Antminer S9 (in hosting) working stably on two boards hashing at 7.9-8.0 Th/s. Price $750 $820 $995 (at current btc price) shipped UPS ground or FEDEX ground to US.
The third original board will be included for better aerodynamics, but it is not hashing with PCIE jacks for this board in a poor shape.
Currently, this S9 is being powered by EVGA 1300, which could be included for extra. Please indicate your bid for EVGA (with enough cables to power this S9) if you want it, but it is an independent item. This EVGA might not have a complete cable set.

For sale: Three MSI VEGA 56 8gb cards, which were bought in November 2017, manufactured in 1709 and 1708. Cards work fine, no problems.
I am asking $710 $750 $770/card in ETH or BTC, plus shipping (I prefer to ship to US). Shipping to Canada is possible, but you pay for it.
For all three cards-$2100 $2265 shipped to US. I you want them, I will include three S9 $100 coupons if you get all cards. If you want only one card, than ONLY the first two deals get the coupon (one per card). I sold a few items here, never was a problem. If you want escrow, fine, but you pay for it (use philipma1957, for example). Cards are already discounted compared with ebay and newegg ($850-999) and shipping (to US) is free, so not much negotiating room if any.
My preference is to sell all three to one buyer, if possible. Post (bids) or PM. Thanks.

TL;DR Bitcoin is destined via it's special virtues to redeem and remake the financial (at least) foundation of the world. It is bitcoin's irresistible destiny to accomplish this essential duty. I compare bitcoin's progress with the historical manifest destiny of american pioneers, suggesting that bitcoin's triumph is historically inevitable, despite usual ups and downs. How much time it takes is unclear, but it will succeed. This informs the direction of speculation in bitcoin, suggesting that long term accumulation is the only play available (for patient hands) and further suggesting that instead of thinking how much in fiat currencies you can sell it for, think about what % of bitcoin you own and try to increase it. Background: In the 19th century, manifest destiny was a widely held belief in the United States that its settlers were destined to expand across North America. There are three basic themes to manifest destiny: The special virtues of the American people and their institutions The mission of the United States to redeem and remake the west in the image of agrarian America An irresistible destiny to accomplish this essential duty https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manifest_destiny

The Blue Whale: above 100K BTC Whale: 10K-100K BTC Orca: 1K-10K BTC Dolphin (The common dolphin): 100-999 BTC Popoto (The smallest dolphin): 10-100 BTC Tuna 1-10 BTC Herring 0.1-1 BTC Minnow 1sat-0.1 btc
Post other suggestions, but have to be consistent (with whale).
It looks like there are only a total of 20-40K or so of Blue whales, whales, orcas and dolphins combined. A very small group indeed.

hey, posted a tx on Nov 5 with standard fee at the time of 6 sat/byte. Again, standard, not custom, no warning whatsoever. blockchain.info resubmitted the tx on nov 7 by themselves (don't know why). the result (because of their re-submission) was that it is now listed at just below 5 sat/byte. Exactly two weeks had passed without confirmation.
I tried to contact blockchain.info and all i got (automated response) was that it all depends on the blockchain, they cannot do anything about it.
what is the best course of action here?

Had anyone had a situation where one fan shows 30600 rpm? I have one S9 that does it, consequently second fan under-spins at 2280 rpm; PCBs are a bit hot and miner periodically loses a board (randomly). The board comes back upon soft or hard restart, but fan speed keeps at 30600.
Q: 1. did it happen to you? 2. if it did, can anything help the situation?
I am reluctant to sent this S9 for repair because apart from showing high fan speed, miner works OK, until it drops a board, that is. However, since restart brings it back, it is not that big of a deal. please, let me know.

Not sure if i even want to sell, but give offers, please. An absolute minimal offer is $750 [$650(card plus tax that I paid)+shipping (priority mail to US only, $15)+$85 (for several hours of my time staying in line)]. If you absolutely want it, post offers here (preferable) or message (less preferable). No haggling below the indicated price. All warranty Q-to manufacturer, card is NIB, unopened, I have no idea if it works, hence no apparent need for escrow.
EDIT: returned the card, Microcenter price is now $699+tax=$756

The card went south on me today, it does not 'light up' and/or hash, not sending anything to the monitor either. Physically card looks intact, no burns. Fans OK, backplate too. Selling to those who know how to repair/refurb these. My loss is your potential reward. Send message or post your best price including shipping (preferably eth, but btc OK too). Shipping should be around $12-14 to continental US only.

I found amdmeminfo util, but it has not been updated since 2014, don't know why. Will it/Does it work on RX 470, 480? I wouldn't want to run cards on Win to just find out which memory vendor it is. thanks

I had a thought...
We have developers, which are, in my opinion, the equivalent of the legislative branch. We have miners & nodes, which could be compared to the executive branch in bitcoin's design. Yet, we have nothing like a judicial branch. Someone may think that we don't need a third seat of power, but we obviously do. In general, a tripolar system would appear much more stable than current rope-a-dope situation between developers and miners.
I propose, if not a judicial branch, but at least something like a Supreme Court for bitcoin. The number of people on such Court is debatable, maybe just three or five, no need for nine. All must have impeccable credentials as impartial defenders of decentralized bitcoin cause.
Candidates: Andreas Antonopoulos (sure), Nick Szabo (sure), probably Bram Cohen, maybe Don Tapscott (not sure), Satoshi would be nice to have, but he/she is unavailable. I am sure i did not think of someone, but if this idea takes hold, we can think of many possible candidates.

ETF: looks like it is getting closer as Winkies just filed an amendment changing the number of shares for the initial trade from 100k to 500k.
With that, and in the interest of liquidity while trading bitcoin proper, maybe we should at least consider some units other than btc. Otherwise, we might have too many zeroes before numbers for small purchase quite soon.
I know about bits (10-6) and mbtc (10-3), but what about something similar to bitcent (10-2), which would be an equivalent to 1 COIN ETF share:
My name candidates (for 10-2 bitcoin):
bitt (bitcoincent) bitty (same meaning, but softer) betf (bitcoin etf unit) #not very conducive to pronunciation, I know
EDIT (maybe better): 1 btc=1 bitcoin=current unit 1 bts=1 bitcoin [etf] share=10-2 btc=bitshare (this term was coined by @york780 below)
Any ideas? Overall, I think that trading in 10-2='etf' units might be helpful for newbs and those who like buying things by the 100s (similar to stocks).

I'll give it a shot: Most people post conservative numbers of 1200-1500...meh. I'll try to tackle this here. In 2013 we started at $13 with maximum at $1165 (Bitstamp, and I will ignore the $1242 on MtGox because it was illiquid) 1165/13=89.615X We started 2017 at $968.32 (index price), therefore I suggest that 89.615X968.32=$86775 is our upper bound (admittedly, a very unlikely one). What is a more realistic, yet probably maximum price? I suggest to look at jl2012 exponential graph (BETI) thread. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=470453.0To break local maximum value with respect to the exponential graph few days ago was $19510 and this will be rising as we progress in a 2017, but not sure what would be the number by the end of the year. I would guesstimate, at least $25000-26000 (by Dec 31, 2017) Therefore, if bitcoin matches what it did before either by performing super-exponentially sometime this year or matching yearly maximum appreciation, the upper boundary would be 25-87K/bitcoin. That said, I believe that several parameters have to be activated almost simultaneously: 1. ETF has to be approved. 30% chance, in my opinion. 2. Significant indication of a currency crisis somewhere. Probability unknown, maybe 10%. So 1+2 together =3% chance 3. Some central bank decides to accumulate bitcoin and news of this leaks. Maybe 2% probability, difficult to estimate. This parameter alone would be sufficient. So, there is a nonzero (single digits) chance of 25-87K/bitcoin in 12-18 mo. It would be interesting to watch.

...to find out if humans can cooperate and reach consensus? TIC we are failing... In retrospect, what would you expect? 95% consensus on anything important? When did it happen before on something this complex? It would be curious to see what happens later on this year.

Two options for sale (to US only), payment with bitcoin or eth: 1. Six MSI RX 470 Gaming OC 4gb graphic cards (GPUs), 3-5 mo old, all work fine. $150/card plus actual shipping or you print label, so $900 total plus shipping for all six. I prefer to sell all cards to one buyer as it would save on shipping. I have original boxes for all cards. 2. Option #1 plus the rest of the rig for $480 plus shipping: H97 anniversary mobo (1X16X PCIE slot, 5X1X PCIe slots), supporting 6 GPUs Crucial 275 Gb SSD (Ubuntu Linux 16.04 with drivers is loaded, both ETH mining and ZEC mining programs installed and fully functional) 8gb Ballistix RAM G3258 Pentium CPU 5X 1Xto16X PCIe USB powered risers EVGA 1300 G2 PSU with all cables ($340 plus shipping for the rig (no cards) sans PSU if you don't need it). I will not sell the rest of the rig without selling cards Total $1380 for everything plus actual shipping ($1240 plus shipping without PSU).Prices are already discounted and are basically non-negotiable. You either want it or you don't. I don't have to sell anything as everything is working fine. Replies that I will deem not relevant to MY sale will be deleted.
