The charging companies probably don't like the idea that the transactions are anonimous, since they have to report to a tax agency/government.
I am interested to know what idea's the uPlexa team themselves have about the implementation of UPX. And I don't mean the toaster, consoles, phone and stuff. I think their position on those is already quite clear, but I mean implementation in the bigger picture, like the aforementioned charging stations, green energy projects etc. With Steadfast Storm approaching they have other things on their mind right now, but some vision (apart from ecommerce) regarding this must have been looked at the last year.. I thought something was mentioned in the white paper as an exemple. But the anonimity of the whole UPX story makes it -in my opinion- very hard to get partnerships with serious bussinesses.
the anonymate is an interesting point and depend from where is your view... if i am an agency or service suppliers i need to know who pay me for that goods or that services but if i am the client i don't want comunicate my wallet or my capital traceable like on bitcoin's blockchain... i am pretty sure that there are solutions for link this two point of views agreed, nobody wants to fork out something to somebody that they dont know. the transactions are anomymous which wouldnt work with all the tax things and verifing stuff... |

we must focusses on the next gen... the today young will be the tomorrow utilisator of UPX coins... console is the right choice, all of us and our sons have a console, not only the new system but also xbox, ps3 i don't know if we can go more back... simple app with wallet integrated, download, run... a little config like password or 2fa, setup the wallet in to the miner and go... to the moon... i am excited
I like your idea Cappex. Game consoles have excellent cooling and they are used around 20-30% of the day, others skip whole days of not using them. The only issue is how to make it run 3rd party app. I also fully agree that crypto users in 5-10 years will be the today's kids. Guys, any other ideas for suitable IoT mining devices? (so far mentioned: phones and game consoles). we have already the android app on play store... the same thing must be necessary with playstation or xbox... now all the android consoles can run uplexa miner so we are already launched in this way. what is necessary to add the app in the store of xbox and playstation? I would love to have a console miner, i would hook my old Wii U up to mine haha. Anyone got any ideas about the miners? |

On the topic of decentralization and UPX listing on bisq. Here is a resource Komodo released, obviously biaaed but raises great points on what to look out for but since bisq isnt compared i wonder if we can reach out to them to see how they fair against the competition...? https://komodoplatform.com/decentralized-exchange/Wow, pretty extensive article on DEXs. Thanks for it, I learned a lot (although I did not understand everything). Maybe uPlexa team can consider listing to other DEXes than Bisq? Now here are my after fork mining results: I mine almost the same amount of coins as before. I cannot explain it, but it's a fact. The only difference is the slightly lower network difficulty. But it is not that low either. Has anyone else observed almost same mining results after the fork compared to before it? That link is really interesting and an eye opener! About the mining rewards, I'd say it usually balances itself quite nicely, as some whales will leave the network, making the overall profitability better for those who stay. I haven't tried mining recently so I can't say more, are you still having the same income after some days? What kind of rig are you mining with? Yea, unfortunately due to halving and everything else i've turned off my miners for now. will be turning them on again when the price increases and some of the big miners leave. How about everyone else? |

Ok, halving is complete! Fee reduction by more than 5 times, that's all good news! Congrats uPlexa team for making that happen!
Price action has not followed yet, remains the same as before halving. I consider that a good thing for now, since I can get more Utility Nodes for a bargain price:-)
Anyone thinking the price will increase towards Steadfast Storm? Or only after the roll-out of the e-commerce part and getting a real usecase?
Unfortunately the price has not increased at all with halving, about the e-commerce part. I would love if someone would figure out a way to make a uPlexa atm or something i dont know at this point. I'd also like to know if the team is working on getting like uPlexa onto e-shops and irl shops too, if anyone knows please reply! |

If big miners go away after halving then us little guys will have more UPX for ourselves until the price goes up and they come back lol

Not sure but its buying season if you believe in the project i guess lol I watch the charts and sympathize with those who bought up to this point, their faith in the project goes straight down. But let's see, maybe those who buy today, will be able to return their investments at least 2020 or 2021, otherwise why buy... Im sure when halving and the other stuff happens in Q1 2020. uPlexa will most likely get a massive gain in price. Id suggest you buy $5-10 now if you dont really trust this coin. otherwise $50-100 will show big returns in the future i believe |

I think we have to build commumity and make it is easy to get into uplexa, utility nodes and infrastructure, price is something to worry about unless you are trading.
Yes. If we had something like NiceHash for uPlexa then i bet alot more people would come put some hash on. |

Yep, Halvening will boost price in one week and hashrate is still fluctating, giving chance for me to cut larger piece of the crops  Any feedback (or memories) from the last night's uPlexa birthday party? Considering what halving did to other projects, I wouldn't be too enthusiastic about its immediate effect on the price... let's just hope it won't repel the miners already  The price will move when other serious things are launched, and there are lots of serious things to be launched, so it's better to keep in touch with the project! I missed the Discord Birthday Party tonight, but from the post-looks of it, it sounded like a lot of fun, and airdrops frenzy Good job with that one again! interesting your think about the possibility that the miners shutdown the machines, the current price with the reduction of rewards maybe is not soo good...but i think is an imminent change, i am still excited.  I think it's mostly a matter of "momentum"... if other things happen along with the halving, the price would rise and shine to follow the lesser profitability (thus attracting more miners as well, increasing diff, keeping the momentum going). Those things usually have a tendency to balance themselves... I'm definitely curious to see what halving will do with uPlexa and I'll be closely following the haps. As far as "use case" is concerned, all the "tools" are ready (payment gateways & plugins for all the major opensource e-commerce platforms), now I guess it's a matter of promoting the use of UPX amongst our own community and to a wider audience. The uPlexa Team has been working in e-commerce for a long time already, so I'm pretty sure they'll come up with something (aka partnerships). Of course this all has to be integrated in that "momentum"...With the current price I'm guessing very few potential shops would want to integrate UPX payment now (asking for thousands of coins to pay for a usb stick wouldn't look so good from a pure psychological point of view). Halving will be good for the long run, I suggest that everyone should try as get as much UPX as they can before halving |

Yes. I've only been here for a few months but i can already see this project going well. With some events its like 4AM when they start for me so rip.... but there will be good prizes of lots of uPlexa up for grabs |

The price is still down to the cave, so if you believe in the Team & project it's the very best time to invest, for sure! I'm ready to launch my nodes here Yess, its a very good thing to even just buy about 10-20$ dollars worth since who knows what could happen in the future. For all we know uPlexa could be the next BitCoin! |

Hopefully as many people that have 2M upx will run a node lol yea, im not even close with my 15k uplexa haha. i think running a node would be a good investement and a good help to the community |

to finally realize that I had no backup of my wallet.dat, and I'd sent some collaterals to a few addresses for which I didn't have the privkeys See, Imagine you'd have to set up a utility node when you don't even know all those words in the first place. That's (almost) the state I am in right now. Bring on the quality tutorials, including the shopping lists, links etc. Or indeed have a prepared one klick- one buy Pi that you just need to power up, cause I think that's the way to have some proper adoption. Sounds like an awesome idea! Building a "uPlexa-node-ready-Pi" machine, with a custom box design eventually, pre-filled with 2M upx, ready-to-buy! I'm not kidding, some other projects are doing this, and they meet a certain success... that'd be awesome i'd love that so much just ready to start up you're own node with barely any experience. also it'd cost like $500-1000 to actually sell Very good idea tho |

I think there are some crypto projects out there that are stake pools exclusively? or masternode hosts? maybe there could be some sort of collaboration... masternodes get a bad rep as it is.... O.0

Is it possible for a noob to implement a utilitynode into a raspberry pie 4? What kind of equipment is needed to run a node yourself? I'd like to get one myself, but 24h power-on is pretty expensive with my standard homepc.
There are a few ways to get it done. Id personally set up a virtual pc host using googles free service or as you say get a raspberry pi. Both options will work veey well but one day as the node gets bigger google will want a few dollars a year to make the storage bigger for the virtual machine. I will make a full instructional video for anyone wanting to set uk a utiliry node. Hi, sounds intriguing... Google free service you say? What kind of service is that? If there's a free way to host utility nodes that might be a crazy breakthrough for uPlexa... I think he means: https://cloud.google.com/free/docs/gcp-free-tierHowever, under "Restricted actions" it clearly says: "In addition to resource constraints, the Free Trial Terms of Service describes uses cases that are prohibited during the free trial. For example, you may not use GCP services to mine cryptocurrency during your free trial." I don't know if that includes running a crypto node. Oh, right... Then it's 'free for a very limited period'.. Very interesting for hosting a node 😁😁 Plus yeah, Google will kick your butt after a few days most probably. Let's not be greedy, a small vps costs $30 a year, that seems fair enough  Yea, i don't think hosting a node on google free service would be the way to go tbh |

Been mining uPlexa for about a month or so and have made about 11k uplexa! I've tried mining monero and other cryptonight coins and this one is the most profitable by far,
I highly recommend you switch to this coin.
you are absolutely right bro... this project have a silent growth and the present low difficulty in mining not during for a long time. guys the iot devices will be at daily use in the near future and immaginate your tv mining some uPlexa for help the pay the electricity bill... awesome things, silent giant UPX Ye, when we go to these apartments this year ill see if i can get the miner going on the android tv that they have. haha (maybe i can pay back some of the rent) sure bro... for example i have obtained a low hashrate with my old tv box android but they works... the android miner is extremely easy to setup just put wallet and start and this is a good thing for all the possibile final users. i am very happy to had joined this project... Yea, it works i guess. i dont have a android tv box at my home. i agree that android miner is easy to setup |
