i am finding blocks like crazy, but way too may orpans ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) you are not alone... either some nods are messing the network, or the haspower is not propperly distributed and the network is abused with some pool having too much hashpower so blocks found by others are orphaned mostly... edit: based on the pool stats here: http://jackpotcoin.miningpoolhub.com/index.php?page=statistics&action=poolthe pool has 2GHs which is around 70% of the network which has 2.9GHs: http://explorer.jackpotcoin.info/stats/so there is probably the reason why others gets too many of orphans... that pool is basically running the network itself which is sad and ruining the coin. If anyone is mining on that pool, please move your hashing power!

i am finding blocks like crazy, but way too may orpans ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) is your wallet properly synced? Try setting up a conf file with the details from the OP. The extra nodes can help you stay up to date. If you're still having problems, try mining on a pool. I've been mining with about 11 mh/s solo for about a day now and haven't even found a single block. Pretty bad luck on my part but if I don't find any for the next day, I'll just go back to pool myself. I started getting a lot of orphans the past day or two. Ive added the extra nodes I was missing... hopefully that will help. Thanks. Anyone mining with ATI 5970/5870 that could share their settings? I am thinking that I could probably get speeds than I am getting.

Got my 3x 750 Tis running between 4 and 4.1 MH/s. Ive also got my 5970 going at 4.9 MH/s (2.45 MH/s per core). What is everyone else getting with their 5870's/5970's and whats your settings? I basically just carried over the settings I used when mining scrypt. Finding blocks every 2-3 hours solomining at ~17 MH/s... hoping for the jackpot ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

I'm kind of lost here... wasn't there a killer optimization for groestl in the works? Or did I miss something?
v0.9 is out The main post says the latest one is from Feb still? Where is this version? Is it official? they are talking about Christian Buchner's & Christian H.'s CUDA miner project; ccminer. https://github.com/cbuchner1/ccminerOh, is cudaminer dead now?

Think in a 1-2 weeks timeframe. We're lacking a couple more hash functions still before we can do X11. BTW 3 780Ti cards now mine Animecoin at 18.5 MHash/s. ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) Expect similar performance for all Quark based coins. We still aim for more. Christian Still eagerly awaiting the official release Christian ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)

Did you send My 50k to Water Project or a different one?
I still have not received my prize either

With my r9 280x + hd 7970 I consume less power from the wall with X11 then in Groestl.
Groestl consumes an average of ~415 Watts from the wall giving 15.12Mh/s while x11 cunsumes an average of ~370 Watts, giving 4.8Mh/s
(with optimal miner parameters for the cards and athalon II X2 270 cpu+4GB memory) (all measured with a power consumption device plugged into the wall power socket.)
So the conclusion is X11 is more power efficient than Groestl!
This guy says differently: Someone on the french forum about mining i come from run some tests with a simple rig setup, with 2 x R9 280X All tests ran with the same frequency etc.. Each algo can be optimized, but for comparison, it's good. Je suis du Quebec, jmapelle Paul Laufleur vous pouvez voir mon video sur mon site de web, www.quebeccoin.info. All I see is coming soon.... not even that is in French lol

Yeah we had one guy come in here with his "QuebecCoin" which was SHA256 with 1440 block difficulty readjustments... very 2011. Now this guy. This is NOT related to Québecoin (QBC) in any way. If you want to mine a cheap scrypt clone affiliated with the separatist movement, the other one is for you (QCC apparently). If you want a cutting edge X11 coin with DGW and active development and marketing, QBC is for you.
I agree, scrypt clones are a dime a dozen.

JPGagnon, does this coin have anything to do with you guys? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=567106.0I am thinking not because they are very politically motivated (25% of premine going to PQ). Just weird that I stumbled across this coin today and then see that ANN.

WHAT IS UNE PIECE ? UNE PIECE is a crypto currency based on the security pricinpales of BitCoin protocol and blockchain. The fundamental difference with the QuebecCoin is it’s design is intended to reach each Quebec Citizen as well as the currently elected sovenetist government (Le Partis Quebecois) and the top 5 Quebec learning Institutions (Universite de Montreal, Universite de Quebec, Universite de Laval and Universite de Sherbrooke) It is pretty obvious that you are not Quebecois. The PQ (Partis Quebecois) got crushed in the election this week, and the Liberals won a majority. The independence movement in QC is dieing and has been for some time I believe. Also, you are late to the game with this coin, there is already a QuebecCoin launching with a better ASIC proof algorithm (X11) https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=552561.0Why is this announcement in English? The PQ surely wouldn't have this! Smells like another scrypt clone, pump and dump, premine shitcoin.

So is this coin dead now that the Liberals won a majority and the PQ suffered a miserable defeat? There will be no Yes/No referendum coming in the foreseeable future. Its really too bad though, I was hoping that my tax dollars would stop getting transferred to your broke province to pay for all of its social programs the rest of Canada doesn't get. I guess I can mine this coin for a bit and try to get some of my money back that your province has been stealing through Federal Equalisation Payments.
And as far as Quebec being recognized as a nation, that was a political play to gain the Conservatives some ground in your province. Stephen Harper calling your province a nation inside Canada has no real meaning... he was just trying to get his party some seats.
First phrase could have been a real question - to which the answer is, Québecoin is politically neutral, we don't care about political parties. The rest of what you wrote is useless hate. Good luck with your issues. I apologize, I let my political side come out. My personal views aside - the province has overwhelmingly just voted that they no longer care for separation. What makes you think they will adopt an alternative to the Canadian dollar? A separatist nation coin wont gain any traction in a province that is currently screaming for unity. How do you plan to carry out the airdrop? Will it be automated like AUR? Which piece of ID will you use?

Way too expensive man. Gridseeds are $160 USD ($175 CAD) at GAWMiners with free shipping to Canada. Bought a 10 pack of those barrel adapters for 10 USD ($12 CAD) shipped to my door in Canada from Amazon USA.
Your prices are out of line compared to your competitors. Especially since you need to tack on another 13% HST.

Believe it or not, now is a good time to be picking up cards... I agree. Before there wasnt a damn AMD card on Kijiji in my area, only wanted ads. This week, there have have been 10-15 cards listed for sale. Scrypt miners are starting to get out of the game. I think the combination of ASICS and Summer temps have scared miners into trying to recoup their money before the dump starts.
