aha..u right buddy  Wink

Hey does anyone know the best way to solo mine with an s1 ?

Just run ur qt wallet on server mode and maybe u need to setup coin config file such as

rpcallow:
rpcallowip:
rpcconnect:
rpcuser:
rpcpassword:
daemon:
server:
listen:

etc..

which coin You plan to mine solo?

off course bitcoin

Mining bitcoin solo with S1 does not make any sense. Look here https://bitcoinwisdom.com/bitcoin/difficulty and make calculations. To have chance to mine one block per month You would need more than 68 THs.

Read OP! or maybe i can quote for u..here w gooo!

Antminer S1 solo mining, how?
March 02, 2014, 05:52:55 PM

Hey guys,

So, i'm running 4Th (20pcs) Antminer S1's. I just like to try for 30 days to solo mine with them  Grin
How do i make the setup? I've read that you need to point your miners to 127.0.0.1, but does a standalone miner have this?

Can somebody explain me what's the best way to solo mine using a standalone (20x) device?

Thank you

Ok... with 4THs chances are much better... You will wait for a block only 17 months... As I have said. No sense in that.
But... if You are really interested in how to mine solo with S1, You have more possibilities. Use ckolivas pool, or, and it is pretty more interesting, maintain own server with bitcoind running, then just ssh into each S1 unit, edit /etc/init.d/cgminer script adding --btc-address option and do other staff, probably also replace cgminer binary and then debug and run it and pray
good luck

Thank you, just what i needed.

Do not miss the 'luck' factor. On my miner statistics, i have 2 found blocks already.
So why not try to run solo, even if it takes 45 days, no pool in the world gives me 25btc in 45 days

It takes 45 days on average.
If you're out of luck, it can take forever

It's like the lottery, basically. Smiley

to mine coins solo is not so difficult. there are many tools helping doing that. unfortunatelly the reason for doing it is what is the problem. if amount of coins You can get soon is near to zero than it does not make any sense.
if the whole bitcoin network hashpower is 300 PHs and amount of blocks mined per day is 144, then to get atleast 1 block per day to see it works You would need to have Your own 2 PHs. if You want to mine solo with 4 THs to see coins falling quickly into wallet mine solo asiccoin for example to learn.

mining.securepayment.cc - You get 97% of the block reward.

Just pray you don't get an orphan... if you find one with only one S1.

i think the op, and every other person that visits this thread is trying to get their antminers1 to solo, not mine at a solo pool or hear how impossible it is. you read that crap every where. i have tried repeatedly to get my ants to solo to no avail, I have had it get work but it ends up rejecting work sent to the wallet even when trying to mine a super low difficulty coin. The best solo mining info for the AntS1 is here:
Code:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=863242.0

and isnt the point of bitcoin decentralization? wouldnt solo mining contribute to decentralization more so than pooled mining?

Still waiting, FrazzleNutz

Hey does anyone know the best way to solo mine with an s1 ?
Point it at my solo pool:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=763510.0

I am currently pointing an old S1 to this pool and crossing my fingers, according the address it seems to either have gotten donations or some users have actually hit.
Good luck! As the topic says the pool's solved 27 blocks so far.
