1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Advice needed: 80k USD mining adventure on: August 30, 2018, 10:44:58 AM
I have a cheap (300 usd/month) facility with up 300 amps at 220v. I pay around 0.055 usd/kwh).

You were lucky, you got the fund and had cheap electricity cost, even while people say that's mean nothing, but at least you have it. Between buy the coins directly and buy mining stuff, both have their own risk. You were doing the right thing with splitting the fund (Don't Put All your Eggs in One Basket). As above said, you need to concern on capital recovery as your priority.

I am thinking I will start off with:

2 x Antminer Z9
1 x Innosilicon A9 (would focus more on these if it wasn't for all the bad things i read about Innosilicon)
1 x Pangolin Whatsminer DCR (november is a long time away though)
5 x Whatsminer M 10.

Then about the mining tools that on your plan, I have no idea about it, since my last ASICs was on the museum four years ago.  Cheesy

Initially I was planning on a 50/50 GPU/ASIC split, but as the marked looks a full ASIC focus seems the obvious choice to me.

But, if you are talking about GPUs, I on it currently.
I'm also a GPUs miner (home miner), my electricity cost is three times of yours. My daily profit, opps..seems like will be better to say, my average monthly profits are 200% of the electricity + operational cost (not bad  Kiss). So, when I need to pay the electricity+operational cost for $1, I still keep $2 as my profits (nowadays). I can add some SC of my current mining process, but that's not good for me.  Grin
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Which Coin I Mine With Mobile phone? How Mobile Mining Works? on: May 12, 2018, 07:54:54 AM
It because OP hasn't ASICs nor GPUs. Even while post, OP uses the phone that will use for mining. Relax, am just kidding  Tongue
I didn't get this, where's the joke? The grammar?

It's clear enough the direction of that question. That's more like a statement that mobile mining isn't profitable, then why OP want it? That was also your statement above, Am I right?

Joking with answering an above question will be fun, right?  Wink

Just forget it. Anyway, OP had enough suggestion and technical explanation from you all.

Why you want minning in mobile phone?

It because OP hasn't ASICs nor GPUs. Even while post, OP uses the phone that will use for mining. Relax, am just kidding  Tongue

Hey OP, use your mobile phone according to its function or sell it and turn it into mining equipment if you really want to do mining.  Cool

Warning. Checkpoint is to old. Wait for block chain to download, or notify developers of the issue..
Iam waiting half hour still not downloaded a single block or checkpoint nada 1or2connections  and sometimes to connections disabled.

What to do>?  ?  ?

I think ur problem is Internet connections  Wink
7  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Antminer S1 solo mining, how? on: February 05, 2015, 04:36:55 AM
Ok... with 4THs chances are much better... You will wait for a block only 17 months... As I have said. No sense in that.
But... if You are really interested in how to mine solo with S1, You have more possibilities. Use ckolivas pool, or, and it is pretty more interesting, maintain own server with bitcoind running, then just ssh into each S1 unit, edit /etc/init.d/cgminer script adding --btc-address option and do other staff, probably also replace cgminer binary and then debug and run it and pray
good luck

Yeah agree with u buddy  Wink
8  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Is a Bitcoin mining virus, more powerful than mining farms? on: February 04, 2015, 12:30:29 PM
A better idea would be a virus that infects a miner so that it mines towards your personal address. That'd be more economical.

Miners are mostly run by tech people. It is almost impossible for them to get infected en masse...

yeah almost impossible, but anything can happen.  Wink

Hey does anyone know the best way to solo mine with an s1 ?

Just run ur qt wallet on server mode and maybe u need to setup coin config file such as

rpcallow:
rpcallowip:
rpcconnect:
rpcuser:
rpcpassword:
daemon:
server:
listen:

etc..

which coin You plan to mine solo?

off course bitcoin

Mining bitcoin solo with S1 does not make any sense. Look here https://bitcoinwisdom.com/bitcoin/difficulty and make calculations. To have chance to mine one block per month You would need more than 68 THs.

Read OP! or maybe i can quote for u..here w gooo!

Antminer S1 solo mining, how?
March 02, 2014, 05:52:55 PM

Hey guys,

So, i'm running 4Th (20pcs) Antminer S1's. I just like to try for 30 days to solo mine with them  Grin
How do i make the setup? I've read that you need to point your miners to 127.0.0.1, but does a standalone miner have this?

Can somebody explain me what's the best way to solo mine using a standalone (20x) device?

Thank you

hmm..try altcoin solo mining!

My suggest :
Build private mining pool (I using MPOS), so u no need to buy any miner and no need to pay electricity cost, u can rent hashing power (at nicehash, westhash etc.. ) as long as your diff setting is right

Do some research on altcoin before mining, this is the factor u need to know on ur research
 - Block reward
 - Net hashrate / Global Hashrate (rent half of global hashrate is nice  Wink  )
 - Coin price in Changer ( also buy support )
 - Block Time, for make sure try to find block explorer so u can see how much block resolved per hours
 - Renting price
 - etc....

 Roll Eyes cheers!
