Recently, a new Member was Posting actively on the German board and I was surprised, that out of nowhere a new Account was active, which wasn't seen before.
I checked his Post history and no surprise, he was previously active in the Croation and Serbian board, where he made many previous posts. Recently, the Account switched to German, which seems to be his new mother language.

In addition, he is sigspamming the German Forum with unhelpful or even wrong statements, like that Ethereum would be a token, not a coin but Ethereum is a coin.

So, please help me tag this Account for likely being sold or hacked.  Smiley

2  Local / Off-topic (Hrvatski) / PDF e-book u Audio? on: July 08, 2025, 08:12:37 PM

3  Economy / Service Discussion / STOP using AML Blockhair explorer! on: July 05, 2025, 07:16:20 PM
Blockchair.com explorer quietly started adding AML risk score and AML analysis for all bitcoin transactions and addresses without asking users!
They are not asking for any payments right now, but everyone is paying with exposing all addresses, transactions and ip addresses.
If you care at all about your privacy you should stop using this bitcoin explorer asap, especially with clearnet.
They are now promoting AML nonsense with their partners and this can only hurt everyone in the long run.

4  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / BitBox02 Nova hardware wallet on: June 20, 2025, 02:28:03 PM
It looks like Bitbox is preparing to release their new hardware wallet device called BitBox02 Nova.

There is no information on their website, but this advertising banner was spotted in BTC Prague conference I think:

Quote
We're very proud to show you what we've been working on in the previous months. With the BitBox02 Nova, we are addressing our users most asked features.

They also just posted a link for announcement video on their youtube page, and that is starting soon:
https://youtu.be/lkAZS7z7gnc

This device looks similar like BitBox02 and I think they are going to use standard usb type-c connection.

Update:

This was just posted on Bitbox website and Bitbox twitter account.
Price for new device is €175, it is supported on iPhones, and it has short range bluetooth connection.
Screen is more durable with glass top, and device comes in two color designs.
Bitbox02 is using Optiga EAL6+ Secure Chip, probably the same as Trezor 3 and Trezor 5.

5  Economy / Scam Accusations / OpenMonero p2p exchange SCAM!? on: June 07, 2025, 04:28:37 PM
What happened:: It appears that OpenMonero exchange exit scammed, and between 55 and 200 xmr has been stolen!

Scammers Profile Link:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=3675513
Archive: https://ninjastic.space/user/id/3675513

Amount Scammed: 55 - 200 xmr

Website: openmonero.com

Website is still working so be careful and don't perform any trading there!
This member previously created account in bitcointalk forum OpenMonero (ID 3675513), he created self-moderated topic and, he was tagged for plagiarism:

Charles-Tim    2025-02-13    Reference    Self-moderated service of a shady site posted on Nigerian local board. Stay away from this person and the site he is advertising.

paid2    2025-01-17        OpenMonero is shady. They're using LocalMonero's name for promotional purposes without legitimacy, and have done plagiarism by copying the content + style of eXch's ANN. Looking at the ANN and their Terms of Use more deeply, we can also find contradictions. This service should be avoided!

icopress    2025-01-17        Plagiarism of bbcode templates and plagiarism of the LocalMonero domain name and plagiarism of branding. This project has nothing to do with LocalMonero and creates fake ads from supposedly traders who have been cooperating with AgoraDesk for years. There is no chance that your coins will be safe if you test OpenMonero.
6  Bitcoin / Wallet software / PayJoin V2 (BIP 77) Bitcoin Wallets on: June 03, 2025, 06:35:27 PM
PayJoin is very useful for improving Bitcoin privacy and it can also be used for saving fees for multiple transactions.
First version of Payjoin was BIP-78 and it had limitation of requiring both parties to be online, or run a server to coordinate a transaction.
In Payjoin V2 (BIP-77) this limitation is now removed by using asynchronous, serverless PayJoin transactions.
This is easy to use with a simple switch of a button, and one of the first wallet supporting Payjoin V2 is Cake wallet.

To enable PayJojn V2 in Cake wallet download and install the latest version, go to Privacy, enable PayJoin option, and click on Receive to see PayJoin enabled with QR code:

7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / 21million Bitcoin Faucet on: May 10, 2025, 07:36:54 PM
Some people still remember good old days of Bitcoin faucet websites when people got a bunch of BTC for free.

First Bitcoin faucet was created in 2010 by Gavin Andresen as a way of promoting Bitcoin and around 19,700 Bitcoin was distributed.

Charlie Shrem just released a new website for Bitcoin faucet 21million.com that looks very similar like original website.

Design is clean and minimal but there are no free coins available yet.

https://21million.com/

This was the original post from Gavin Andresen in 2010:

For my first Bitcoin coding project, I decided to do something that sounds really dumb:  I created a web site that gives away Bitcoins.   It is at: https://freebitcoins.appspot.com/

Five ฿ per customer, first come first served, I've stocked it with ฿1,100 to start.  I'll add more once I'm sure it is working properly.

Why?  Because I want the Bitcoin project to succeed, and I think it is more likely to be a success if people can get a handful of coins to try it out.  It can be frustrating to wait until your node generates some coins (and that will get more frustrating in the future), and buying Bitcoins is still a little bit clunky.

Please try it out and get some free coins, even if you already have more Bitcoins than you know what to do with.  You can get some and then donate them right back; the address is: 15VjRaDX9zpbA8LVnbrCAFzrVzN7ixHNsC

And here is the first archived page of his faucet website:
https://web.archive.org/web/20100703032414/https://freebitcoins.appspot.com/
8  Other / Meta / New moderator in forum? on: May 01, 2025, 11:40:13 AM
Do we have some new moderator in bitcointalk forum?

Either that, or some old zealous mod just got bored and deleted a bunch of the posts from one of my topics.

This is the note example I received in messages of my deleted posts:

Quote
[moderator's note: This post was deleted but its contents weren't. Due to a violation of either rule 21 or 32 (see https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=703657.0) this post's contents were merged into the first post in a row you've made]

I usually delete all my old bumps, and I am not making consecutive posts in short time span or in the same day.

10  Other / Meta / Bitcointalk vs 4chan hacks on: April 17, 2025, 09:51:38 AM
In case you didn't hear already, 4chan forum was hacked and shut down completely.
Everthing was leaked, including database, emails and IP addresses of members and admins, ban list, and many other things.
I was never a member of 4chan forum, but I did try to register once and I didn't like what I saw.

What can we do to increase security and prevent Bitcointalk suffering something similar in future?

12  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / eXch Anti-Phishing Kampanja - BTC Nagrada on: March 14, 2025, 09:34:45 PM

DomainReport link/email
exch[.]cashhttps://tucowsdomains.com/abuse-form/phishing/
exch[.]ccabuse@web.com
monero[.]forexabuse@namecheap.com
exch[.]centerabuse@publicdomainregistry.com
darknetbible[.]infoabuse@namecheap.com
exch[.]cdsupport@nic.cd
exch[.]cycomplains@nic.cy, domains@nic.cy

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5535260.0

How to proceed?
You need to report at least one of the domain names listed below.
This is generally done by e-mail, so you'll need to include our e-mail address (support@exch.cx) in CC (this is mandatory to claim the reward).
If the abuse report is sent via website - the auto-generated email reply with ticket/case ID must be forwarded to support@exch.cx.

If you want to make reports and to receive a reward, you need first to reply to this thread with your BTC address.

Does this apply to all phishing domains impersonating eXch?
No, the domain must first be approved by our team, and therefore must be included in the list below. Otherwise, reports from unlisted domains, although appreciated, will not lead to a reward. If you've found a phishing domain that isn't listed here, please let us know (by sending us an email or creating a ticket via our support service https://exch.cx/support).
It is obvious that our team will analyze the domains that are reported to us, so creating new ones in order to abuse the rewards will not be possible. We only consider to add new domains when they're older than 6 months.

Will I earn a reward? If so, how much and what are the eligibility requirements?
eXch offers a reward of 0.1 BTC per domain suspended.
This reward will be shared between the different users who efficiently reported the domain (once again we insist on the necessity to put our email in CC or to forward us the ticket/case ID).
We consider a domain to be fully suspended when it is offline for more than 1 month. Rewards will not be distributed outside these conditions.
Once a domain has been suspended, eXch will take the time necessary to check the various reports, and will reward users accordingly.

13  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Bluetooth Backdoor Hidden Vulnerability! on: March 12, 2025, 08:24:50 PM
Few days I saw this news released in many tech security websites, and it just confirms what I suspected a long time ago.

Specific Bluetooth ESP32 microchips mentioned in this articles are made by Chinese manufacturer Espressif, but something similar could apply to other manufacturers.
1 billion devices could be affected with this vulnerability and attacks can permanently infect devices like mobile phones, computers, smart locks, Internet of Things, or bitcoin signing devices.

This is just one of the reasons I generally don't like using devices with bluetooth, especially for bitcoin signing devices and hardware wallets.

Quote
In total, they found 29 undocumented commands, collectively characterized as a "backdoor," that could be used for memory manipulation (read/write RAM and Flash), MAC address spoofing (device impersonation), and LMP/LLCP packet injection.
https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/security/undocumented-commands-found-in-bluetooth-chip-used-by-a-billion-devices/

Quote
- The ESP32 microchip contains an undocumented backdoor with hidden vendor-specific commands.
- These commands allow low-level control over Bluetooth functions, enabling memory manipulation, MAC address spoofing, and packet injection.
- 29 undocumented commands were discovered by Spanish researchers, collectively forming a "backdoor" that enables potential exploitation for unauthorized access or manipulation.
- The risks associated with these commands are significant, particularly in the context of IoT devices, where an attacker could spoof trusted devices, access unauthorized data, pivot to other devices, or establish long-term persistence.
https://www.ethicalhackingnews.com/articles/The-Hidden-Vulnerability-Undocumented-Backdoor-Found-in-Ubiquitous-Bluetooth-Chip-Used-by-a-Billion-Devices-ehn.shtml

Quote
A €2 chip can open the door to identity theft to connect to thousands of IoT devices
https://www.tarlogic.com/news/hidden-feature-esp32-chip-infect-ot-devices/

Hardware wallets with Bluetooth connection:

- Ledger Nano X, Ledger Flex, Ledger Stax
- Jade, Jade plus
- Passport Prime
- OneKey classic, Onekey Pro
- D'cent
- SecuX all
- Safepal
- Coolwallet
- Era wallet

I am trying to research and identify what Bitcoin hardware wallets and signing devices are using ESP32 Espressif Bluetooth microchip,
and I would appreciate if someone could help me with this investigation.

14  Bitcoin / Wallet software / [LIST] BIP-329 Labels Export Wallets on: February 28, 2025, 09:58:55 PM
I remember there are members who wanted to have feature of exporting labels from bitcoin wallets, and Craig Raw, creator of Sparrow Wallet started working on this with Bitcoin Improvement Proposal 329.
Sparrow wallet recently added full support for exporting and importing labels, and there are other wallets support this feature.
In this topic I will try to follow development and adoption of BIP-329 in new wallets.

You can find more information on bip329 website:

15  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Cardware Hardware Wallet? [unofficial] on: February 20, 2025, 11:03:17 PM
There is interesting new hardware wallet released in the market named Cardware, and it can be purchased for $77.
Cardware is AirGapped only, it is using QR code scanning, and it has CC EAL6+ certification secure element.
There is web app used for connecting with Cardware, but I would prefer to have support for other software wallets.
They claim source code is available but I can't find github page.

https://www.cardwarewallet.com

I am not affiliated with Cardware project in any way.

Korisnička titula
Opis nominacije

Hero of Good

Discovery
of the Year

Just when I thought he can't go any deeper in his pile of crap, he ''surprised'' me with a cease and desist and shutdown of open source project BTCclock!
From now on I am considering nvk to be enemy of open source and I don't trust him.

20  Bitcoin / Wallet software / BTC Wallets supporting SLIP39 on: September 18, 2024, 09:30:09 PM
SLIP39 or Secret Shamir Sharing is made by same Trezor developers who made widely used BIP39 format.
They made some improvements with changing the list of words and their number to 20, instead of standard 12/24 that is used for BIP39.
