebook coin is coming and will kill all the shit coin like gulden

I would join the gulden slack to ask these questions as they have a support channel, but it's best to transfer out of the legacy accounts because your security phrase only restores non legacy accounts, if you want to keep your legacy account then you need a hard copy of wallet.dat.

@FantoNas
Facebook coin will do good with price because Mr Z can pump it to the moon but it will still be backed by a centralized company who like to give out your personal information. It might do well with the older generation if they make it user friendly enough but old people don't like change. Instagram coin would perform better then facebook coin.

Gulden is not a shit coin, it has very good development with witnessing and linking of mobile wallets to desktop which is the first decentralized wallets to offer this feature. They just terrible at advertising. There is coins that don't have any development that have much higher marketcaps.

First they need to survive Bittrex, volumes are low lately.

Gulden is doing enough volume on bittrex. There is 2.5 pages worth of other alts that have less volume.

Is there a price revolt because of the GAB incident with the Thatch guy.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NLG] The even greater Gulden thread! on: June 11, 2019, 06:58:27 AM

the development of the gulden is ok, but this coin is not going anyware. if your coin value is almost the same als verge or DGB your in trouble. Those coins are beter known then the local gulden. The gulden must develope something amazing to be different then the other alt coins. One thing is very positive are some of the people on slack, they try to get the gulden known to the public, if Sheldon Cooper(Rijk) did more too promote the gulden instead of diong business with geenstijl(lol)maybe the gulden is going somewhere

With Rijk in the driving seat, the coin will not go anywhere. Crypto is a trustless asset class to begin with, and Rijk has lost his credibility. I've personally caught him not telling the full truth about key facts, and blaming the whole world like some confused grandmother in a geriatric ward. Honestly, just read some of the shit he has written in the past.

OTOH, fresh leadership (like the poor soul who was allegedly booted out for wanting NLG on upbit) could turn this ship around.

Can anybody here enlighten me about what the GAB is doing beyond publishing some anarchistic aspirations?

What an idiot. Upbit is the best alt coin exchange. Why do you think GRS is over $30 million marketcap and Gulden can't get over $10 million, Nocks only allows small fish onto the exchange because of small monthly limit. Rijk also kicked out the only people who can afford to get Gulden onto Upbit and Binance and thanks to Rijk we gained some high profile investors.

I was mistaken. The guy was removed from GAB because he didn't attend any of the meetings, wasn't doing his duties. He was wasting a seat that someone else could add value too. The guy should of been honest upfront that he didn't have time for the GAB.

When i bought the Gulden in 2016 i had high hopes for this coin. With the crash last year every coin including the gulden went down big time. Plasman always said on slack all other coins are shitcoins there are a scam.
I have the same feeling now with the gulden. Stupid me that i did not cash in the end of 2018, i was too greedy. The only one who got rich was plasman....

If a man kicks people out of his slack because he cannot handle even the most basic questions, then he has the mental capacity of a broken condom. A man like that cannot be trusted with the fate of other people's money.

You should never invest more then you can afford to lose with investments like crypto. I am gambling on big Dutch business looking at Gulden and some white knights who can promote Rijks development.
Yes youre right never invest more the you can afford. i am not disappointed that i invested in the gulden but all the promises rijk gave on the slack. The gulden is not any bettter then all the rest of the coins...

Financially Gulden has performed dismally compared to other coins with similar development, there is coins with inactive development with much higher marketcaps but they have bag holders that still promote it. I don't have the answers to Guldens low price but hopefully someone smart can figure out what is missing.

I will say this, the gulden community is made up of working class citizens, there is no rich people supporting the project.

Can the Dutch bring glory back to this coin?

https://medium.com/@Gulden/phase-4-android-ios-development-update-2222678ae8b

The development is there but no one is going out for business.

Can the Dutch bring glory back to this coin?

I'd love that, donnatello. NLG was second  (after LTC) script based coin  that had been mined by me  for almost two years. But after  collapse of price  mining  has become unprofitable to me and I had to turn off my A4 innosilicon, right now 10 pcs of them are just sitting there idle.

They should just kick Plasman to the side. He has been more trouble than good for the direction of this coin. NLG needs to make a strong trend this year

I didn't know about a Dutch alternative until someone at work mentioned it to me. I tried a few other alts before but they don't have what Gulden have in development. What they do have is more exchanges and better promotions... I will suggest on slack that more effort must be put into these 2 areas.

They moved from here to https://guldencommunity.slack.com where there is a no ban policy and a good vibe.

Very good news voor Gulden lately and you see that back in the price.

They installed an Gulden advisory board, GAB,  with 9 members chosen from the community to help Gulden with marketing, communication and other things.   These people will help to communicate better between the community and Rijk / developers

Maybe the GAB will undo RP's mistakes and send a strong signal to the world. I have always said nlg only makes sense at higher support levels like 0,20 EUR or 0,50 EUR

I have recently tried out witnessing on the desktop wallets. It's a novel idea I haven't seen with other cryptos, any reason this coin doesn't get more publicity or are the developers beta testing for larger marketcap coins?

There is a large community on slack for Gulden. A Gulden advisory board has been setup to take care of publicity and marketing. The development of Gulden is good but Rijk doesn't have contacts in high places to get Gulden attention.
