The Bitcoin Foundation and community as a whole needs to step up to educate regulators to STOP using the derogatory term "virtual currency" as EU banking authority described it.

mining difficulty and network speed increased ≥20 fold since December and keeps growing at the current growth rate of ~20% every 10-11 days.

....but mining efficiency increased only 2-3-fold (in GH/w), jeopardizing mining revenue and, as such, future network growth or at the least, network decentralization.

BTC price, meanwhile, is at the same levels as early November (early bubble).

There is no cause-effect relationship here. Correlation does not imply causation. You can find a week where NY stock exchange opens at the sunrise, but these two events are not related to each other.
Was there a Willy program? Probably, yes, as there are a multitude of other programs in the market. Large companies cannot buy or sell stock en masse without some programming. If they hit the bid for 1 mil shares all at once, it would be idiotic, so they sell some, buy a little less, sell again, etc.

As came up in a previous poll discussion, some people seem to coalesce around the idea to define the proposed ISO unit (XBT) as 0.000001 BTC.
How to call the unit in slang is not relevant for this poll, but possible variants would include bit, X-bit (like in X-ray), ubt, xib/xi, microbit, etc.
Voting Yes would mean that you approve changing of XBT definition from=1BTC to equaling 0.000001 BTC.

A unit of 10-6 BTC is a great idea, but bit is already WIDELY used to measure information.

I propose to call 0.000001 BTC (1/1000000 BTC=10-6 BTC=µBTC) a uni, which is short of Unit, pronounced (you-ni).
Advantages-not used; Uni is similar to unit and sounds vaguely similar, but different, to/from both yen (Japanese) and yuan (Chinese).

This will affect the trend for sure. They will be trading 0.001BTC back and forth, front-running everybody else.
Bitcoin exchanges should NEVER allow high frequency traders to enter and in case you wonder how they could do that-it is simple-not allow HFT servers located at exchange and also categorically not allow RAPID (microsec) cancel orders: make a rule that there has to be 100 microsec between order and cancellaton and you will effectively not allow HFT.

From insolvency statement it is clear that Second Market CEO did not sign the doc, so in my opinion there will be a battle for bitcoin future between technocrats and financial types.

In the youtube video from DLD Both Barry and Jeremy referred to the 10-100 fold minimal appreciation of bitcoin in order to do large scale transactions and sales.
Mister public cannot spend 10k-100K to get just one unit of account, but it will be OK in satoshis (at US $100K/BTC for each thou you will get million satoshis or thou satoshis for a buck).
