1  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTB] Antminer S5 on: January 04, 2016, 04:52:36 PM
In the US, easy to work with. If you have a machine to sell I'm ready.

Not in a rush or desperate, not going to pay crazy money.

thanks!
2  Economy / Computer hardware / SOLD - [WTS] CX750M Corsairs, 2x SP120 Corsair fans - offers please on: April 26, 2015, 02:53:06 AM
No excuses, no doa, badass clean gear with low low hours.

THREE MINERS FOR SALE:
Two S5's have ~2 months run time behind NEW Evga 1300 Supernova (with box and wires etc)
One S5 acted odd, went to BitMain, a brand new replacement arrived. Used about 72 hours and it is rock solid.

ALL UNITS PERFORM TO FACTORY HASH/POWER/PERFORMANCE SPECS - ESCROW COVERS ALL

FOUR POWER SUPPLIES FOR SALE:
1x brand new 1300GX EVGA in box with wires pouches etc - this has to be one of the nicer units out there. Impressive kit.
3x CX750M Corsairs
     2 units perfect
1 unit got hot powering S1's and the male/female pins got melty, works, but needs work

Bonus! Ask nicely and get an AntMiner power/jump switch! Looks hot!

Various - wires, connects, stickers, hubs, fans

NEW IN BOX - Controller with 4 rotary dials (blue black lit) for fan speed. This is a powered controller, so you can add a second fan then control the power/speed as needed. It takes 2/3/4 pin fans. Looks cool, powered so it won't tax or add or confuse with PWM or other nonsense. Perfect way to add some fan speed during the day and slow them down at night when cooler. Really neat setup.

NO BULLSHIT. NO DOA. NO DIRTY GEAR. NO HALF-ASSED PACKING JOBS - ORIGINAL BOXES AND WRAP AND SECURE - ESCROW WILL BE USED WITH A PROVISION TO PROTECT AGAINST DOA OR OTHER FUCKING NONSENSE YOU DON'T WANT OR NEED. I'VE BOUGHT USED GEAR A FEW TIMES AND HAD GREAT AND SHIT EXPERIENCES. YOU WILL GET THE ROLLS ROYCE TREATMENT OR A PROMPT REFUND AND PROMISE TO FIGURE AND AMMEND.

you can leave offers here for others to see and bid against. likely want to ship these 28th or 29th. If you bid here please also PM me. Any questions are welcomed. and anyone that sold me shit gear, that i spent months MONTHS months trying to get fixed so nobody else has to put up with bullshit? watch, this his how you conduct the sale of hardware.

Also! 1x 2pack of SP120 Corsair HP fans. They are nice and quiet and will do the trick, but using the fan controller and another SP120 or SanAce would make it a go.

(I do have some Sickle / San-Ace fans)

pics tomorrow / by request / or can list on ebay (pokeyjones13 if you'd like to see feedback there, have a few disco lights going up for sale there!)

please let me know what item<s> and a fair offer, be in touch pronto.
also.... btc is going to take a jump next week... watch. Wink

SHIPPPING FROM EAST COAST - RIGHT AT AIRPORT / SHIPPING HUB - I DROP TO SHIP IT, SAME DAY IT IS ON A PLANE HEADED YOUR WAY. WILL SHIP WITH TRACKING. FIGURE WE SPLIT COST OR MAKE AN OFFER INCLUDING SHIPPING -OR- ASK ME TO PAY FOR SHIPPING! LET'S HAVE FUN WITH THIS.

3  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTB] 120mm quality case fans. on: April 09, 2015, 11:25:12 PM
Looking for ~3 decent 120mm fans. LED circus fans are ok, Vegas Trio anyone?! However, fan draw cannot exceed 1 amp.

Please pm / post here with what you've got.

thanks!
4  Bitcoin / Mining support / "Dogie checked, issued one controller card" - Help/Thanks! on: March 16, 2015, 03:04:11 AM
Sent this to dogie regarding an S5 that is acting a fool. Seems machine has gone back to Bitmain once and was returned with a new/fixed contrrol board.

(may as well go all out, happy to edit as necessary)

Machine arrived good to go, but a little bit dusty. Could tell it had been wiped down. The nice bubble wrap bag was folded over on top of the machine which was in the proper foam casing. Wire to the fan was almost disconnected. But clean overall, and fired right up.

Then, the hashing dropped off some, no issues with heat, tried different pools, issue progressed negatively. Eventually had to Power / Reboot / Flash, seems to work fine but is very picky about changing pools. Not stable enough to go pool hopping!

Odd item, after flashing the latest firmware that is installed on the machines sitting next to it, my special guy shows 4 chains rather than 2. Odd!

Screen Capture. Hoping this leads to a new control board and instructions.... and a little something for the effort and to help out our impoverished BTCGuild mining consortium cavrtel corporation Inc. L.L.C. DBA 501(c)3 well...

"TEAM DOWNTIME"

humor helps (me). my fault!

5  Bitcoin / Hardware / Strange S5 Occurances - Solve it get a btc reward on: March 11, 2015, 03:50:20 AM
S5 arrived today as expected. Got it all setup with Corsair CX750M PSU. Fired up and mined along at the desired speed. All was well! Then it slowed down to 800's and util was was way up. Worried it was hot or starved for air or the PSU was dying. All checked out.

Power cycled the psu/miner and it came back up, went well, then slowed down. Figured a system reboot couldn't hurt. After that the problems were fixed for a while, then back to fluctuating hash rates. Blades are ~46 degrees. Reboot, machine ran fine for hours until I changed pools, same issue down to 100gh/s. Ugh.

Being a genius I decided I'd fix it for good, so I got out my hammer and started hitting it. That didn't help. So, I decided I'd do what I did when I had a similar fluctuation... download latest firmware and flash it. Which I did, after double triple checking the right version and machine etc etc. It is the same that is loaded on my other two machines which run just fine.

NOW! She's running like she should. BUT! And this is so odd... likely obvious something I'm missing...

Miner Status
Chain #1  ASIC 30 // Freq 350M // Temp 47 // 00000000000
Chain #2  ASIC 30 // Freq 350M // Temp 46 // 00000000000
Chain #3  ASIC 30 // Freq 350M // Temp 0 //  ----------------
Chain #4  ASIC 30 // Freq 350M // Temp 0 //  ----------------

Why is this odd? All the other S5's, updated with same firmware, stop after 2 chains. It is like the firmware is for a machine with 4 blades? Why the extra columns?

On the 4-chain machine - Load Average   2.64, 2.49, 2.48
On the 2-chain machines - Load Average   1.08, 1.20, 1.20

Paperclip reset time... right? Hit the reset in front with a clip, feel it click, hold it 5+ to 10 seconds, miner keeps on mining. Will not accept a paperclip hardcore reset. Changing pools seems to cause issues.

Reward is real and based on speed / creativity / complexity etc. If I'm simply an idiot sorry I can't pay too much. If you can diagnose and outline a fix? Take care of you.

Go!

thanks all
6  Bitcoin / Pools / Power over the pools - what I can do... on: March 10, 2015, 05:20:07 AM
If a pool is performing well, or experiencing some luck, I can immediately turn that around by pointing a miner to it. So if you have strong competition and will slip me a few coins on the side, I will go destroy their world.

Look what I did to AntPool

7  Bitcoin / Hardware / Need S5 Help! Please! on: March 07, 2015, 01:51:49 AM
Hey Gang,

Leased my miners. Went back to change them to my pool and hit save to apply. Everything went as normal, but when I check Miner Status page it has zero data. The page structure and logo etc are there, but it has no values, as if miner was off.

What do? Please help.

9  Bitcoin / Mining support / Let's Overclock My S5's Today! on: February 27, 2015, 06:45:11 PM
Have a pair of S5's running on Corsair 750's. Today the miners are getting upgraded...

Adding SP120 Corsair Fans
Have a setup now that allows for plenty of cool/cold air
Adding evga 1300G2 Supernova

My temps at stock are routinely under 50 degrees. Once I get them setup and on the new power... what settings?

thanks!

12  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTB] Corsair CX Series - 8 pin to 2x (6+2) PCI-E Cable HELP! on: February 14, 2015, 10:47:49 AM
Hey All!

Looking for some of the OEM pieces (or better) for my CX750M's. These will be powering C5's so I need 4x PCI-E, two per hashing board. Somehow I've managed to misplace / send as bonus a few of these, thought I had more.

Would like to pickup 2 or 3 of them. They are black in color and work with CX and HX series. Basically an 8 pin adapter with 2x PCI-E connectors on the other end. Looks like:

I'd like to pickup 3-4 of them, or suggestions on what is latest/greatest/best deal.

Thanks!
13  Bitcoin / Hardware / Antminer S5 Fan Mods - Little Help? on: February 12, 2015, 06:29:20 PM
Seems like a limited amount of information out there on this one. Is there a thread or two here someone might point me to?

Looks like 120mm JetFlo fan is one way to go. Using Corsair CX750M's would like a simple swap, if I need splitters to power then via molex can do. Saw a video (no info given), just a once over of the setup with a db meter a few feet away. Looks like a swap of the JetFlo fan for the stock fan, then they added a shrouded fan out back.

Another item/solution I'm hoping to find... a "cold air intake" for the miners. I've got all the cold air you could want by cracking a window. Somebody have a slick window stop with a small intake hose and fan? Kind of stretching this one, but you never know.

thanks
