Hi, I'm looking for 5 writers to publish articles on my blog to help me expand the content that is offered to my readers. For more information about how to join and what the requirements are, here's the link: http://film2240.wordpress.com/2012/01/03/publishonthisblog/You can choose from any of the subjects mentioned on the link to write about what you know on them.If interested, follow the instructions on that link ok. (PM me your email address and preview of article so that I can send invite to publish the articles on the blog.) Please note that all articles are reviewed before publishing once you've finished writing them for the blog,so don't expect them to show up instantly (but I'll do me best to speed this up when reviewing this.).This is to help weed out the spammers and help preserve the high standards for articles my readers have come to expect from my blog. I hope this info helps and have a nice day :-) Update:Typos corrected and link is now working

I'm selling ad space. There are 4 different types of ad slot available based on size.Pricing will fund the following:
1.Fund developments on my blog to make it better and much nicer for everyone 2.Good causes (via either my own foundation which will be setup later this year or donated to charity-TBC) (about 5 to 10% of the price of each ad slot will go to good causes) 3.Film making projects so I can help make my films better for people who like viewing them or having them made for them.
There is currently a sale on for all standard (65% normal price) and large ad slots (50% off).Offer expires 6/1/2012.
All ads will be shown here:www.film2240.wordpress.com/ads or simply load up my blogs home page and click on the ads tab at the top of the page.TOS are clear on there.
Pricing is negotiable (up to a point)
This sums it up nicely :-)
P.S my ad space sig is also for sale as well (for 1 month term).

Hi, I'm looking to sell ad space on my blog.I'm looking for some quick tips/gauge interest from people who may wish to advertise. There is a separate section dedicated for Ads so that the rest of the blogs content isn't in the way basically plus the ads won't annoy my readers.I'm wondering like, whats the going rate for the various ad types/sizes (standard, large and very large known as premium on there) that I can sell these for?
The ads will be hosted here:http://film2240.wordpress.com/ads/ I need help from people to make sure that: 1.The TOS is clear and fair (may still need some tweaking) 2.The pricing is reasonable in GBP (as I'm based in UK) equivalent for the ad slots.(I need it to be enough to help me fund impovements for the blog and to make this worth my time without being excessive) 3.How payment should be handled. (I'm thinking a different BTC address for each ad slot tier,so 3 in total) 4.How the customer can reach me for putting up the ads and that links work properly (use this forums PM) 5.How transactions should be handled in case of a dispute (again use this forums PM or twitter)
The plan is for me to be contacted for payment, then I recieve the image and links for the ad and I put it up on my blog.Cuts out the middle man this way. This feature is still under development.Once prices and TOS (I have to follow wordpress.com rules as well) are sorted out, this will be ready for the public.
All comments (postive/otherwise) and constructive criticism will be helpful. Thanks :-)

Hi I wish to see guidance on the following: 1.Selling ad space on my blog for BTC 2.Selling spaces for people to author and contribute to articles on my blog
If I wish to follow these options on,what would be the best way to go about it? What rates will advertisers pay me for their ad per month or as a one off fee in BTC? I do this as I wish to fund further developments and improvements to my blog (which may include hiring a developer for certain things or to just improve the site for my readers).
I'm new to selling and wish to learn more about this.I saw websites being sold and ad space being sold but how do I go about this? How can I find people who wish to advertise for a fee on my blog?
Any guidance or constructive comments (criticism/support) appreciated Thanks :-)

Hi Since I've seen the ease of use for adding recieve and send BTC addresses for people who wish to donate to my blog or like an article.I wish to now take this to the next step in making my blog fully BTC friendly. Steps taken so far: 1.Add QR code to ease the BTC donate system 2.Wrote a clear guide linking to the relevant video introducing BTC and showing how they work 3.Plans have been 50% for adding a shop like feature to the blog so that customers can actually browse products as well as just buying them. 2 stumbling blocks remain for me: 1.Wordpress.com doesn't seem to like/let me running non HTML code for embedding most currently available solutions for BTC acceptance. 1b.Whenever a new page is create on wordpress,it doesn't let me post only to that page and instead clutters up my homepage (not user friendly or tidy) so I'm looking for someone to create a professional interface webpage which I can then self host on another provider (after being linked from by main blog) 2.All the shopping cart solutions that take BTC are too complicated (require adding PHP,and other code that my blog just doesn't seem to like) or are unreliable (as certain solutions go offline for good after a while like www.base2shop.com has now or suffer other problems like login issues with no remedy on bitcoinservices.co.uk and my product links becoming dead after uploading as reported by a tester who visited my blog the other day) The things I require in the shopping cart solution are: 1.Simple to setup (and must not require coding beyond HTML or other complex procedures, client side server side,e.t.c) 2.Reliable 3.Must be able to take payment that is sent straight to my BTC address like the Multicoin client does for me whenever a QR code is scanned and hte person pays up.The QR codes and management of BTC addresses and items is good.I just need a shopping cart solution that can tap into that potential and give me funds straight to my computer and not a 3rd party server as I risk losing money that way. 5.Must only let customers pay a set price for the item in question as with the Multicoin solution, the customer can decide how much to pay instead of following the price that's set by me. If this solution doesn't yet exist, can it please be developed by people who know about creating these types of things. When this project is finished successfully with the help of you guys,I'll make sure my shop is open and start conducting business through there as my way of saying thanks (12bvFTAebmVcYTkKjWYcBo8nsGTnA6Dt1E.It's here if you wish to use it).If the created system works well,be sure to say thanks as well so I know what's working and what isn't. Thanks

Hi I'm a prospective seller finding a good easy platform to sell on.I've looked at eBay and they don't let me use anything but PayPal and related methods,I've used Amazon.co.uk but they don't let you sell items not in their catalogue without paying ~£20 as a pro seller,I've yet to get the jist of using play.com to tell via their trade service. It seems that most services are either too complicated to use or have additional fees.
Is there a way I can use a reliable way of selling items via BTC or another method that's easy for UK based sellers? How do I sell items on here? What can I expect from the marketplace here when I trade? What rules govern trade on here? What about protections for the seller and buyer? How can I build a reputation on here so users can get a better impression of me as a seller?
Thanks in advance for any tips you may have :-)

Hi, I was looking at services that let me sell digital goods for bitcoins? The problem I'm having is this: 1.The easy to use ones (2 so far) have closed down 2.The remaining ones are too complex for users like me who can only run an html based blog on wordpress.com
Is there a site that lets me sell digital goods for bitcoins that do the following: 1.Add a buy button or simple link to my blog which then directs the user to the relevant site that sells it 2.lets the user download only when he has paid up 3.Lets me set the price 4.lets me upload files easily
thank you

Hi, I'm just wondering if it's possible for someone to create a widget that I can add to my blog that'll let me accept bitcoins more easily to help support the BTC? If someone's already developed it,can they please link to it with setup instructions for a wordpress.com based blog as wordpress.org based blogs are self hosted whereas my blog:www.film2240.wordpress.com is hosted on wordpress own servers (not my own) and may have restrictions on what code can be run or which widgets can be installed.I'm really not sure so thats why I'm asking.
Thank you

Hi guys, This may seem like a strange request but I'm looking for the faster CPU and GPU miners for mac OSX.I noticed that RPC,the only GUI miner I know of,is incredibly inefficient compared to other CPU miners on OSX (ok I know CPU is worthless for BTC mining but I mine other currencies with the CPU which I trade in for BTC). Whats the best CPU miner for OSX that can be setup easily (installs and runs easily)?
Next is the GPU side of things. Is there a GPU miner for OSX that is the fastest and can be easily setup? The ability to use performance enhancing flags or OC'ing within the app would be a bonus (as I found out the GPU on MBP mid 2010 model is heavily underclocked.stock speed should be about ~500MHz not 370MHZ like now.I found this out on a site that specs hardware for MBPs)
I know that mining on an MBP is next to pointless in the current climate but as I use free elec at work (and VPN to mask my activities) and mine alternative currencies as well as BTC it is worth while and is a net gain for me.85W of power use from an MBP is nothing compared to a heavily kitted out desktop with 3 Hd6990 cards (where the substantial power use could get you into trouble at work more easily)
Thank you

Hi guys, I'm not sure where this post belongs but I wish to propose to create a new currency as I'm not happy with the issues of some of them.
I lack programming skills so I need help to create it.If that ixcoin guy can do it why cant I?(yes I know it's not very original as its a copy of bitcoin but frankly he at least pulled it off even if it's not very well.)

Hi, Just had a look recently at the services section for the forum and I figured that It wouldn't hurt to ask whether it's possible to sell some of my media works (art works, film works and later on other things) for BTC on here?
Is it possible guys?if so,i'll consider setting up business on here. How can I setup an online shop that lets you sell digital artworks, film works, digital products for BTC? I like BTC for simplicity and convenience for me and the buyers
Will people still be trading things for BTC in a few months time or have the times changed for that?
When will BTC rise in value again?
thanx

Hi, I'm looking for a mining contract that can give me the following: 1.More than 7GH/s power 2.Be low priced (as much as possible and must open to negotiation by the merchant) 3.No lock in whatsoever (as this is frowned upon for my specific needs, however I'm open to negotiation on that) 4.Be willing to take Payment with MoneyBookers or other payments like that without a fuss/excuse. 5.Must be open to giving me much more power if I need it (e.g like up from 8GH/s to 100GH/s for 1 day) 6.Must provide good service and be reputable.

Hi guys, I know that mining on GPU cloud based services may seem rather odd,but I'd like to run experiments on this simply because I can't have access to work computers over the holidays (due to a fire some months back affecting certain areas I think).I discovered such a service called:http://www.hoopoe-cloud.com/
It's more for general use but if someone can help me find other GPU cloud based services that I can access for free (limited service is ok as this is an experiment not a serious mining job) and can use for mining then that's ok.
I'd also like someone who is more knowledgeable than me to create a way of using such services for mining.I know that amazon do allow such a thing but how to access the free tier of service (and to make sure i don't get charged for anything).
Any replies will be welcome thank you (as long as they're helpful) :-)

Hi every1, I plan to make a film that will help either promote bitcoins directly or be part financed by them (which would boost bitcoins popularity as it would be famous with my film).
I'm still developing ideas for the film at this point so its not fully planned yet.I plan for the film to meet 5 pieces of criteria; 1.The film should be partly financed by Bitcoins (if possible for people to donate for the film production efforts) 2.The film should at least use bitcoins in someway (even if they play a very small part,in the film in the final copy, this would still make them famous in some way) 3.The film should at least promote bitcons a little (doesn't need to be much but if there's a large turnout at the screening online when or if its able to be made, then bitcoins will hopefully have more of a value and should be more stable to hold onto value) 4.The subject matter can be anything but it can't be rude as the film has to be suitable for everyone (maybe 12yrs and above as little kids probably won't understand/or use them anyway) 5.The film should have a hook to help promote the use of bitcoins (or equivalent currency if btc doesn't do well in the future)
I'll need suggestions (and constructive feedback if possible) for the film.
I'm doing an experiment which kinda relates to this in a way (people who have with spare mining capacity to donate or a hobbyist miner can apply.).The link is here:http://film2240.wordpress.com/2011/07/05/project-gold-river/.The password is test. It was passworded initially to help test a few things but now,I need some more people from here who can help me in this.if hte link doesn't work search for Project-Gold river then use the password.I hope this helps.
For those of you who wish to donate (to help the film efforts or just to show that you like the idea) here's my BTC address:1LiR6RBcbRG6owiEbMVEDCEGpccZRXjK99

Hi, I know this may not be the best place to ask for help with a HDD but I didn't know where else to turn.
My question is,how do you find out the manufacturing date on those drives?because I know that if its Dec 2010 or later no f/w update is needed (to fix data loss bug) but if nov 2010 or earlier F/W update is needed.
I just got it today.
How can I find this on the HDD label (on the disk itself,if possible) or which tools can I use to find this out?
Thank you

Hi guys, I was looking at power supplies as I may need something more efficient as the electric bills have gone up considerably.
Every since I got my Radeon HD 6950,overclocked it (895MHZ core clock and 949 MHZ mem clock) and unlocked its shaders as well,I notice that the power draw from the wall rises to over 310W for no clear reason even though it used to use under 300 Watts from the wall.
My PSU is: An Enermax liberty 620W I got this in summer 2007 The efficiency is only 80% though
If I was to upgrade to a more efficient power supply (like 90% or more) how much would my power use drop? Is this even a worthwhile upgrade? I only have 2 HDDs (Boot volume will be replaced by SSD but most SSDs I saw from the reviews have reliability problems)
Can someone who can recommend me an SSD thats: 1.Uses little energy 2.High performing 3.Has no history of failing 4.No more than 120GB in capacity due to budget (however the bugdet does allow for an SLC based drive in certain circumstances)
Thank you
