Yeah I agree, a countdown timer would be good so everyone knows when the second round closes.
It is exciting times and unknown end date keeps me on edge and coming back. Most projects and decks would rush shit just to get it out but glad to see it's being done right here. As above said it has been crying out for a platform like this. And with a dev that is as dedicated to do it right as this, we're all going to be happy when it goes to the Novusphere 👏 Yeah keeps me coming back too but I dont have time for this and I want to invest on the last day but without an end time im screwed.  The 2nd crowdfunding end date will be announced a week prior. Just keep an eye on the thread. An end date will be announced in the coming weeks (late march or early april) |

Couldn't you just tell me because that was hard work reading  It looks like the minimum target will be reached upon the first round before anything has been released. So many burned Vidz  If you haven't read the entire OP at least twice, you should not be investing anything. |

It's their fault they got scammed and you get to keep the BTC and charge them over again for something they thought they were getting the first time. I see how it is. It's their fault and no responsibility for this can be pointed in your direction at all.
I take your point though that it is open to the abuse you suggest.

I wonder how many vidz have been confiscated in this manner away from investors.
I hope this ICO is water tight for the investors because your empathy for YOUR previous investors is pretty poor... from you and the escrow.
If you're going to put words in my mouth, don't expect a proper response when you're not even reading them. I love hearing this accusation that I have no empathy for people who lost money but last I checked there's a 50% swap so that people who would rather support my project and reap the rewards my project produces they can do so without spending any more money than they already have. Such empathy, very fashion, so crypto... yeah you start a new ICO get some Bitcoins and then let them burn their coins from the project that you walked out on(giving them no chance to sell said tokens on vidz) which also raised Bitcoins which went to you not including any vidz you held. But sure, its easy to be empathetic when it pays the bills. How about starting a new project and give the coins out for free to anyone holding an address in vidz? Not raising funds with a new ICO and not asking them to burn another coin? Hell you could even give yourself 5% of the staked coins. Oh yeah thats right because doing that doesn't get you more Bitcoins. A real man would not charge investors that just got burned. But thats just a subjective opinion, carry on. I'm not here to debate what "a real man does" and I'm not sure who's been feeding you information but it sounds like you have half the story? I don't possess all of what was raised in that crowdfund and it's not my fault that project is in shambles especially when I wasn't the leader of it. Unfortunately, many people aren't willing to exactly work for free and I'm not talking about myself here but referring to the costs of graphic designers, other programmers, lawyers, etc. And about selling...  I'm not here to give people trading advice either but the word hedge comes to mind. When people are fanatical and constantly quote details as facts when they can not be verified as if to prove legitimacy are dubious at best. I am not even saying that this novus guy is not everything he says he is. However, I am saying that any person that invested in the original ICO and purchased vidz from him and paid him for those vidz should not have to pay again when they have vidz trapped on his original ICO site. I take his point that in theory the vidz site could be showing fake values in those accounts now and even if they hand him the user account details they are not trustless. This is a big problem and if vidz turns full scam and they never retrieve their vidz and can not swap for novus after paying the novus/vidz dev for tokens they never received their opinions will I'm sure be heard loud and clear in the future and rightly so. Seems a sticky situation for novus. I would say to him it is worth taking the risk. If people can hand you their account details and you log in and verify they have vidz stuck. There should be a provision for those vidz made and novus held aside for them for a period of time. If need be and it is a small amount you will need to extract if from the millions of vidz you have yourself. I guess it will be a small proportion of people that are in this sticky situation. You could argue you only own them 1/2 of what they have there anyway I suppose. Or if you really wanted to could reimburse them at 41 sats half the ICO amount and still be seen as fair. Put a time limit on it too and set aside a max amount of novus. I would expect less than 5% of ico vidz are trapped on the site. The majority would have extracted to wallets or exchanges. Some consideration for your old investors that have vidz trapped because you pulled out should be made. Trust me in the future it will be worth it. A bad start is a bad start. Consider most probably will not even want to hand over their vidz account details and you can put a deadline too. Actually if you believe your friend is going to return it is win win for you because you will get some who will not wish to wait for him to return and will be motivated to switch over to novus anyway. You could even hold back their novus for a time too. I only even know about this due to a person I know telling me their vidz are trapped on this ico site and the old owner is starting a new ICO. Last thing you want is your project branded a scam before it starts. It looks and sounds rather promising in some ways. You want us to manually login to each morons account that decided not to withdraw their vidz from ICO site? Not to mention we can't burn it because it's not controlled by us, rather PV. |

It takes people with a high technical background to see this guys vision. The original Vidz project has an actual product. We will see where this one goes, but if it all works out this could be much more valuable than Vidz.

screening would have to be decentralized. centralized anything is bad design in long term. for now, as it's unfinished, it's tolerable, but it has to be fully decentralized and independent from main devs to succeed and withstand attacks.
also why are people still talking about torrents. there is nothing torrent related anymore on the project. torrent for most people is considered a bad thing anyway, and it's boring compared to IPFS that it actually uses. I guess people haven't read the updates.
I actually disagree. The screening process for content should be centralized. People love to rave about decentralized blockchain postings but this only leads to spam and network ddos attacks. Also another reason the screening process does not need to be decentralized is that this is not a social media. Who would censor a movie or tv show? The tactic the dev team have implemented is the best.. which is why I like these devs so much. They know their shit and can speak proper english (differentiates them from 75% of the devs here). Yes they're anonymous but for good reason. Also to all the idiots fudding here.. The devs have already received the majority of the ICO bitcoin. If they continue to update and go further than the milestones they can easily make much money than they did off the ICO from Vidz. Maintaining the site is cheap because all the content is decentralized. No point in running because of website cost. The only thing they need to do is improve loading times, implement Vidz coin (coming soon), and begin advertising. All this is very little work compared to the potential revenue a popular purevidz website could generate. It's a numbers game and the numbers say: hold long term. |

 What are the escrow release goals and nice to see dabs and seb working on another project. Last one you guys escrowed I invested in. But without any goals for the dev to meet besides releasing a wallet, an exchange, bock explorer ect I wont be investing here. So dev. What are the goals you need to meet before the escrows will release the btc to you. Dude, its right there. Safety from Escrow Development for one app is currently happening, and funding is coming solely from the issuer. This app will be ready BEFORE ICO funds are released to the issuer. www.procommerce.io has the TeamBio. They will do an interview with Coininterview, and work on a couple more. These will be Live hangouts on Youtube or Google Hangout. *************** Once the Wallet and the PRO Coins are released to the investors we will wait 7 days to see if problems arise with the wallet or Coin, then we will release the Bitcoins to the issuer. This way of handling things is useful, waiting times already stopped a number scammy ICO's from happening because there is time to show the validity of the ICO. Please note that the safety I can provide only reaches up to the point where I released the bitcoins to the issuer. Looks good to me. I'll keep watching and see where this goes. Could be the next vidz. So there are no milestones? They get all the bitcoins 7 days after the coins are released and wallet is stable? |

Here is a quick update on the new website design:  I've been working hard the past few days and it's coming along faster than expected. I implemented a dashboard and a database for storing the movies and TV Shows. It seems the dev wants me to focus more on the front end so I will be finishing up the design over the next couple of days and be leaving the back end for the dev to implement. If you're not buying more Vidz right now, then what are you doing with your life? Nice Design. im super stoked to give it a whorl. looks like a lot of buying happened mistoriously just before you posted.  have you been buying more vidz because someone has been.  That would be insider trading! But no that wasn't me, I already have a shit ton from the ICO and don't have the capital to be buying any more right now. |

So when will the new ui be ready for us to use?
As soon as possible hopefully. I will finish the design in 1-3 weeks, then it has to be implemented by the devs. I'd say expect new UI operational in 2-4 weeks depending on how fast the devs can implement it. |
