You know who's really nervous about the election? Ross.

Today he will find out whether he is a free man or whether he spend the rest of his life in a cage.

Anti-abortion laws have been proven to increase criminality and social problems - no wonder, unwanted children are guaranteed a shitty start in life.

Babies aren't born criminals, you know.
Are you sure babies are not born with crime genes? Because I am pretty sure the 2017 Las Vegas shooter got crime genes from his criminal father.

Please get tested for crime genes.

Regards,

-Joseph Van Name Ph.D.

Interesting you mention that. Because indeed some of the genetics researchers have attempted to identify certain alleles that might lead result in a propensity to violence, or even poor impulse control.

Whether their hypothesis has any merit or not isn't for me to say. But it serves nexus for the eugenics argument, that certain genes must be removed from the gene pool. And the eugenicists love their abortion.

Because it's easier to buy off the politicians in the U.S. in order to gain more wealth.
5  Other / Politics & Society / Re: 🔴🔴DONALD TRUMP has been shot🔴🔴 on: July 16, 2024, 12:39:31 AM
I guess good guys with guns were supposed to prevent these things, so why wasn't everyone there carrying? I mean everyone on the gathering are pro open carry, just like the shooter was.

A good guy with a gun shot the assailant. Secret Service incompetence is what got Trump nearly killed.
6  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Biden has to go on: July 04, 2024, 04:10:41 PM
And this might sound bleak, but i think voters are trusting that biden will be replaced by vice president, if something happens to him, and some hoping that will happen.
This was the case in 2019, at my country, when everyone seemed to think that fresh prime minister of leading party should step aside and he did (not, because of health issues), and was replaced by younger one and in result, we got best prime minister in the history of our country. Sure, she did have haters as well, but that's how politics work.

The problem is that Biden's VP is terrible and I don't know anyone who'd be considering voting for Biden thinking "well, if the worst happens we'll at least have Kamala take over".

And in fact, Kamala Harris is at an even greater deficient against Trump than Biden is in the polls. So if democrats were to switch Biden, they couldn't put in Harris.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-13593757/president-kamala-harris-biden-replace-poll-trump.html

Donald Trump: 49% (+11)
Kamala Harris: 38%

Donald Trump: 47% (+5)
Joe Biden: 42%
7  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The Debate on: June 29, 2024, 02:12:07 PM
Not a good performance from Biden. Seemed very confused throughout, constantly losing his train of thought in between the rehearsed lines, and bizarre facial expressions with his mouth gaping open.

He needs to step aside even if its a logistical nightmare for the democrats. Perhaps that's why his campaign suggested they have a debate so early. Gives time for an exit strategy for Biden if things didn't go well.

Most, if not all, of the money is probably sponsored by Stake.

I don't think he lost a satoshi of his own coins.
9  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Will communism ever be realized? on: June 17, 2024, 11:23:22 AM
Understand that the communism fanatics will eventually run out of other the rich's money to spend, then they'll come after yours.

That's why Bitcoin is so important. Most governments have already decided to create their social welfare state by creating new dollars in order to fund their welfare expenditures. Has the same practical effects as communism, except private business ownership exists. The wealth redistribution is essentially the same but it's a pernicious process, one that people are starting to becoming aware of.

Currently serving life in prison, imprisoned when he was just 29. He's now 40.

What do you think?

Not a cure but perhaps a treatment.
12  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The death of Iran president and seven others on: May 22, 2024, 02:54:59 PM
The United States is one of the reasons for this heartbreaking incident. The US had imposed an embargo on the sale of any aircraft to Iran. Because of this the President and his associates had to be martyred. This crime of America will be recorded in the memory and history of the people of Iran. America had no role in the crash of this helicopter.

The U.S. is responsible for Iranian aviation accidents now?

I was surprised to learn the Iranian President was being transported in a 30 year old helicopter, in foggy weather no less. Who would have thought that was a bad idea?

Remember Vioxx?

And no one went to jail for it, only civil penalties that were a fraction of the total revenue produced.

14  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Electricity as a tool for development on: April 25, 2024, 12:45:42 AM
Given the critical role that electricity plays in the development of society, why do the leaders of those developing nations either not prioritize solving their energy-related issues or seem content with the status quo?
Using a personal solar panel to turn on a generator is the only way to survive.

Usually corruption issues. You can look at the entire African continent and find that the majority are living without electricity or without a reliable source of cheap and sustainable electricity. As such, their economies are under developed.

Cheap energy is the blood of any economy. You get rid of it and you can count on economic growth being stunted. And of course, pertinent to some of us, Bitcoin adoption becomes harder.

SBF gets 25 years in prison.

Lucky he didn't get closer to the maximum, which was 100+ years. Probably would have if he weren't so well connected.
16  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What is the benefit of taking hard drugs on: February 20, 2024, 04:02:30 PM
Humans are wired to crave dopamine. There's a biological drive for humans take hard drugs but we usually reason against it because of the side effects and opt for safer sources of dopamine.

A society that's deteriorating with lack of culture has a higher incidence of drug use. It's sad to see.

What do you exactly mean with "lack of culture"? Did you mean lack of education instead? Because I don't see where the correlation between culture and consumption of hard drugs is, to be honest. The United States could easily be one of the countries with the most culture (because of the influence of immigrants from all over the world) and yet, they are the top consumer of hard drugs on the planet.

On the other hand, it is true we all human beings are by design ways looking for sources of dopamine, but that does not mean we will go all in for the sake of it and directly step into the realm of hard drugs and opioids. People very desperate to feel anything are those who are the easiest to fall victim of those heavily addicted substances. And once they are in, it is difficult to go out.

No, I mean a lack of culture.

19  Other / Politics & Society / Re: DeSantis Vows to Abolish IRS, Advocates Flat Tax in Presidential Bid Amidst Stif on: February 07, 2024, 02:10:50 PM
This came at the tail end when he knew it was a lost cause and was forced to say outlandish things as a last ditch effort.
by outlandish you mean "not a good idea" or "an idea with merit but probably wont happen"?

Quote
Ted Cruz recited the same lines in 2016.
they should be held accountable for saying things and not following through. especially if they get into office. there should be a stiff penalty. Shocked

Quote from: Hispo
The United States is a country which tries to keep their annual inflation at 2%, printing more buck for them not to tax people would make inflation to go up way beyond those 2 percent.
but people would keep all their money. imagine how much more money people would have in their bank accounts. plus no more complicated tax returns. priceless

As in an idea with merit but probably won't happen.

Americans have no idea how much power they've given their executive branch over the last decades. The IRS is just a weaponization tool against the common working man. The elites will pay whoever they need to pay to work around the system because they can afford it.

If DeSantis was more aggressive at the beginning of his campaign, he would have been more successful. This came at the tail end when he knew it was a lost cause and was forced to say outlandish things as a last ditch effort.

Ted Cruz recited the same lines in 2016.
