1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Strange XRP Youtube promotion, scam?? Be alert. on: March 27, 2025, 03:14:27 PM

Not sure if this has been posted here, I didn't find anything. There is a video online on youtube, from the official Ripple account (I guess) promising a "too good to be true scenario". The promise is to double everything you send them. SOunds like the classic scam, right?

Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BQJatckKTeQ

Even binance wrote an article about it: https://www.binance.com/en/square/post/22078967602058

Obviously any other "event" of this kind was always a scam and the person/channel promoting it always got hacked. This video is running for a while already though, so I am not sure what to think about it.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Swap a coin/token on worldchain questions on: February 08, 2025, 07:23:16 PM

Short question. I have had some WLD in my worldcoin wallet ( yeah, I know ) which I converted into USDCe, a quite small amount to be fair. They thing is, to finally being able to withdraw this nonsense to anywhere (an exchange) the transfer has to be done on their own chain, which is worldchain. Any other chain is "coming soon" for ages, probably never gonna happen.
No instant swap sites that I found offer this chain so I have a dilemma.

I know uniswap offers it but to be honest, I have no clue how it works with this "connect your wallet" and so on. I mean, even if I connected a wallet, the USDCe would still be sent from my worldcoin wallet, there is no other way.

Any idea what I can do? I would appreciate any helpful reply!! Thanks.
3  Economy / Gambling discussion / Sports "trap of the day" , or is it? on: January 27, 2025, 06:53:25 AM

Making a new thread for sports bettors to post their trap of day games. What's a trap game you ask? A game where the odds literally make 0 sense and the odds are too good to be true.

Let's start off with this one from the Korean woman's basketball league today.

https://www.flashscore.com/match/nojsdJVH/#/match-summary
Hana Bank ( 5 - 16 ) vs Woori MON ( 15 -7 )

Woori is currently only a 2.5 points favorite with money line odds of 1.62. Hana lost the last 5 games while Woori won 5 of the last 6. Also, head to head Woori won the last 18 (!!) games against Hana Bank.
These 2 teams played against each other 12 days ago, also a home game for Hana Bank. The odds for Woori to win that one have been 1.25, compared to the 1.62 they have today that's HUGE.

So how on earth do we have these odds in here?? Injury wise there is no information to be found online by the way.

4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Atomic wallet sometimes display absurd amounts, this time TON on: November 03, 2024, 07:09:35 PM

So I just logged into my atomic wallet on desktop and saw for several seconds an absurd amount of TON coins in my wallet.

Obviously this is total nonsense, yet alone because I never used TON in my life. I also checked the wallet address at tonscan and of course it's empty like a mf  Grin .
So I wonder, how is it even possible so see such a wrong display? Sometimes it also shows old coins (usdt, ltc or whatever) that have been sent out ages ago, this I might still understand since they are in my history. But since I never used ton for anything I wonder how that's possible.  Huh

7  Economy / Lending / (closed, bought some p2p) Looking for a loan for 500usdt , 1 month, 10% on: August 23, 2024, 08:16:14 AM
Normally I ask Shasan for this but since I am currently not in a signature campaign he didn't want to fill the loan, which is ok I guess. Just repaid him a higher amount this week fyi ( -> feedback , edit: which he for whatever reason just deleted) . https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5030169.msg64432452#msg64432452
For that reason I will ask here if somebody wants to fill this:

Loan Amount: 500 USDT
Loan Purpose: Personal
Loan Repay Amount: 550 USDT
Loan Repay Date: September 23rd or most likely earlier
Type of Collateral: None
USDT adress (trc-20) :

Would prefer usdt since I want to avoid possible price up and downs. Can also take on Binance chain (different address obviously) of course.
8  Economy / Digital goods / Looking for phone number to receive 1 single sms (discord veri) on: August 13, 2024, 04:33:43 AM

Would be cool to find somebody, preferably for like 1usdt (BSC) .
Don't know how much that should be worth but it really is just for 1 sms from discord.  Grin

Cheers
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / ACT coin (BSC) suddenly appearing in my wallet on: July 31, 2024, 10:40:38 PM

Yesterday I checked my wallet and saw that some random coin/token has been sent to my usdt address.
I can't really find info about the coin and have no clue why it was sent to me, it's very strange.

Did somebody else get this and has any more info?

11  Local / Anfänger und Hilfe / Exchanges von denen WISE Zahlungen annimmt on: March 22, 2024, 10:45:16 AM

Hallo Leute.

12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Need advise.Doge transaction has no hash, money went no where, can't send again. on: March 13, 2024, 12:57:20 PM
Guys I need your help.

Over 1 hour ago I made a doge transaction at trust wallet.
After it took a while to confirm I clicked  the hash link in the trust wallet and it basically leads to an empty transaction: https://blockchair.com/dogecoin/transaction/9eee2ecaedb8e154ae273325af10eb7094df1af1abfe0947f0ae2419621a66cc
Also when you enter the hash at blockchair it says the transaction doesn't exist.

I also can't make a new transaction with the money which is still shown in the trustwallet app because when I try it says there is a pending transaction.

When I check my address it says the doge is still on it , 440 Doge to be exact. Thought if I import the wallet somewhere else  will work but it shows 0 balance on doge at the new wallet because the money is in this empty transaction that has a non working hash.

This is the wallet: https://blockchair.com/dogecoin/address/DQ1az1kTVrJXgsatXKKsy9dfbcNhiVKPyZ

Would be nice if anybody has an idea what to do here.

Tongue
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Make bitcoin "untouchable" for a while on: November 15, 2023, 01:13:26 AM
I have a little question.

For some altcoin we have staking, which makes them basically untouchable over a set period of time gaining some % as a reward for doing that.
Well I understand that bitcoin does not have any staking.

So what can I do, if I for example have some btc and I want to make it inaccessible for anybody (even me) for let's say 1 month or whatever period of time. Basically "staking" without the reward.

I read something about a time delayed transaction or whatever, so the recipient can use the btc after a set period of time. But I didn't really understand it and maybe that's still not what I am looking for.

16  Economy / Gambling discussion / 24/25 European basketball discussion: Euroleague/BBL/ACB/LegaA/LNB/TBL.. on: September 11, 2023, 09:48:56 AM
With the basketball world cup coming to an end I think it's time to make a new general thread for the new upcoming European basketball season.

I hope we can stay away from NBA talk in this thread and focus on Europe only.

This should cover, but not reduce to, Euroleague, Eurocup and domestic leagues like Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Israel, Turkey, Lithuania and more.
A lot of recent NBA talent went to Europe this summer so we can all be exited for the upcoming season.

What's you pick for the Euroleague? Monaco looks strong after adding Kemba Walker. Their back court with him and Mike James is scary.

17  Local / Deutsch (German) / Physischer Krypto-Pfandleihhaus Laden, wäre es machbar? on: August 20, 2023, 10:26:31 AM
Wilde Idee.

Also zB München, Berlin, FFM oder Hamburg.

18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Great new youtube documentary about btctalk member Jimmy Zhong (mb300sd) on: August 05, 2023, 09:59:35 AM
I didn't know this story about an ex bitcointalk member mb300sd, I guess plenty or at least some of you do.
Thats him -> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=36986

But for those who don't I can only advise you to watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pxvd1YOMGxU . This video is just a month old and shows the impressive story of Jimmy Zhong, an early bitcoin adapter that made billions and everything got taken from him in court. Also he stole a lot of coins from silk road  Grin .

It's also a great video about bitcoin in general, as well as security while mixing and so on. Everybody that uses or is interested in bitcoin it's an interesting watch I think.

19  Economy / Currency exchange / Looking to buy/sell crypto for cash in Kyoto/Osaka on: July 28, 2023, 07:15:16 AM
I know it's a long shot but maybe I get lucky.
Are there any people selling and buying btc or other crypto in person in Kyoto or Osaka? Or just travel in Japan and plan to visit this area?

Price is flexible, but always should be fair for both parties.

Anyway, if there is anybody I would be happy to get a message.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Buying altcoins in Crypto shops/exchanges in Hong Kong on: May 26, 2023, 01:16:59 PM

I am currently in Hong Kong and saw A LOT of shops that offer a big variety of altcoins as well as bitcoin of course.

Does anybody have any experience with using these exchanges to buy bitcoin?
I found some information but not too much.

Wonder which one has the best rates and if they accept other currency other than HK$. I want to buy with USD preferably but of course I could also just exchange it before.

What I also want to know if they require KYC.

Before somebody says, just go to all the shops and check it yourself.  Wink I will, if I have to. But since my time here is limited I thought it's easier to ask here, maybe we have some member from HK.
