@Kraken-Septimus

I 'm still wainting for my account to be closed and to get back my coins back. Change my email account otherwise.
8 months of waiting.
ticket number 698451

You should complain to whoever has control over letting them operate. If they are acting as irresponsible custodians of your money, you should complain to authorities. I having a nightmare situation with Kraken myself. Would have never guessed, but if they don't get it resolved with me, I will consider taking up my complaints with federal authorities, my congressmen and senators, the congressmen and senators where Kraken is located, state regulators, and state politicians where I'm located and where Kraken operates. Kraken, as a custodian of other people's money, has a very high duty of care to act responsibly. Based on my first hand experience and what I'm reading on these boards, they simply have not and are not.

Its seems to me , that's essential to let know to all, that kraken is a bad website. They want to scam you it's obvious now.
I will make a complain on authority, i will never let down this story.

Now, i know it's going to happen. More and more people complains about kraken. Soon, they will piss off wrong people. And they will be attack and it will be the end of kraken.

Get your money back soon as possible and close your account. Don't lose time to do it.
@kraken-septimus , it's time to talk and to act.

@thenarog - You have been requesting that we change the email address on the account, which you say you no longer have access to, so you can create a withdrawal address and withdraw the funds (for security our system requires email confirmation of new withdrawal address). In such a case we require evidence that you are the true owner of the account. This is necessary to help prevent theft of account funds. We have asked you many times to provide and ID confirmation photo so we have evidence that you are the true account owner. I know you claim to have submitted this, but we haven't received it. We have only received from you photos showing that you are able to log into the account, but this doesn't show that you are the true owner of the account. It only shows that you have the login credentials of the account.

Asking for confirmation that you are the true owner of the account is certainly not being an irresponsible custodian of the money in the account. All we need to resolve this situation is for you to provide the requested confirmation of your identity. Please provide this confirmation and we can move forward. Without it there can be no progress. Although it's unnecessary, you are welcome to contact any authorities you think are appropriate in this case. We would be happy to explain the situation to anyone, but the end result would be the same since we would still need confirmation of your identity.

I'm putting this in a separate post because I am writing now in my private capacity as a Kraken customer.

I got myself verified at tier 4 and, naively, assumed that all would be smooth sailing. Until I discovered that fiat withdrawals didn't work. Tried that on Sept. 1 and the wire transfer failed without explanation. Submitted a ticket, have lost track of escalations etc. Finally on Oct 4 I received a reply that my documents have been reviewed and withdrawals should now work.

Apparently there is a whole extra layer of verifications that one has to go through after one is approved at tier 4 if one wants to actually withdraw cash, which is the reason I chose Kraken in the first place. Don't you think that it is a little disingenuous to tell someone he's approved at tier 4 and can withdraw $500,000/month and not tell him that, well, actually, he can't expect withdrawals to work?

Yes, in some cases there can be further verification steps and some of our payment providers have limits on cash funding that are different from our own limits. I think this mainly applies to cash funding for US clients at this time. We need to be better about communicating this upfront - I think someone was working on this so I'll check and see why it hasn't been done yet.

Don't you think that Kraken should notice that it should be working but isn't? Why is it necessary to even submit a ticket in this case - shouldn't Kraken notice that their tier 4 customer is having problems and start working on the problem on its own?

Oh, and in the middle of all this my login stops working with no explanation from Kraken. Had to open a ticket, resubmit all my identifying information and wait a week. Then I get a message that it's working again with the same password. Why didn't Kraken take the initiative and notify me that there was some problem? If my account was re-enabled with the same password Kraken couldn't have thought my account had been compromised. Why did this happen at all?

Without a ticket number I can't know what the login issue was. We don't have a system that alerts us when clients are having problems with funding or login, so in most cases you need to open a ticket and let us know. An alert system would be nice to have and we will consider putting a project like that in the development pipeline. I'm not sure how easy or difficult it would be to implement though.

Maybe fiat withdrawals are working for me now. I will never know. I have converted my cash account balance to Bitcoin and sent it to an exchange that actually works. At least crypto withdrawals are working, thank you very much.

This thread is a litany of horror stories from Kraken customers and empty promises from Kraken. It is only a matter of time until someone starts a thread on the main bitcoin forum entitled "Kraken: it's deja vu all over again" or "Post your Kraken horror story here" or "Poll: has anyone actually succeeded in getting money out of Kraken".

I'm sorry you did not have a good experience with Kraken. I'll ask one of our support agents to check the status of your account for fiat withdrawals and get back to you. Yes, there are many complaints here and we listen to all of them and are working to improve things. Keep in mind, though, that clients generally only come here to report the bad experiences and not the good ones and the majority of our clients do not have these issues.

trade.kraken.com does not correctly determine buy or sell trade.

On the screen you can see that trade.kraken.com shows trade as a "sell" one, but in fact it was "buy" one - kraken.com view.

One more proof: this order was in "selling" order book, so it should be determined as a "buy"one.

@Dargo, can you fix this? : )

Deleted my earlier response - I will look into this because I think you may be right. It looks like "buy" and "sell" in Recent Trades is referring to the what the maker order was when it would probably make more sense for it to indicate what the taker order was.

Edit: taking 3 tries to understand your point. Tongue You are saying that Recent Trades is correctly showing it as a buy because it was from an order on the sell side getting hit (so buy order would have been taker). But trade.kraken seems to be doing the opposite (incorrect).

I think the answer is that green/red on trade.kraken don't mean buy/sell. Instead green means higher than last price and red means lower (and color doesn't change if price is the same as last price).

Hello,

I work for Kraken and will be helping to manage this thread (Dargo will confirm).  Thanks for connecting with us through bitcointalk.

Confirmed: kraken-protocol works for Kraken. Remember that it is safe to share your ticket number or your public account ID (found under Settings in your account) and no Kraken representative should ever ask for more than this information on btctalk or any other social platform.

@Dargo
Is there an audit planed in the near future?

Not that I know of. We'd like to do another one, but right now many other things are higher priority.

Do you allow fiat withdrawals to 3rd parties?

No, you can only withdraw to bank accounts in your name. Even withdrawals to company bank accounts (under the company name) are not allowed even if you are sole owner of the company.
If I have 2 different bank accounts in 2 different countries, both in my name, can I send/withdraw money in both?

And another question: I read in another forum that about 850 wire transfers (for deposits) have gone lost for a problem on your servers, and people lost their money, is that true?

1 - Should be OK as long as we support both countries

2- No it's not true

I thought there was a way to verify a company ?

Yes, but that is for a company account and you would have to fund the account from the company bank account, not from a personal account.

Hello, Please use the form mentioned by Dargo to escalate your ticket.

Please also note that Dargo will be introducing me the next time he is on Bitcointalk.

I have been using Kraken for a long time and I have never had a problem.  I have withdrawn USD multiple times and received my funds in a day or two.  However, the last couple of days I have been trying to withdraw USD and each time the transaction is failed with a couple of minutes.  No explanation or reason given.  I get the email saying a withdrawal was requested but the transaction has actually failed.  I am tier 3 verified and I have the funds to withdraw.  Like I said, I made a withdrawal in April and received my funds in 2 days.

I submitted a ticket and I am awaiting a response. It appears I am not alone with this problem but anyone who had the problem resolved if you could post what went wrong, maybe it will help be resolve before support gets back to me - I have no idea how long that will take.

If support doesn't get back to you soon, you can use this form to escalate the ticket: https://goo.gl/forms/2VolutBY6HBGJRRA3

It may be that negative BCH balance. I recommend that you correct that balance by buying the amount of BCH you are negative by. Also close any open orders you have. If you are still having trouble, then escalate your support ticket using this form: https://goo.gl/forms/2VolutBY6HBGJRRA3

Hi kraken
Is there any reason my Kraken sepa withdrawal has had the status sending since friday afternoon?
Usually sepa withdrawals are withdrawn on the same day,
Does anyone else have this issue?

Hello,

It might be that the withdrawal came too late to be sent before the weekend and should arrive the following Monday.

Confirming that @kraken-elizabeth does in fact work for Kraken. There will be others as well coming in to help and I will confirm them too.

As always, you should only give out ticket numbers or public account IDs to anyone representing Kraken - we don't need and shouldn't ask for anything more, and definitely not any sensitive info like username, email, etc.

Also, sorry I haven't been too active here recently but I've been very busy. Pretty soon we'll have more staff on bitcointalk to help out so we can be more responsive.

If you have been waiting a while to hear back from support you can escalate your ticket here:

https://goo.gl/forms/2VolutBY6HBGJRRA3

It's a simple google form that only asks for your support ticket number, so it's safe.
16  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Seeking advice on what to do with missing funds at Kraken on: August 24, 2017, 09:47:28 PM
As mentioned above, I work for Kraken and manage our thread here

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=290799.0

^ That is the best place to post any issues you are having with Kraken since I may not notice things posted elsewhere. Right now I'm the only Kraken rep here on bitcointalk and I don't have enough time to do a good job of it lately, so we're going to bring in more people to help out soon.

As OP has stated, the funds have been credited back to the account. We told OP on Friday the 18th that in this type of situation funds usually get credited in 1-2 business days and probably should have clarified that "usually" means it could take a bit longer, which it did in this case. But OP responded in the ticket on Monday the 21st asking for an update and didn't get one, so I apologize that we didn't provide a prompt response at that time.

@sgtwiggles @Newar - clients with a GBP balance should contact us through support about it, we have options for you. We apologize for the short notice, but we thought that things had reached the point where quick action was needed. We should have anticipated this better so more notice could be given, I think we were overly optimistic about being able to roll out infrastructure upgrades before anything like this was necessary.

Thanks, but I do not need to scale the ticket. Since I was told they can not do anything about it.

It leaves a lot to be desired for Kraken support.

So, just lose $ 8,000

I called my bank to communicate with the Bank of Japan. I hope they can do something, everything depends on my bank and it should not be like this ...

If my bank does not do something, I will lose my money. I do not recommend Kraken to anyone.

As we explained to you in the ticket, the deposit has not arrived to our bank account and we are not in a position to trace it because we don't know the route it might have taken in the banking network. The banking industry standard is that the sending bank is responsible for tracing a delayed wire because only the sending bank has all the needed information to find it. It is of course inconvenient, but it's the only way.

overall i am very happy with Kraken. Fast deposits in Fiat and Fast withdrawals (SEPA in my case)
And never had issues on this subject.

the only think they need to fix is the website speed on massive events like this sell off on bcc...i managed to sell though and have no complains !

i might be also luky and sell at this price range some more BCC before goes more down Smiley

Greetings.

You have to take very seriously all the complaints and problems about Kraken that we have denounced here in Bitcoin Talk.

You have to keep in mind that all those problems and complaints you see here are real.

That you have not had a problem so far, does not mean that it is more reliable for you.

Care!

KRAKEN REQUEST: 514604

For example I deposited a large sum of money on 24-07-2017 and has not yet been confirmed.

How can they have so much trouble confirming deposits?

My son made a deposit a week after me 31-07-2017 and it was confirmed the next day.

There are people who take weeks, even months and do not respond to the complaint.

Beware of Kraken!

KRAKEN REQUEST: 514604
