1  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: Hashkings Lending,Deposit 1.25% INSURED, ALL PPT ACCOUNTS CLOSING ON 8/19 on: December 04, 2012, 08:31:27 PM

I really didn't keep much records.  The only thing I used was the website for making payments and taking in deposits.

If you didn't keep records, how can you have been operating anything other than a scam from the outset?  You've pretty much just admitted that you spent any funds which were in your wallet however you felt like spending them at the time and that you basically treated user deposits as your personal piggy-bank.

I sent the btc to places I thought were going to bring a good return.  So no this wasn't a scam.  I got scammed and that is why I'm not able to return all the coins.

Hashking's guaranteed and insured deposit = just like pirate's BTCST with the same risks and 1/4 of the rewards.

If you are interested in settling, I would ask you to come clean with your books.
How many coins did you take in and where did it all go? How much of it was a pass through to Pirate? How much of it is owed to you by other members? And who are those other people? How much of it went into purchase of mining hardware? What kind of mining hardware do you have?

I agree, to be able to steer towards a fair  settlement I think a significant amount of transparency is vital.

I really didn't keep much records.  The only thing I used was the website for making payments and taking in deposits.

You didn't keep records of how the money was used?!? You don't know who owes you what? How much did you have passed through to Pirate?
If I were you, I'd post information about everyone that owes you money and try harder to get money back from them.

You don't know how much of it was used to buy mining hardware? How many ghash do you have?

Or did you actually just put all of it with Pirate?

I think you need to be more open than just saying "I really didn't keep much records".

I really didn't keep track of where funds went.  If I had coins in my wallet I would buy hardware, make loans, send to pirate.  Most of the Funds were lost because I reinvested with Pirate.  I also has purchased mining equipment that is running at 30 gh/s.  I did spend a decent amount of coins on the hardware when the price was 3-4 per BTC.   If you are looking for specifics I don't have them as I really didn't keep any spreadsheets.

Looks like bfgminer now is working onstratum.  I see less shares acceptedon  my console but the hashrate on bitminter looks right.  Is this the way its supposed to work.

PM me if anyone is interested in making a settlement.

Hashking, just a question. Did you or any of your partners sue the Pirate? If no, what is stopping all of you?

Haven't tried as I really don't have the funds to pursue it.

Perhaps everyone could take a debt reduction of something "middle-ground", such as 30% debt. That would certainly make it more manageable, and is better than getting nothing and hk going into bankruptcy.

If everyone was willing on accepting around 30% of what is owed at current market I would be able to pay back in roughly 2-3 years.
9  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: Hashkings Lending,Deposit 1.25% INSURED, ALL PPT ACCOUNTS CLOSING ON 8/19 on: November 17, 2012, 02:59:55 PM
I agree that someone should do something, but I wasnt running a ponzi.  The person I lent the coins to probably was and he still hasnt returned them.

Liar.  You were promising 168% annual return.  You were paying old debt with new money.  You are a typical ponzi operator.

Not correct.  I sent my coins to a person that was promising higher returns then me and he took off.

Hashking, you need to negotiate with each of your creditors individually. It's highly possible you'll be able to get your debt down to a more manageable level.
Naturally, some people will negotiate and others won't. I'm happy to negotiate my credit with you and come to some agreement.

If you don't even try, then your obviously not even attempting to 'make good' this mess.

This should of been done months ago.

Also, can you reply to this:

@hashking

Your still mining I assume? So your keeping the profits from now on then?

What happened to the 4000btc from this:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=97041.msg1068849#msg1068849

I was lead to believe few/none people invested in this. Yet around the pirate default date, the 4000 btc mysteriously moved and split up?

P.S. Do you know what's happened to Patrick. I know you both Skype each other.

I have tried to negotiate with some of them and everyone pretty much wanted all of their coins back.  I would have to buy the debt back at 5% of the remaining balance to make my debt manageable.  The 4000 btc was used to continue to fulfill withdrawal requests when Pirate shut down.  As far as the mining proceeds go I will be using the funds to hire a lawyer.  Not sure what is going on with Patrick.  I havent really talked to him in weeks.

I apologize for not responding in the last few weeks, but I have been spending the majority of my time trying to figure out a way to make good on the BTCs that are owed to everyone.  With the amount that is owed and I will never be able to make everyone happy.  I feel very bad for this and really have no other means of making everyone whole.  If there is a recovery of funds from the parties that owe BTCs to me,  I will keep my database and disburse when received.  Once again I apologize and am very sorry for the situation that everyone has been put in.

I bet you came out ahead though.   Grin

I wish this was true.  I had sent out what ever bitcoins I had and am also in bad spot due to personal credit ran up to invest in btcst.  I will probably be looking to file for a bankruptcy as this whole mess has ruined my financial situation.

We don't give a shit if this mess ruined your financial situation. You stated that the fund was 100% guaranteed and insured. You own property, you own a car and by the sound of it you also have a job as a real estate agent. I suggest you put your property on the market and sell whatever else you have because you owe a lot of money. This debt is not going to go away and people like myself are getting more and more anxious about getting what is owed returned. It wasn't until someone posted your details on here that you responded. Well whats going to happen when someone turns up at your doorstep?

I already explained my situation.  I cant give you something I dont have.  My debts at this point far more then exceed any assets I have and filing for bankruptcy is the only thing that makes sense.  Also if you are going to show up to someones doorstep I would be very careful about threatening them.  You might not like what they have for you.

luke why helping him? scammer flaged Wink
I don't know why he's scammer flagged, and I don't blindly trust such flags. He seems to be behaving decently in threads I've seen, at least.
Plus he is responsible for providing the X6500 I did the development with, so if I refused to help him I would arguably be a scammer myself.

[2012-10-29 07:05:05] ft232r_scan: Error opening device: LIBUSB_ERROR_NOT_SUPPORTED
Found this in the debug log.
This should be ignored. -D -T will just print debug info to the command window, it won't make a file.
If you need a file, use:
Code:
bfgminer ... --debuglog 2>debuglog

That is the error that I get owhen I use bfgminer ... --debuglog 2>debuglog.  If I use -D -T it does to the windows error message.

I followed the steps for installing dwmingw and nothing appears when I click on the icon.
After installing it, programs crashing will give you an option to debug.
I ran bfgminer, it crashed and nothing showed up for a debug.
What if you run it at a commandprompt with bfgminer -T -D
It crashes and goes to the windows close program or look for solution box.
It should still print out some debug info first...?

I don't see a debug file.  If there is what is the name of it.
