1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Nexus - Pure SHA3 + CPU/GPU + nPoS + 15 Active Innovations + More to Come on: April 09, 2017, 06:13:40 PM
Any news about a GPU miner for the Prime CPU mining channel? I did see there is a bounty of 20k Nexus to get an open-source one for community to reduce the risk and impact of one or two miners running proprietary prime channel GPU miner software. I believe this is pretty important.

I am currently optimizing..

Private prime miner for the pascal chipset (NVIDIA) 100% faster. Not for sale. For harvesting.

Interesting !

Before attempting to make it open source u should think about how mucky and poor ur frat room is. This is due to the lack of funds and laziness residing in ur ass. If u want to brighten things up a bit, slightly overhaul ur home or buy a cheap van, u should monetize ur work. Without charging money for the miner, u are bound to end ur life on a rubbish dump.
What are you even talking about?  Not but a couple pages ago, he was selling the custom miner he created...

I've released a free update #4 of my optimized Nexus sp-mod miner to the donators (0.05BTC).

More speed and bugfixes for multigpu systems.

The gtx 1070 should do around 144MHASH with -i 47 (140 MHASH with 70%TDP)
Any idea what the hashrate is for a GTX 1060?
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Nexus - Pure SHA3 + CPU/GPU + nPoS + 15 Active Innovations + More to Come on: January 30, 2017, 08:43:27 PM
I tried to install the wallet, but the video tutorials are out of date and the link to the recent database file from the first page is broken, so everything is slightly different from a current situation. So I tried a download links from nexusearth.com
I ended up having two versions of the wallet - 0.2.0.5 and 2.2.2.
The first one runs smoothly and starts within few seconds, but can't load the recent database file. The second version takes 3-5 minutes to start, which is reall pain, but it connected itself to the database file without any problem.
Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? Smiley
It is normal for the 2.2.2 wallet to take several minutes to start up - it's also the version you want to use.  So, you aren't doing anything wrong.  Smiley

is nexus have a mining pool? i have some gpus and i want to try it. thanks
Not currently, no.  Solo Mining is your only option if you want to GPU mine.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v7.0 (Windows/Linux) on: September 21, 2016, 11:07:17 PM
Hey Claymore, will you support Zcash mining with your software? lots of miners are expecting that coin release.
Zcash will be scrypt-n from what i read.

ZCash will use Equihash as an hashing algorithm, which is an asymmetric memory-hard PoW algorithm based on the generalized birthday problem. It relies on high RAM requirements to bottleneck the generation of proofs and making ASIC development unfeasible, much like Ethereum.

1. AMD cards always handle dual mode better than NVidia. Especially 290(X)/390(X) cards, they are the best. RX480 is good too. Other cards are not so good in dual mode.
but Nvidia more profitable on LBRY (1070 get 312 mh...)

Quote
Unfortunately, there is no way to get 0% drop on ETH if you mine ETH+LBC. Why? See item #2.
Fury not drop on ETH at dcri 30
On my 1070s, I've found better profitability with Claymore's ETH + LBRY than LBRY alone (only tried open source miner), as long as I max out at -dcri 500.  Actually, it's the most profitable combo I've found yet, MUCH better than ETH alone, ETH + DCR, ETH + SIA, etc.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v6.4 (Windows/Linux) on: September 02, 2016, 04:50:54 PM
Is there any way to make the miner mine totally automatically when the Windows 10 starts? Without even a single click?
Yes, there is.  The best way I've found is to use a Scheduled Task.  Press your start button, search for Task Scheduler, and create a new task.  Set the trigger to run at logon, and set the action to be start a program.  Then, just link to the Claymore executable.  Store all your settings in the conf and pools text files, and you'll be good to go.

If you need more detailed instructions than that, google "How to create a Scheduled Task in Windows 10"

That is exactly what I want. To enable only 1 nvidia card. It worked with 6.3 and older versions but doesn't work with 6.4

Just checked, you are correct, it's a bug with indexing. Intermediate build with the fix (cuda Cool:
https://mega.nz/#!vsxgXJ6J!leiBtmET6npRXNICCW9LWhaIYe1H5t__9HRt1zLnAy8
Thanks! It works now. Cuda 7,5 in 6.3 is still faster then cuda8 in 6.4. 32.7 vs 32.4 with gtx 1070@100watt

It depends on Windows and drivers version, in Windows 10 cuda8 is faster for 10xx.
I've got Windows 10 and a 1070, and for me cuda 7.5 is faster than cuda 8.

OK this is driving me nuts.  Claymore v 6.2 or 6.4.  I can't hash more than 3.5 MH Eth on any of my new NVIDIA 1070 ( 2 MSI and 2 ASUS).  Just reinstalled Windows 10 64bit and using 372.54 Anniversary update driver

ASUS Card memory - GPUZ shows is Micron.  Let me power off and check the MSI

I might just be reading it wrong, but I just want to confirm... You updated the nvidia drivers and updated Windows to the anniversary update?

Rookie mistake.  I only used the Windows 10 anniversary update driver.  I thought that was a Nvidia  thing , didn't realize there is actually a Windows 10 anniversary  updates as I normally used to service packs.  This fix the issue.  What is the best OC  level?? I am doing +575 for memory and +150 for clock to get 29.5MH eth n 300 sia.  I see others reporting that the 1070 can get 29 Eth and up to 900 on Sia.

P.S Thanks so much for the help
What's your -dcri at?  I run -dcri 60 on my 1070 rig, which gets me 29.5MH Eth and 550 Sia with similar clocks to yours, power set to 65%.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Monero Mining - Buying new CPUs for Old PCs on: August 30, 2016, 11:44:16 PM
Small Form Factor (sff) Pc's are not conducive for GPU mining, simply because they don't accommodate any standard/large size GPU cards. Depending on the size of the lenovo sff pc you've got, they won't fit any vid cards except the low rise vid cards which won't be the cards you want to run for monero or other crypto mining. Your best bet is a ATX size, at lease medium size, PC cases, not SFF.
OP asked about CPU mining, not GPU mining.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v6.3 (Windows/Linux) on: August 28, 2016, 08:11:15 PM

OP updated with new info:

NVIDIA DRIVERS:
9xx cards in Windows 7 x64: just use latest/recent drivers from Nvidia website (for example, 368.81). Note that latest 372.54 is slower than 368.81.
9xx cards in Windows 10 x64: you have to use old drivers (for example, 352.xx) and miner built for cuda6.5.
10xx cards in Windows 7 x64: just use latest 372.54 drivers from Nvidia website.
10xx cards in Windows 10 x64: just use latest 372.54 drivers from Nvidia website, note that you must have Win10 Anniversary update.

For what it's worth, I'm noticing slightly faster speeds (about 0.1MH/s to 0.2MH/s per card) on my 1070s using Windows 10 x64 v369.09.  Anyone else notice this?

What are you guys getting hash rate wise for NVIDIA 1070 dual mining with SIA using Claymore?
I've got a rig with 2 MSI Gaming X 1070s, and I've OC'd them +50 core, +661 mem, 65% power.  I'm getting about 58MH/s ETH and 1100MH/s SIA for 425watts at the wall (including 50watts idle usage).  I've heard other guys get MUCH lower power consumption, but I've got no idea how...

On dual mining power usage is huge, also Gaming X use a lot of power, to save you can drop power limit down, that should lower the GPU voltage (you can check GPU voltage in GPU-z)
Try to get GPU voltage to low as 0.88v, duno what speed can you get stable try ~1800Mhz and push memory as match you can
Samsung can go +800-900Mhz and micron 500-650
Yeah, currently with 65% TDP, I'm alternating around 0.875v to 0.88v, if memory serves me.  I've got micron cards, so +661 mem is the best I've been able to do.

I didn't realize the Gaming X would be such a power hog when I bought them.  Any recommendations for other brands with lower power usage that still have decent fan setups and run cool?

For example, there is no WattMan in Linux.

Ok, but what about in Windows? Are there any advantages?
If you're a casual miner, you could have stock settings for general PC use, and over/under clock/volt settings for mining only.  More options are always a good thing, just be creative and you'll find uses for them.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How will this change the world of mining?? GTX 1080 / 1070 on: August 18, 2016, 07:54:00 PM
For GTX 1070 I can change clock/voltage table as I need. Then by adjusting TDP slider I peek needed range that will be used. Very easy and works without bugs.
Gtx 1070 could use 80 watt and could use 180 watt, hashrates will vary accordingly, what to prefer is up to you ))
Wait, how are you adjusting voltages?  Would you mind elaborating?
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How will this change the world of mining?? GTX 1080 / 1070 on: August 17, 2016, 07:54:58 PM
Its a palit with Samsung memory. If you have Micron GDDR5 memory then you really can't clock it much higher than 4300. If you have still Samsung memory but a bad cooling solution (f.e. inno3d) then it might also only let you clock to ~4400.

I can mine with 4800 memory clock on my Palit, will check the speeds right now.

same thing can't oc above +600-700 or artifact will be all over the place, this with g1 gaming, samsung memory, what palit do you have jetstream or gamerock?
I just checked GPU-Z, and it says I've got GDDR5 (Micron).  I've never heard of Palit before.  Even more interesting that Amph has the same Samsung memory as you, but he's seeing the same OC limits that I am...  If there's a card out there that can OC that much more, I'm pretty damn tempted to return my cards, get a refund, and purchase them instead - and something tells me I'm not the only one that feels this way.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How will this change the world of mining?? GTX 1080 / 1070 on: August 17, 2016, 06:50:50 PM
180 watt for 29 eth and 780 sia is bad
rx 480 does around 26 eth and 470 sia for half the price , that is if you can find any rx 480 lol
...Now I stop with (31.6eth+630sia)@2050/2400@0.975v...
What brand & model 1070 did you buy?  I can't get anywhere near those OC numbers without artifacts and forced reboots.  Best I've been able to do with my MSI Gaming X 1070 is 1950 core, 4465 memory, and 1031mV core voltage.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GPU mining frame: designing, building and buying on: August 16, 2016, 05:05:46 PM
i can make a frame, but i'm finishing the new design and then i'll sell it on ebay for 80 euro plus shipping for international only

Great design!

What is usual shipping cost to US?

if i can lower the height to 10cm for the package it will be 25 euro only, plus customs charge, but i'll declare a low value like 20 euro, therefore no customs will be payed
What about shipping it disassembled?
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ethminer-0.9.41-genoil-1.1 on: August 09, 2016, 08:00:21 PM
i can not underclock the core by -400 the maximum is -200 are you using a modified bios or something?

Nope, stock card and MSI Afterburner 4.3.0 beta 4.
I also could only underclock my core by -200.  Just upgraded from the standard release 4.2.0 to the 4.3.0 beta 4 and now I can underclock the core -400.  Thanks for the heads up!
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ethminer-0.9.41-genoil-1.1 on: July 19, 2016, 08:57:40 PM

Eth pools reject NO shares, unless stale. Dupes they consider too compute-heavy to return negative responses for.
You mean that from miner's POV the hashrate will be higher, but from pool's POV, this will be kind of cheating?

From pool's POV, most will silently drop dupes. The ethminer tends to handle HW errors by not submitting at all - of course, this isn't important enough to tell you about it.

is there a way to measure HW errors ?

I use SGMiner - I built in regenhash, a CPU implementation of Ethash used to verify before submission. You can also use abort() in the area where it happens in Genoil's ethminer. You could let me take a look at it, if you trust me.
Uh, yeah - dude, do that.
