Questo significa che ai tempi tu eri già ben radicato nell'universo bitcoin e che sicuramente minavi anche tu.

So che, giustamente, non sono affari miei/nostri...
Ma mi basterebbe sapere se con il saldo bitcoin sei tra i milionari o tra i miliardari...

Esiste una pool su cui puntare il miner, che switchi automaticamente sulla moneta più profittabile al momento?
Ricordo di aver letto qualcosa del genere tempo fa ma non la ritrovo.

Conviene qualcosa di simile? Ovviamente nell'ottica di riconvertire quotidianamente le monete alternative minate in bitcoin o litecoin?

Volevo versare qualche soldo su okpay per poi trasferirli ai vari exchange ma ho visto che per fare un bonifico chiedono una marea di dati.
E' sicuro inviare a loro tutti quei documenti? non è che poi la mia carta di identità ecc finisce in qualche sito russo di documenti falsi?

E, ulteriore domanda, è sicuro tenere sul wallet di okpay un po' di soldi per poi trasferirli ai vari exchange quando c'è necessità?
Ho compreso che non è sicuro tenere il wallet sugli exchange carico e che quindi è meglio appoggiarsi a un terzo servizio con trasferimento istantaneo e con maggior affidabilità, è corretto questo ragionamento?

Ho una bella domanda per voi.
In cgminer ho un hashrate avg di 1.87 Mh/s
Mi aspetterei quindi un rendimento pari a questi 1.87 mhs... controllando i conti ho scoperto però che mancava sempre un 7% circa.
Gira che ti rigira ho appreso che la pool (o per meglio dire Le pools) pagano in base al WU: workutility
che cgminer mi segnala 1740/m.

Qualcuno può spiegarmi perché il mio rig hasha a 1.87 ma invia lavoro solamente per 1.740?
Non ci sono hw. E la reject ratio è sull'1.5% circa.

Sto provando diverse pool e tutte danno un WU diverso ma sempre inferiore (dal 7% al 10% ) rispetto al rendimento medio dichiarato.

So che è una cosa tecnica e magari non frega niente a nessuno ma se qualcuno ha voglia di spiegarmi perché accade questo... sarebbe buona cosa

 Visto l'arrivo di caronte mi stavo un po' preoccupando per il caldo.

Qualcuno ha voglia di spiegarmi bene come utilizzare l'auto-gpu in cgminer?
Se non ho capito male dovrebbe aggiustare il clock per mantenere la temperatura.
Sarebbe interessante usarlo per evitare che la scheda raggiunga eventualmente la temperatura di cut-out.
(anche se mi sembra invece che auto-gpu lavori sulla temp target, cosa che è scomodissima perché va in contrasto con l'autofan!).

Seconda domanda:
Nel caso le temperature salissero forse sarebbe il caso di far minare il rig solo la notte.
Stoppando cgminer nelle ore centrali della giornata.

Come posso fare questa cosa in Linux?
Una soluzione sporca che mi veniva in mente era settare cronotab ogni ora.
Cgminer lo avvio come servizio allo startup e lo gestisco come script con start e stop.

Start cgminer alle ore 20 21, 22, 23 [...] 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 (se cgminer è già avviato, il comando nn ha effetti)
Stop cgminer 9, 10, 11, 12 [...] 16, 17, 18 ,19 (se cgminer è già stoppato, il comando nn ha effetti)

In questo modo anche se c'è un riavvio, o un interruzione di corrente, il pc riparte e a seconda dell'ora cgminer viene stoppato o avviato (con cadenza oraria).

Avete soluzioni più pulite per schedulare il funzionamento di cgminer?

Stavo pensando a uno watchdog per il rig, qualcosa che effettui un reboot se la connessione non è attiva, se il sistema si blocca ecc.

So che debian/ubuntu ha uno watchdog ma sembra che il test della connettività dia qualche problema.
Il ping parte all'avvio quando ancora la connessione di norma non è attiva e la macchina va in in ciclo di riavvio infinito:

Un alternativa potrebbe essere crontab + uno script.
Tuttavia mi chiedevo se esiste qualche pacchetto bello comodo per la gestione di queste cose, magari anche con la GUI

I'm still in the testing zone and I need teamviewer on BAMT to control the rig (not same subnet, different locations).

I started here. http://www.teamviewer.com/en/download/linux.aspx
I download teamviewer_linux.deb
sudo dpkg -i teamviewer_linux.deb
(no missing dependencies).

Teamviewer 8 appears in my program bar.
If I run it, it shows the first windows and after a couple of second the program get terminated.

 Sto cercando di installare  teamviever 8 su BAMT 1.1.

Il pacchetto scaricato si installa e compare teamviewer nel menu.
Clicco, lo avvio, si apre la finestra iniziale... ma poi il programma viene terminato dopo pochi secondi.

Non vengono segnalate missing dependencies durante l'installazione.

 mi stavo preparando ad aggiornare il client ufficiale di litecoin, ma non trovo sul sito nessuna info per verificare il certificato con cui è stata eseguita la firma.
Sul server l'eseguibile risulta firmato da security@litecoin.org - key 969276F5 ma non trovo da nessuna parte ne le info sulla key ne il fingerprint.

Ho notato che all'avvio cgminer segnala un errore:
config file partially load... start cgminer -T.
La scritta appare velocemente e viene subito coperta dalla lista di share accepted.
A parte ciò cgminer si avvia e funziona tutto perfettamente, le mie schede vanno molto bene, no errori hw, l'hash è stabile, i rejected sono sotto 1%.

Tuttavia mi piacerebbe capire e risolvere questo errore: qualcuno sa come fare?
Ve lo chiedo perché sto per trasportare il rig nella destinazione definitiva e vorrei fosse tutto sistemato (andare poi a fare manutenzione non sarebbe comodissimo).
E' vero che tutto funziona comunque bene, però ho notato per puro caso quel piccolo errore e mi sto chiedendo da cosa possa dipendere.

Sto sistemando le ultime cose sul mio rig.
Al momento monto 3 schede 7950. L'ultima di queste schede si aggira sui 79/80 C° quando la giornata è particolarmente calda.
Così per fare due prove ho inserito questa configurazione:

Ora, il fan della scheda che stava sui 79/80C° è sparato al 100% (prima si aggirava sull'80%) e la scheda è mantenuta sui 78C°.

non è un attimino nocivo tenere le ventole costantemente al massimo?
Meglio tenere le ventole al massimo oppure la GPU sui 79C°?

Quando sposterò il rig in un ambiente più freddo non dovrei avere problemi di temperatura, però volevo approfittare dell'occasione per fare questa domanda e capire qualcosa in più.

 Ho comprato 3 7950 da amazon, stesso identico modello.
La prima perfetta. La seconda perfetta.
La terza... dovunque la metto e comunque la metto non va.

Questa scheda, anche se montata da sola (tutto il resto staccato) direttamente sulla MOBO (senza riser), non funziona.

Per non funzionare intendo questo:
Parte BAMT, la scheda si avvia, al primo o al secondo blocco ricevuto, gpumon smette di funzionare, bamt non è più raggiungibile al localhost, cgminer si blocca e la cpu (non la gpu) inizia a lavorare pesantemente.

Mia Soluzione: "reso articoli amazon".
La rimando indietro e ne prendo un altra.

Ma la domanda è, può davvero capitare che una scheda nuova non funzioni con il mining?
Vi è mai successo?

-18% in 24 ore.

Mi interesserebbe sapere secondo voi quali sono state la cause di questo deprezzamento che sembra aver investito tutte le criptovalute.
Inoltre mi chiedevo se c'era una sezione del forum inglese apposita dove discutere (e quindi trovare discussioni) su queste fluttuazioni del mercato.

Qualche giorno fa il valore dei litecoin era crollato a seguito dell'attacco ddos al forum litecoin.
Ora il crollo sembra aver interessato tutte le monete, quindi è ancora più curioso.

Continuando il mio percorso di apprendimento sto cercando di imparare come gestire al meglio i settaggi della GPU.
Ho compreso che non posso fare undervolt sotto linux (BAMT)... pazienza.
Tuttavia alcuni parametri rimango oscuri, nello specifico:
lookup-gap, thread-concurrency, shaders.
Ho visto che queste voci vengono spesso cambiate per ottenere prestazioni migliori.
ad esempio questa configurazione riportata dal Mining hardware comparison page dovrebbe dare 680khs su una 7950:
--thread-concurrency 22400 -w 256 -I 20 --lookup-gap 2 -g 1 --gpu-powertune 20
Prima di far crashare tutto, qualcuno mi spiega cosa sono queste variabili e come influenzano l'hashrate?

avrei una domanda molto niubba.

Sto configurando la mia prima 7950.
Per ora sto vagamente provando a caso varie configurazioni, leggendo la pagina di comparazione hardware ecc.
Di base ottengo  0.6 Mhs (litecoin), tuttavia usando questa configurazione arrivo a 0.64Mhs:

7950    662    ?    1100 MHz    1600 MHz    cgminer 3.1.0    --thread-concurrency 21712 -w 256 -I 20 --lookup-gap 2 -g 1 --gpu-powertune 20 Catalyst 13.3 beta drivers, default openCL, win7 x64, Cards are Sapphire Dual-X 7950s.

Il problema è questo.
A 0.6 ottengo in media un 26% di shares invalidi(?) mentre a 0.64Mhs... il 100%...

La mia domanda quindi è:
cosa sono gli shares accettati e quelli invalidi?
Mi spiegate cosa sono e come si relazionano alla potenza di calcolo?
