Same here. I received a refund of 1.7 %. What happened to the 10 % mentioned earlier?

Still no refund.

Still no refund for me either. Sent you my bitmarket username via PM.
4  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BitMarket.Eu - ownership changed (in a way) on: March 06, 2013, 06:28:46 PM
I've reported him for fraud and theft this morning and I am awaiting a call from the police in the coming days to get more information from me.
Well done. Do you happen to know M4v3rs postal address, or did you just state his name, country and photograph?  Huh Edit: Did you report him to the polish police or the police of your country?

So, good luck and keep us updated! As far as the police thing is concerned, they will simply not do anything at all because there is no "public interest".
Probably yes as long it is only one case. However things may look differently, if several people file a police report. And even if they do not pursuit the case any further, M4v3rs name will from now on be on records.

Indeed stop the wichhunt, i also got bitcoins frozen but i'm starting to feel sorry for this guy...
This has nothing to do with "witch hunting". I feel sorry for him too but I also want him to repay the coins that he stole. I do not share your optimism: IMO bitmarket.eu lost all its credibility and trust and will never return to where it was before. So I do not believe in restoration plans or 7-year plans Roll Eyes Especially after the latest events. The only reasonable thing to do is press legal charges.

Posting pictures of his cats and his? car Undecided
I agree.

Most of you guys aren't going to do shit because most of the btc's that go around is for doing illegal stuff like buying drugs on SR... Shocked
Nonsense.

I thought very often what is the use for the owner from this site to do this all without any fee! In German we have a word: "Was nichts kostet, kann nichts wert sein" - translated something like: "for what you have nothing to pay it cannot have any worth!"
Hindsight is easier than foresight.
If you're not paying for something, you're not the customer; you're the product being sold.

Unfortunately proverbs do not get M4v3r to pay back our stolen money.

Now I understand that the owner made his profit to "work" with the bitcoins! It is not acceptable - but understandable!!!!
Not at all. He probably would have gambled on bitcoinica even if the 0.5% fee had already been in place.

Does anybody know M4v3rs mailing and/or residential address?

How come e.g. user mentore (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=79953;sa=statPanel) has Newbie status but can post on a thread outside the Newbie-section: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5441.msg1518796#msg1518796

What if I chose not to cooperate? Will I still get reimbursement or does it mean, I get nothing and need to go to court?
11  Local / Deutsch (German) / Re: Was ist bei Bitmarket.eu los? on: February 10, 2013, 10:06:17 AM
@funkenschuster: Wurdest Du per E-Mail von bitmarket.eu darüber informiert, dass deine Coins eingefroren wurden?

In the German subsection is another user who today was taken by surprise to see all his bitcoins frozen: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=142132.0

OK you should have received an email then, i dont think this happened intentionally, can you log in to the website and see the questionnaire? (I will double check why)
Yes, when I log in, I see the questionaire.
15  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbie Bitmarket.eu-Thread: Who else did not get notified by bitmarket? on: February 09, 2013, 08:00:29 AM
Roll Eyes Of course I have frozen coins, which is why I am interested in discussing the topic. Fortunately the amount is not even close to yours.

What I was trying to say: When I did not receive notification, probably others didn't as well. This also might explain the almost non-existent outrage about M4v3rs-fraud here on bitcointalk and across the internet. So it would be a good idea to re-send e-mails, just to make sure, all users with frozen coins get notified.

As I said, I still wouldn't have learned about the whole situation, if I hadn't logged into bitmarket account, to withdraw some coins. So from my point of view, it looks like M4v3r tries not to "wake sleeping lions".

I'm still not convinced, that M4v3r is not trying to avoid persecution by talking fraud-victims into cooperating and becoming "investors". Sure, I want to believe that he is a good guy who made a mistake. How could this friendly looking young man on the photograph be a scammer? Undecided Yes, he could have just ran off with all the coins, and yet here he still is under his M4v3r pseudonym, trying to "fix" things? On the other hand what do we have about him except for a pseudonym?

What did convince you to cooperate, mralbi?
16  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbie Bitmarket.eu-Thread: Who else did not get notified by bitmarket? on: February 07, 2013, 04:26:07 PM
Wow, 618 coins is really bad, my sympathy for you! I myself did not receive any e-mail, although of course my registered e-mail address is valid and read regularly. I find it highly unlikely that I should be the only person who did not get notified. So I am pretty sure that a lot of affected users who (like me) used bitmarket as a wallet or bank still do not know about what happened and that they are supposed to take the survey.

Due to bitcointalk-forum rules I cannot post in the other thread so maybe you can answer here? (Or maybe a Mod can release me from Newbie-restrictions, so we can talk in the appropriate thread Roll Eyes)

Is the poll on bitmarket.eu binding? For example what happens if I chose not to cooperate but the majority of voters chose to cooperate? Would that mean, that I would not receive any reimbursement? The other thing is, that the poll does not say which amount we would receive initially, if we chose to cooperate. Obviously it would be less than 30%.

I am very hesitant to cooperate because doing so seems like I would subsequently approve of Maciej's fraud Undecided
17  Other / Beginners & Help / Newbie Bitmarket.eu-Thread: Who else did not get notified by bitmarket? on: February 07, 2013, 08:52:25 AM
Ok, newbies are not allowed to post in other sections of the board, so lets see, if there are other "newbies" at bitcointalk, that were scammed by bitmarket.eu. If you are a bitmarket.eu user and do not know what this is about, go and log in to your bitmarket account to see that all your bitcoins are gone (or 'on hold' or 'frozen' or whatever), and have a look at this thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5441.720

Did any of you receive an e-mail by bitmarket to inform you of a) that they lost your coins b) the survey that has to be answered unit February 14th?

tl,dr: M4v3r, owner of bitmarket.eu "lost" all of the users's bitcoins. Now he is taking a survey, how users are willing to handle the situation. I did not receive any e-mail notification by bitmarket.eu. Did you?
18  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Whitelist Requests (Want out of here?) on: February 06, 2013, 06:54:33 PM
I am among the many bitmarket.eu - users, having been scammed by bitmarket Admin and bitcointalk-member "M4v3r". In this thread titled "BitMarket.Eu - ownership changed (in a way) they claim to have sent an e-mail to all of their users to participate in a poll on their website. However I did not receive an e-mail from bitmarket. Instead I learned about the scam by chance, here on bitcointalk. I am pretty sure that I am not the only bitmarket-victim, who has not been notified by e-mail.

I would like to make the above statement in the appropriate thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5441.720
