The payments from hashking and patrick stopped at about the same time and they both disappeared... Whats the chances their the same guy and/or working together?
I have a scan of Patrick Harnett's passport, along with two documents showing his address. I don't think it's appropriate to post these documents here (scanned passports are sold on the black market), but his address is (according to the documents): EDIT: Address removed. With the threats going around in this thread I don't think posting an address is responsible. If someone decides to file a police report and need his address, feel free to PM me though.

I agree that someone should do something, but I wasnt running a ponzi. The person I lent the coins to probably was and he still hasnt returned them.
Liar. You were promising 168% annual return. You were paying old debt with new money. You are a typical ponzi operator. Not correct. I sent my coins to a person that was promising higher returns then me and he took off. Who cares what you did with the coins? You attracted people with incredible interest rates, and you defaulted. Argue all you want, but you ran a ponzi. I just hope the people who are owed money contact your bankruptcy company and let them know you hold a significant amount of money in bitcoins that you are keeping a secret until your fiat debt is cleared.

We would need this for filing a police report. I would understand if you'd want to talk to a lawyer first.

I have tried to negotiate with some of them and everyone pretty much wanted all of their coins back. I would have to buy the debt back at 5% of the remaining balance to make my debt manageable. The 4000 btc was used to continue to fulfill withdrawal requests when Pirate shut down. As far as the mining proceeds go I will be using the funds to hire a lawyer. Not sure what is going on with Patrick. I havent really talked to him in weeks.
Based on size I have the 14th balance with you and from the start you haven't even responded to PMs (I have received ZERO communication). This investment was to diversify from pirate and you just send it to him.... You basically have two choices: either you try to find a way to pay us back by selling assets (house, car etcetera) and using most of your wages to make good on the debt, or be forced to do this along the road because with the amount of money involved and and the fact that you actually do have something of value (assets and a job) it is profitable for us creditors to unite and start legal procedure to claim what is ours. I have been really nice thus far and given you the time to get your shit together because I genuinely thought you were a decent human being and would do right in the end on your own accord. The amount of doubt with this I have now is increasing and a few others and myself have started to look at our legal options. This will not just go away.

Actually, he needs to consult a lawyer about this. Liquidating assets in the pre-bankruptcy period will have implications for his bankruptcy so it's not something he should do without advice from an insolvency practitioner.

All I can say is that this is Bitcoin. I don't believe it until I see six confirmations.

Perhaps everyone could take a debt reduction of something "middle-ground", such as 30% debt. That would certainly make it more manageable, and is better than getting nothing and hk going into bankruptcy.

If everyone was willing on accepting around 30% of what is owed at current market I would be able to pay back in roughly 2-3 years.

Can you comment on how a 100% guaranteed and insured deposit is now a 30% insured and returned in 3 years? I'm afraid people are going to come after your assets as those are what should be used to guarantee these deposits.

He's still mining coins, and keeping them for himself. Our coins! What a swindler! Perhaps we should look into contacting his local area paper and informing them about the $100,000+ worth of Bitcoins he stole. They might be interested. Maybe not. If we're really lucky it might go viral, but doubt it.

If you were willing to post shoe on head/sharpie in pooper pics you'd be almost useful (at current market).

Hashking, just a question. Did you or any of your partners sue the Pirate? If no, what is stopping all of you?

I don't have a horse in this race but I did do some internet snooping on the name listed in the thread and it looks like hashking already has some lawsuits filed against him for credit cards and foreclosed properties. I hope you guys are going after the right person, because if this is him you guys will be throwing good money to chase money you might never get.
