1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / The decentralisation that Bitcoin offers is all we need on: June 29, 2025, 06:38:59 AM
Buying bitcoin through a dex and using Bitcoin as a decentralised digital currency as it is should be enough for everybody that wants some privacy, but as the smarter ass that you are you want something that can't be traced, the question is why?

Decentralised system enhance privacy by distribution of data and empowering the users control or even preventing unauthorised surveillance like the definition said, if you want more you are likely a criminal.

We are many on this forum and I believe that only very few people on here have a good reason why they want their transaction hidden completely but others are bad people pretending to be good until proven or caught red handed.

I can boldy call such people selfish too because, you care about yourself only and not others in the world, for your own sake you want transactions to be hidden by using means like Mixers and Co.

Let's pretend once more that you have good intent, how about drug dealers? How about smugglers? How about human traffickers? Your way is how they get away with crimes too, and you think your good intent matters?

If you are left with two options to either safe people's life like around the globe by giving up on privacy via untracable transactions or keep using the likes of mixers like you don't care which will you go for?

Until one day your sisters and brothers becomes a victim of these evil people, caring only about what you will get out of something is why the world get so evil, people don't think about the impact it will have on others, until they become victims themselves.

I would rather see every means of hiding transactions 100% vanished than battling with human traffickers in the country, if it's not happening in your country it's a huge problem in mine, Bitcoin decentralisation is enough.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / When your kid talk about Bitcoin don't assume it's all good on: June 28, 2025, 08:13:54 AM
It's a good thing if your kids decide to venture into BTC and blockchain, but as a parent always make sure you monitor them just to be sure that they are doing what they claimed to be doing online.

Kids nowadays are more into technology for sure but we all know how they can be exposed to the wrong things too, I talked to one yesterday because his father asked me to, his father told me that he knows about web3 very well and he is making money off it, the suspicion came later when his father called and told me that his son lost some BTC on Bybit exchange.

I called for the son and he came, his father isn't there with us and he changed the topic, he claimed that after he sent the BTC to his friends Bybit account, the exchange seized the BTC.

To cut this short, the BTC was stolen, this boy doesn't even know anything about JAVA Script, front end or even how to build a website, he was feeding his father wrong information.

I grabbed his iPhone and noticed that he has been defrauding people online through onlyfans stolen identities, he tried to hide it at first, thinking I don't know much about technology like his old man, later he asked me not to expose him to his father.

This boy and his friend choose to rob people online and he is only 18 years old, he knows BTC by fraud but they are foolish enough not to know that BTC is traceable, since Bybit is on this case already I am expecting an arrest on his friend or even him later, unless Bybit choose not to push this further, maybe because the BTC is just $2000

I wish I couldn't but his father his my uncle, we are related, how will the son even change? This was what came to my mind, I have a son too and I don't want him to be on this same path, I talked to him and I use my story about I ended up with Bitcoin online and also how my father was there to support me before he passed away  and I later told his father not to scold him for lying to him, instead he should start advising him the right way.

What broke my heart was how sad his father was when I told him, he said he trusted the son the most.
3  Economy / Gambling discussion / Web3 games catching up with gambling and entertainment on: June 23, 2025, 04:50:36 AM
Anyone like me on here? I am a big fan of playing games on PC and console and now that web3 games are here it's already taking me away from gambling, I've spent countless hours on Illuvium and gotten my favourite pokemon style monsters and I am able to sold few on the open market.

Now I earn money playing web3 games, my point is it's taking my attention away from casino games, am I the only one on here who loves playing web3 games on their PC? Or many don't just know about it yet?

Now I engage in slots once or twice a week, the main reason why I like slot is because it reminds me of the old style arcade games I love playing in 1995, simple and easy, it brings back my childhood memories.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Easier to spend as money only when nothing is happening on: June 22, 2025, 04:36:08 PM
Many people still believe that Bitcoin can replace Fiat but I don't see it happening, it's not because of banks or this centralised world either.

Here is a very good reason why I think this way.

I am a business owner, running a fashion company, I've been accepting Bitcoin payment since 2022-2023 and, the fact is.....

The idea worked, for a while, my friends that knows about crypto and use crypto do paid me in Bitcoin several times when it's time to receive payment for my service, but at the time the value of Bitcoin was small, around 16000.

Today they don't want to pay me in Bitcoin anymore, when I asked why they said no, and one day I challenged one of them (customers) she said she would rather not spend her Bitcoin right now.

The value makes more sense to people than spending Bitcoin as money, from 16000 to 100,000 plus and counting, I am now stranded with my postal about Bitcoin is accepted here, but my main lesson I learnt here is that...

It's easier to spend Bitcoin as money when the value is low, or maybe in a bitcoin bear market than when the price is high, to them it's very inconvenient to do.

I don't let this bother me, because true be told, I've spend BTC online to pay bills and buy things before, but since the value start surging I could spend my BTC again, I was in their shoe and I felt it too.

Do you also accept BTC payment? What's the experience between a bear BTC market and a bull BTC market?
5  Bitcoin / Mining / Stay away on: June 15, 2025, 08:17:04 AM
I could decide to call myself a better villain by coming up with this plan, hear me out.

Those people around the world that are into illegal mining, stealing power from the grid are not so smart, because they have a location, hide the wires underground so that they won't easily be traced. But one thing is sure about them, they have a location.

Even if someone give them a tip that the cop is unto them it will take time for them to start unplugging the miners one by one and move them out of the located mining site.

How about a mobile way? Maybe a car, bus or a truck where you can set the miners inside and tap the electricity and have someone to always be on the look out so that you can just drive away when something is off? Great plan isn't it?

This is what these fellas in Russia must have think deeply about, they set up 95 miners at the back of a truck to always be on mobile to avoid getting caught, they even have a small transformer on the truck too.

Now the truck is been seized and the two guys ran away, the question now is what is their gain so far? Buying 95 Asic miners isn't cheap, that's a lot of money, yes they escaped now and may be caught later, risking getting imprisoned and they lost every penny spent on mining already.

News source: https://cointelegraph.com/news/russia-truck-crypto-mine-buryatia-power-theft

Stay away from illegal mining operations, it doesn't pay, illegal connections causes disruption on power grid and it's noticeable, it will always be traced back to you, and you will lose everything, your peace of mind included even if you manage to get away.
6  Economy / Economics / Injustice served as justice? on: May 28, 2025, 08:40:39 AM
Some few weeks have past since some ponzi scheme runners scammed a lot of my country people, the money is so much that the government had to intervene, and the latest we had today was that some of the amount have been recovered.

Victims lost funds in USDT and BTC even Tron, but It has gotten to a point where I am starting to doubt my own law abiding country (if so). The name of these scam company is Cbex and I am sure few people on here knjw about it.

Here is where I am confused.

1. They claimed that the scam runners are been tracked down to Cambodia and it will be extremely hard from this point to get the rest of the money back.

My question IS, does this mean that any criminal that entered Cambodia can't be arrested?

2. They also said that the fund recovered can't be paid back in USDT probably because of the inflation of the fiat currency in the country? But why?

I asked why because these people paid in USDT in the first place, they must have exchange their Fiat to USDT, since the funds are recovered like they claimed they should settle them back with what was recovered.

I don't think this is fair justice served, BTC should be paid back in BTC likewise USDT, do you think otherwise? Drop your reason.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Blackrock and Microstrategy amongst others are not Heroes on: May 12, 2025, 10:37:40 AM
I don't mean to share this with the hope of scaring people especially the beginners amongst us, after talking to few of them beginners recently I find out that they don't even know this facts.

Microstrategy, Big companies around the world especially in the US that are investing heavily in Bitcoin have experts working for them.

1. These experts knows the market, they understand Bitcoin movement and Bitcoin cycle, they know when to buy big amount to make an impact in Bitcoin present price action, also when to take profits slowly.

2. These big investors are not buying just so that Bitcoin price can keep surging, they are not buying so that the people in the world like you and I can become millionaires, they are here to make gains as well.

If you don't know, now you know, the newbies i engaged words with don't have a clue that this is it, they respond as if Microstrategy and Blackrock are helping the people, or let's say the world, it made the some beginners to relax.

How did we got here in the first place? Well the discussion started with profit taking from Bitcoin.  You get it? They are sitting on their hands thinking that Microstrategy and others will never stop buying and buying every time, as if theses companies are not here to take advantage too.

It's all business, a near perfect business that's making them look like heroes.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / When your whole life is built around Bitcoin on: April 04, 2025, 06:27:37 AM
What will you do if your whole life is built around Bitcoin and crypto only? And assuming you are from a country where the system isn't that great and you managed to grow with the help of Bitcoin and after few years of trying to bring a child into the world your prayers is finally answered. What do you think you could pass unto your child? From Bitcoin side.

Congrats to me I now have a month and one week old baby, but this thought can't seem to leave my mind, That thought of what can I pass unto my child as a Bitcoin trader and investor?

Thinking about.....

I have free electricity via solar power with enough juice wasting everyday, maybe I should start mining some BTC in my sons name for his future.

Maybe I should just get a wallet in his name and start buying small piece on BTC for him every month.

Forget about me for a moment and put yourself in my shoe, I am sure there are family men and women on here, what will you plan to do if you are in my shoes right now?
9  Bitcoin / Mining / Anyone have a way around this problem? on: April 03, 2025, 05:15:26 AM
Is there a solution surrounding the remover of Vnish firmware on Asic miners from Altairtech?

This firmware is somehow permanent on Altairtech Asic miners and they take 2.5% from mining, I have tried to look for solutions online and I got nothing.

I have heard about wireshark tool but miner will stop working until the Devfee is active again, what is the solution? Anyone faced this issue before?

I am also thinking about changing controller? I don't just know if this will work?
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Satoshis will be the biggest topics in the future on: April 02, 2025, 11:13:13 AM
A day is coming where people will be say...

Can you believe it? I have 10,000 Satoshis can you believe that? Now I am a millionaire, And you will answer oh wow, I am glad you listened when I said we should buy and hold some 7 - 8 years ago.

Do you think such day is coming? I strongly believe so...

In 2018, there was rumour about Black rock investing in Bitcoin, it was like a dream and yet it faded, why? Because it is not the right time, they have been preparing for a very long time.

It was like how Artificial intelligence finds it way into crypto space in 2018/2019 then, and I was one of those few that said it was too early, all A.I projects at the time failed woofuly, today it worked out.

Lesson to learn from this? When technology is involved, what doesn't seem like will work today will work in the future, because the future will always be about technologies getting better.

Every satoshis will worth a lot in the future, with the way things are going? Very hard to believe for many but it will get to that point.
11  Bitcoin / Mining / Any Bitdeer Product users on here on: March 24, 2025, 11:07:20 AM
Guys is there anyone on this forum that's familiar with Bitdeer Asic miners? I want to know how durable they are? The reason why I want to know is because I like their new Asic miner Sealminer A2 Pro... I am not sure if anyone is using products from this company, just trying hard to avoid gimmick products.

Let's say there isn't one, which Asic miner is close? Power consumption is 3790W and hashrate us 255TH/s, the price for this Asic miner is $4040 minus the shipping fee.

What do you think?
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / The more I think about this the more I want to ask on: March 17, 2025, 06:09:45 PM
This question might seem like one that a beginner would ask. In fact, someone recently posed a similar question to me, and I’ve been thinking about it ever since.

A friend of my younger sibling wants to invest in Bitcoin, and he asked me about the best wallet option. I advised him to consider an open-source hardware wallet, since that's what I use as well.

He then asked if he could store 1 BTC in the wallet, to which I responded, "Why not?" His next question caught me off guard: "What about the saying, 'Don't put all your eggs in one basket'?"

I took a moment to think, but deep down I felt confident in my hardware wallet's security compared to hot wallets. However, he argued that it's best to split the Bitcoin into two parts and store them in two different hardware wallets.

What are your thoughts on this? Personally, I keep all my BTC in a single hardware wallet. I’d like to know, from the Bitcointalk community: do you think the saying "don’t put all your eggs in one basket" also applies to those using a single hardware wallet?
13  Other / Beginners & Help / Damages can still be done on: March 14, 2025, 06:44:35 AM
You have no business switching DNS on your phone for any reasons when that your phone contains sensitive data and your crypto wallet, a friend called me to attention yesterday about how his phone was acting weird.

At first I thought it was the internet settings but things went back to normal when I turned off the DNS server, it kept redirecting the phone browser to fake websites and even a fake metamask website, the DNS server app was downloaded through Play Store.

Just because DNS servers don’t store input data doesn’t mean you are safe when using them. While they cannot steal your recovery seeds or private keys, there are rogue DNS servers out there.

Be cautious and stick with well-known DNS servers; some lesser-known ones may not be safe. They can operate in what is called "Rogue Mode," which may redirect you to malicious websites.

Visiting these harmful sites can allow attackers to intercept your data and potentially compromise your PC or Smartphones. To protect your DNS queries, ensure they are encrypted, or simply use reputable DNS servers.
14  Other / Beginners & Help / What is holding you back in crypto apace? on: March 12, 2025, 05:03:24 PM
How long have you been in the crypto space—4 years? 6 years?

Could you share with us why you haven't become wealthy through crypto yet? What steps do you plan to take to address the issues or delays you've encountered?

15  Other / Beginners & Help / Newbies pls avoid purchasing forum accounts on: March 06, 2025, 01:57:16 PM
If you are just starting up on this forum I will like to advice you about this forum's reputation.

Create your forum account yourself, use strong password or even 2FA security, don't ever think about purchasing forum account from anyone, I repeat, from anyone either they are legendary member or not.

It is only a matter of time before you find out that they stole or back the account themselves and trying to make money by selling to you, also if anything happen in the future based on that sold account you can't claim to be the original owner.

The truth is your way of writing will never match the original owner, trust me, there is always footprints left behind, instead start from scratch and build your reputation up, and you will get there someday.
16  Other / Meta / Now isn't a bad timing, just a opinion though on: January 27, 2025, 08:29:40 PM
I hope this doesn't get me in trouble, I am just curious about this is all, now that Trump is taking over as the first crypto president today and the SEC chairman is out of the picture don't you think allowing mixers back on the forum is not a bad idea now?

Before you scold me for bringing this up, a popular privacy coin was scrutiny-free some days back making it surge in value, now privacy projects can finally breath free.

I hope to get a feed back on this.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Is the end for altcoin season on: January 20, 2025, 06:12:32 AM
So I woke up this morning only to see that the First Lady of the United States launched her own meme coin as well.

 Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

It's like they said, holy shit, this scam works???

Melania: We can do it again?

Hahaha, can't help but start laughing out loud, what do you think will happen from here on? Is this the end for crypto alt season or this is the beginning? What do you think?
18  Other / Beginners & Help / Be extremely careful now that the year is coming to an end on: September 27, 2024, 05:27:02 PM
We have three more months before we say goodbye to 2024 and both pros and beginners are gearing up for the coming uptober like many people are calling October, even if we failed to get a uptober, one thing is certain, a full blow up top is coming.

Now imagine going through all the hassle since the beginning of this year and you ended up losing everything you've worked so hard for?

Hackers are crafting and placing phishing ads online everywhere with URLs that looks nearly identical to the original.

The name of this tactic is called Dynamic Redirect Options . ..

If you don't know what dynamic redirect means, it is a powerful feature that allows the hackers and scammers to redirect their visitors to a specific page or platform and the crazy part of this menace is that the result is based on various conditions like Locations, Search terms, Languages, Device types and many more.

These scammers now have the ability using dynamic redirect tool to bypass security scanners by cloaking their malicious websites and pages with the original websites.

Protect yourself from these attacks by

1. Moving your funds into an offline open source/noncustodial wallet.
2. Find a book and write down your favourite dApps URL, I do this a lot and it has helped my for years.
3. Avoid using search engine to find your dApps.
4. Avoid clicking on random links and Ads.

Scammers are always trying to be one step ahead of us, let's be careful and always be on guard, before it was links we need to look closely to make sure that it is the right one, maybe changing of O with 0 or similar, now aliexpress.com as we know it isn't even aliexpress.com anymore.

19  Economy / Exchanges / Take your Bitcoin off Coinbase on: September 26, 2024, 11:50:59 AM
If you are asked which company or any organisation fits market manipulation the most I bet many people will say its BlackRock, including myself.

Today it seems I might not be completely right, BlackRock now requires Coin base to deposit Bitcoin directly on-chain within 12hrs of instruction after concerns were been raised that Coinbase is selling "paper BTC" to ETFs.

https://x.com/BTC_Archive/status/1838227189835108862

This is shocking, isn't it? Feels more like BlackRock wants more transparency and assurance, if BlackRock is really pushing this then they don't like the way that Coinbase have been acting.

Guys I think we should all be focused on Coinbase from now on, something could really go bad with Coinbase, if you have some BTC on this exchange it might be a good idea to move them out especially if you are not actively trading on the platform.

My advice doesn't end with Coinbase only though, stop leaving your coins on any centralised exchanges in general.
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / You can't be sitting on mines of gold and be poor, LTH suits comfortable people on: September 25, 2024, 12:22:11 PM
Let's say the truth, if I bought BTC in 2020 do you think I will still have it now? I need money and selling in 2021 won't have faded my mind.

This is what my brother from another mother told me when we have a discussion about how he missed my call on buying Bitcoin in 2020 and to say the truth I give it a thought.

The question goes out to all members on the forum, isn't it going to be hard for adopters who aren't rich to hold Bitcoin for years when they are lacking money? If you've bought 1 Bitcoin for $4000 in 2020 and it is ranging at $17k to $60k will you want to keep holding?

If you are a teacher getting paid every month and you bought 5 BTC in 2018 and today you found out that it is insanely high will you keep holding it? Compare to someone who is already rich and have almost good things they wanted in life, who do you think will find no problem holding their Bitcoin?

My final question is, all those Bitcoin whales with 50BTC or 100BTC, are they all rich even before they mine these BTC or bought these BTC? Are all whales rich? If they are not then the numbers of whales should have reduced a lot.

Any bubble chart that shows BTC whales wallets like?
