1  Economy / Economics / Re: Minimum wage. on: August 21, 2015, 06:13:24 PM
So you believe eliminating min wage will? (dont want to put words in your mouth)
Its necessary, were capitalist...only money makes money here. Here is what i think would happen with out it.
It wont lower cost of living.
It will create more jobs.
It will create a race to the economic bottom.
It wont improve quality of life.
And only those whom are not in a position to make there money work for them will suffer.
If it creates more jobs it by definition cannot simultaneously create a race for the bottom. Labor is a commodity like any other. The greater the demand for it the higher the price for it will be. The statement however only shows that it doesn't solve the problem it claims to solve and in fact cannot.
2  Economy / Economics / Re: Minimum wage. on: August 21, 2015, 04:49:33 PM
What are your thoughts about the minimum wage? Is it a job killer or a way of ensuring companies pay their workers fair wages and what do you think about its effects on employment?
It is the typical leftist form over substance solution to poverty that rather than alleviating poverty spreads it.
3  Other / Politics & Society / Re: TRUMPS rallys are geting so big they have to held in Stadiums now on: August 21, 2015, 10:38:11 AM
The next rally it was going to be held a theater or that holds 1,900 people thats way to small now, with his popularity rising, its going to held here now.

“It’s due to an overwhelming response,” said Kayla Farnon, spokeswoman for the Alabama Secretary of State’s Office. “More than 30,000 people have been confirmed to attend. “

News 5 is told Trump’s campaign has gone the extra mile to make the event as accommodating as possible. Parking will be free, WAVE shuttles to the stadium will be provided, and there will be concession stands for food and drinks.

That should be enough seats for now LOL!. but who knows in a few months from now he might have to rent a small city or town out conpleatly

Trump is a spokesmen for all the anger that people have towards traditional politicians and the traditional political and government systems. His sound bites are loud, simple minded and inflammatory and thus totally unlike what traditional disciplined politicians would ever say. He is the anti-politician. I believe that people are attracted to him on such a visceral level that they excuse or applaud his insane comments with out wondering what the consequences would be if put into action. He may last quite a while as long as people are angry and rebellious. Eventually Trump will have to outline in detail his policies.
Lets see if Trump's detailed policies run the test of time.. Then his followers will be force to think about his policies beyond using him as simply a reflection of their own anger.

"That decision is made by an official. I was that official. I made the decision."

And dems can't see the problem?

They should be in straight jackets. They're a danger to themselves as well as society in general.

Who was president and who made the decisions? Was Hillary the Commander in Chief? Did I miss that?

If you think Presidents make that decision, it's far, far, far, far worse than I thought.

Explains a lot, though.

I'm glad I don't have to read a constant stream of such nonsense. Thank God for forum features.

Russian financial institutions cannot be trusted.
If you don't trust - just don't use them.
I think we'll be able go through that
6  Economy / Economics / Re: Russia introduces its own SWIFT payment system on: August 18, 2015, 05:29:41 PM
lol...let's see if anyone accepts their debit cards,

Why not?
I faced with cases in Germany when Visa was not acceptable and I had to use cash.

Republicans for the most part support the deal, as there is no better alternative.

How do you know Republicans support the Iran Deal?
14  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Obama announces stronger action on U. S. power plants on: August 04, 2015, 05:44:58 PM
There are estimates that it will drive energy costs up to $0.30 per kilowatthour. Currently, we pay around $0.10 kilowathour (depending on where you live). This means that the price of electricity for the average person may triple. I pay about $100 a month in the summer and $300 a month in the winter. I can not afford $300 and $900 a month. And this does not even consider the cost of goods that will increase as production costs go up. It might not impact energy prices as drastically as is being estimated, but we are talking much more than "pennies" out of the pocket of the middle class.

The coal industry produces over 41,500 middle class jobs in PA alone. I guess you think that will be a miniscule loss to the middle (formerly working) class.
15  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Obama announces stronger action on U. S. power plants on: August 04, 2015, 05:42:12 PM
That's a logical fallacy:

Just because something is present at a small concentration doesn't mean that nearly doubling its concentration won't have consequences.

As an example: The stress hormone cortisol is normally present at a concentration of 250 nM, much lower than the CO2 concentration in the atmosphere. According to you argument, we should not pay attention to cortisol, because of its low conc.

However, doubling the cortisol concentration has serious consequences, among others a constantly-stressed state and weight gain.

So, if you want to advocate against AGW, please use other arguments, but not that CO2 is present at low concentration and, therefore, of no consequence.

Why should it be more expensive to use domestic energy than to import it from the middle east because that is the only affect this is going to have? Small domestic coal power plants will be shut down killing American mining jobs, and they will be replaced by foreign oil imports. Just like moving all of our production to China, it has no net impact on the climate. All that is accomplished is further destroy the domestic economy.

Anybody that works for a living knows this is grounds for impeachment. The only one that benefits are the oil sheiks that donated to get Obama elected and the media which gets paid to disseminate his propaganda.
16  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Obama Was Impressed By Lion-Killing on: August 04, 2015, 12:02:49 PM
President Obama was really impressed by lion-killing years before his administration started investigating the killing of Cecil the Lion.

Obama, whose administration is assisting the Zimbabwean government in an investigation into Cecil’s killing by Minnesota dentist Walter Palmer, didn’t used to have a problem with lion-killing, according to his 1995 book “Dreams From My Father.”

How rich is this? Obama wrote about a lion killing in his book. How funny. I hope this makes mainstream news. Of course it won't hurt his image, but it's ironic anyway.
This might actually mean something if Obama had ever denounced the killing of Cecil the Lion.
17  Other / Politics & Society / Boy, 12, opens fire on transgender woman in possible hate crime on: August 01, 2015, 05:24:56 PM
ORLANDO, Fla. —

A 12-year-old arrested in connection with a shooting in Orlando could soon be charged with a hate crime.

A 26-year-old transgender woman said she was chased down the street and shot at several times just before midnight Thursday, police said.

The woman, identified as Andrew West, told police that the child emptied the gun while firing, but missed every time.

West said the boy was on the phone and that she heard him say, "I'm going to kill this (expletive)," before opening fire.

A 12 y.o. boy opens fire on transgender woman but misses.
That's not good. There are many cases of hate crimes towards transgender people. It seems like not everyone can accept all those new genders and it's only the beginning. Transgenders are surely a pretty vocal group of people but they are not numerous. Soon it will be very trendy to change your gender and it will result in more crimes cause there will be always people who can't accept them.

I don't know if the Hell's Angels are going to counter protest this or not. If they do I cordially invite all of you Constitutionalists to go down and argue free speech with them
