I have noticed that too. Apparently there are wrong calculations...Which pool do you guys consider to be the best one right now?
Best pool by far is monero.crypto-pool.fr. No one denies that's the largest pool, but largest doesn't mean best. On smaller pools your payments will be less frequent, but bigger. On the long run you should be getting more or less the same amount of XMR from each pool (it's also been said that you would be getting a little more from smaller pools, but I don't have the theory to back it up). But most importantly, if you avoid largest pools you will be helping to the decentralization by spreading the network's hash power. You should look for a good pool with low latency in your location. Just make sure to ping the mining server address and not the web server, as they may not be in the same location. Also, if your mining software supports it, you should add a backup pool just in case your main pool becomes unavailable. Avoid small pools , difficulty oscillates by 10-30% during the day, if you mine at a small pool and it hits no blocks during the low diff period than you are at a loss. And if it does hit a block during a low-dificulty period you get a bit extra. Over several days it largely balances out. Mine at a pool that hits a block every 10-15mins
A few blocks per day is plenty imo. The most important factor for a pool is reliability and that you have low latency. Bigger payouts is helpful because it will reduce your transaction fees when you try to spend. One suggestion I remember from a while back that was pretty good is to mine in such a way that you get part of at least 50 blocks. That depends not only on the pool hash rate (or your own hash rate if solo mining) but also your time horizon. Wrong. The difficulty keeps increasing, you don't get a second chance when you don't hit a block during the low-diff period.

Hey, Sorry to post again about XMR.TO, but I thought this might be interesting to the general public of Monero: We just published the docs for our beta API at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=959994.msg10512430#msg10512430Using the API, devs can integrate our service into any wallet (standalone or website), scripts, webapps etc. Feedback welcome!

XMR.TOPay any Bitcoin address. Anonymously, using Monero.Hey people, arnuschky, a friend, and I made this new service called XMR.TO. It allows you to pay any Bitcoin address in a fully anonymous fashion using Monero. Payment is nearly instant, so you can use it to pay bitpay bills, or any of your other bitcoin purchases. Have a look at the website, it explains all the details: https://xmr.toWe're still in beta. In case of problems or suggestions, don't hesitate to contact us or just reply in the dedicated thread. Any feedback of course welcome! Excellent work!! You and your friend did more for monero with this one project that the core devs for the last 6 months!

Am i going to be the first to assume, without clues ofc, that this is bter dumping? I dont even know if they had so many monero or if they are indeed going the mintpal way...
Very unlikely... Network hash went down by at least 2MH/s just before the dump. IMO, this is a whale miner who moved on to some other coin and dumped his bag. Current network hash : Hash Rate: 9.99 MH/sec All time low ?

30k xmr dumped. Investors giving up due to non-existent development work.

Are there updates about the freebazaar project? Are devs in contact with him/them?
I thought the project was abandoned ? Did everyone get their XMR back ?

Someone opened XDN games shop - http://xdngames.allalla.com/. I've sent them a request to add XMR as an option too. (had to send it via order form since there is no contact) Can you guys support me on this one? I will try, but I don't think a shop that specifically opened for accepting XDN will accept XMR. Nevertheless, I think we should just try it. There is no harm in just asking. That site stinks of warez...

Yes, lets throw more Monero at scammers... Haven't heard anything from Atrides in a while...

There are 8543 coins in the wallet. I can spend ca.40-50% of my working time. if that is ok, I can start next week. And I'll check the options from other thread about escrow. We need some options and good escrow system with hedging.
Found it, posted 13h ago.

Where are we at with the donations for freebazaar ? Total donated ?
Its funny how Atrides made no posts in the last 24h...
