Hi, how do you run a .bat file on ubuntu? it opens the text app... thats why ima asking for help
You see that statement "if you do not know much about the linux commands then just use the GUI as it is identical to windows" is not true  Forget linux if you dont know nothing. You dont run bat file in linux, you run bash file. You must run it form terminal wiht command ./start.bash . You dont have Afterburner or similar programs for linux, you must do it all by yourself through writing scripts... Yes, i know that thats why my first question was is someone had a guide to using claymore on ubuntu. I don't care about afterburner i applied my configuration from claymore. If you prefer headless linux miners, then give the simpleminingos (SMOS) a try. It's mentioned in the OP, and it's simple and easy to use I tried simplemining in another machine, since i installed simple mining in that rig the rig rebooted and never got to enter again so its off i dont know how to fix it.... I find that for something that you are going to pay they need to have better customer support. |

if you do not know much about the linux commands then just use the GUI as it is identical to windows download the zip file extract it configure the bat file with your eth address pool server and execute the bat thats all to it With Claymore miner somehow. If I executed script first, clay turns off gpu1. #!/bin/bash

NOTE: please upgrade to v15.0 as soon as possible, old versions support up to #299 epoch only, they will fail then!
v15.0 supports up to #384 epoch (4GB DAG size).
Hello Mr. Sir Claymore. Im using v15 and still having the problem of the DAG file with 1050Ti in w10. Dont know if that is what you are refering |

Well the problem with the 1050ti 4gb continues. Solutions? what else to mine with them?
There won't be a perfect solution for it in Windows but you can always try Ubuntu. You can use a 16GB Pendrive, install Ubuntu distribution, install Nvidia drivers, download Claymore and run it. You won't face DAG size issue until it hits 4GB for good this time. Will this work? Ubunto i mean? i have to travel to other country to make it happen that why im asking... |

For everyone getting the cuda dag error for 4gb nvidia cards, download and install and older nvidia driver from 2017 range. Use ddu to wipe current nvidia driver. Current nvidia driver is like 550mb, older nvidia driver from 2017 is like 350mb. You save 200mb in vram. Works for 1050 ti, may not work for 1660 bc newer driver.

I've solved the problem with 1050Ti by installing 388.71 driver version
thank you very much, bro! will try it now UPD. It works! But how long? Did not work for me... It worked for me with drivers 388.71! use -eres 0. Before that there were 430.xx and did not work. It worked for few days, but again this morning the problem again... .apart from Linux/ubuntu is there another solution? |

Today i waked up to my nvidia rig fo 1050ti 4gb telleing me CUDA error 11 can allocate buffer. Same problem. woke up, 2 farms with 1050ti 4gb are down. claymore 15.0 win10 32gb virtual memory (was 16) but increase not helped Also me. I have four 1050 Ti cards in my farm and as of this morning the stopped working (after the #294 DAG apparently) with following errors: "CUDA error - cannot allocate big buffer for DAG. check readme.txt for possible solutions." "GPU X failed" "GPU X, CUDA error 11 - cannot write buffer for DAG" Reinstalling the drive did not helped. Win10 64bit. 4GB RAM. 32GB Virtual Ram. Claymore v15.0 Please advice, Thank you. same problem here, gt1050ti 4gb. Linux is not an option for me because is a remote farm, and in this moment i cant go there to put up a new OS. Anyone, has any other idea? |
