61  Economy / Gambling discussion / Gamblers understood the game on: May 22, 2023, 10:46:16 AM
How many times have you successfully invited some gamblers to online casino? What is your experience doing so? I know many will find this hard to believe but I kinda prefer bringing in gamblers than investors into crypto, why? They understood the risk already, there is no talk and talk over again, there is no dealing with someone fear and confidence..

I have successfully brought in four people into crypto gambling, and it was the easiest thing ever, they came asking if it's possible to use crypto for gambling and I said yes, but I told them that I am not ready to introduce any platform for anyone, but these guys then showed me there past gambles on a local website that only accept Fiat, that's when I got soft with them and I showed them the websites I use for gambling.

The thing is, they are small time winners and big time losers, I mean they lose more than winning, it's been two weeks and two of them tell me about their loss and gains, but they make it feel normal, to them it really is, not like the crypto investors today, always in hurry to double their money, some are even scared of investing in Bitcoin, which is the safest of them all.
62  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / The last side of Bitcoin I've failed to look into on: May 22, 2023, 06:24:19 AM
As a fan of Ethereum, I've been able to make some ETH through putting my coins to work, but I've not come across putting your Bitcoin to work before.

Is all we can do as a Bitcoin investor is to HODL?

Is there any way to HODL and make more BTC?

I know that Bitcoin is a proof of work coin, but I am only curious if there is something you can do, while planning to hold your Bitcoin for 2 years or more, is there any benefit of holding and making more Bitcoin?

Also, What are those RSK Bitcoin for? Any benefit at all?
63  Economy / Gambling discussion / Confusion about sweepstakes and gambling on: May 17, 2023, 10:29:55 AM
What do you know about sweepstakes? I heard that some online casinos are using sweepstakes law to sidestep gambling regulations, they said users aren't really betting with their money but instead they are betting seepstakes ticket, this person also said that someone need to buy social coin and get those sweepstake tickets for free.

He also said that sweepstakes is not gambling and I am confused, he made mention of Stake.US as one of those online casinos using sweepstakes, I did my own research and it's said that sweepstakes are illegal, this is why I am confused.

Maybe those in the US on this forum can answer this question diligently?

1. Is Sweepstakes illegal in the US?

2. Is Sweepstakes gambling or not?
64  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Some people started their BTC journey when things were more hopeless on: May 17, 2023, 09:32:38 AM
It's 2023, a good time to be alive in good shape and health, hope you guys are doing so well, I have been into Bitcoin investment since December of 2016 and I feel good about myself to have make it this far, I want you new beginners to know that nothing is impossible, follow your dream and do not let any nonbelievers sway you away from your dreams.

Also do not let your dreams stayed a dream, you need to bring them alive, so far I can confidently say that mine have come alive, it has been a tough fight all along..

Imagine believing in something that very limited numbers of people believed in for years, it always look like it will fail, I had the fear of giving up but my father, he was just there all along, he gave me the guts over my fear and I lived through it, until 2021 when my dreams become a reality, sadly he is no more around to witness it all, I have been fighting this war since 2016, and today I am thankful.

To all Bitcoin beginners on here, do not give up on Bitcoin.

When there is fear in the market, be bold enough to take a step, use the fear to your own advantage.

In 2013, Micheal Saylor trashed Bitcoin, saying it's days are outnumbered that it will suffer the same fate as online gambling, and today, his company Microstrategy now owns 140 thousand Bitcoins. This is 10 years later.

The funny part is, online gambling became even more successful in 2020 pandemic period. Cheesy

I don't see something like this when I was struggling to make things work through Bitcoin, you beginners now have real reasons to summon your courage and believe, it was cold and silent in 2016, the FUD on Bitcoin was so much that you can easily give up and believe Bitcoin won't work, today it's different.

Yet some beginners still doubts, when I see beginners acting weak on Bitcoin, doubting its survival, I always ask them, what about those who invested in Bitcoin years ago when everything was so cold and hopeless? What gave people like that some courage at the time? Now big companies or well-known people are now adopting Bitcoin, that's your Courage there.

You beginners have no excuses, it is safer to be in Bitcoin now than to be out of Bitcoin, just, Believe, you will lament to have 0.1BTC very soon, now is the time to believe in Bitcoin and HoDL.
65  Economy / Gambling discussion / Things that still make feel awkward with some online casinos on: May 16, 2023, 09:13:15 AM
Why are some online gambling platforms having high withdrawal fee? I know Bitcoin recently has a high transaction fee but that's no more right now, some online casinos are still asking for 5$ per transaction when it should be 1$ or less.

Not just only Bitcoin withdrawal, even coins with very low transaction fee, isn't this robbery? If you just signed up on a centralized exchange, you can pretend as if you want to withdraw, to know how much the gas fee costs, but on online casino, you will see this only after you have enough wins or funds for withdrawal.
66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / A long term investor here, thinking about adding RoLLBit Token on: May 16, 2023, 08:02:05 AM
Any long term gambling projects investor here? I have been monitoring Rollbit gambling platform token for a while now and to my surprise this token makes it to a new high recently, from 0.001$ in 2022 of October to 0.02$ today, that's impressive gains and the all time high was even 0.05$ in February of 2023, anyone buying such coins for a long term hold?

I have not gambled on Rollbit before and I want to ask if there is anything adding extra value to Rollbit token, anyone using this platform should please drop a feedback, is the token been used on the platform itself for gambling? Or it has benefits if gamblers use the token to gble instead of using Bitcoin?

Thanks
67  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / What's the fate of BTC payment now on: May 12, 2023, 12:35:08 PM
For the first time since 2022 I have officially put an end to Bitcoin payments on my business until further notice, I have gave few people some discount advantages to spread news about Bitcoin and now I am not so sure anymore, I can't even afford $5 per Bitcoin transaction, and also my customers that are surety when it comes to Bitcoin payment have all halt.

Ordinals looks like it's here to stay, I don't believe that Ordinals is like ICO because they are different. And Ordinals came in a bear market, imagine what this will do to Bitcoin in a bull market.

Is there any business owners accepting Bitcoin still? How are you doing it? Is there any way to go around this? I will appreciate, because I don't want to stop accepting Bitcoin, I have my long term plan and accepting Bitcoin as payment have helped so far.

68  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin Ordinals on the edge of getting canceled on: May 10, 2023, 06:40:38 AM
If we are asked by the Bitcoin devs to vote and choose between allowing ordinals to keep doing their thing on Bitcoin or they should cancel ordinals what will you be voting for?  Grin Grin

Today I read a news on Twitter and it looks like the Bitcoin devs want to cancel ordinals

I am not sure if this have been confirmed yet or they are still trying to make a choice but I will like to hear your thoughts, a good move or a bad one?

Also is it advisable to start receiving Bitcoin payment straight to your exchange? What disadvantages comes with doing so?
69  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / What a shame on: May 07, 2023, 08:36:00 AM
It's a shame that people are still living their lives, saying, if the government says that something is bad then it is bad, government decides what's good and what's bad for it's people.

This is what I get from a lecturer of a university in my country, I was trying to teach some students about Bitcoin and crypto, I was forced to even do it because I have been busy with my business for the past one month now, a good year this 2023 has been for my business, but these students have been calling me to come and give them some lectures about Bitcoin so I did this yesterday.

One of the students have a father that's a lecturer and after I got home this student told me that his father said that the government is the only thing that can decide if a currency is fit to be people's currency or not, if the government says no then it's a no, coming from a lecturer this is so sad.

His son have an interest in Bitcoin and now it's left for him to make a choice, I am only surprised how a lecturer can be this dense, something that should be coming from an illiterate.

I don't know if this will impact the other students too because they are all from the same school but I do hope I've not wasted my energy, I spent 2 hours talking about Bitcoin and the Blockchain.

If something is not clear or doesn't make sense, we should look for answers and not make a blind determination on it, your action can have an impact on someone's else.
The lecturer have called Bitcoin a scam and his son is lost, I still told him to do research on his own but I myself have lose interest trying to explain anything to him anymore.

UPDATE

I've read some comments and people don't get why I believe it's a shame that this is coming from a lecturer. My father was old skool too, yet he never think that paper money is not replaceable, he was so opened to new ideas and he believe that anything is possible.

As a lecturer he should believe in whatever he believes in, but stopping his son from learning about Bitcoin is wrong, as a lecturer what makes him believe that he will always be right? We were taught in school that knowledge is power and this one is stopping people from achieving knowledge.

People believe so much in their government that's why many poor people are so powerless, some countries are in a mess today because all the people believe in are those corrupt politicians leading their countries.

I read some comments and I am disappointed, many people are just buying Bitcoin but they don't understand that Bitcoin gives power to the people through decentralization, for the first time in history the government is unable to be in total control of something, that's Bitcoin.

70  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Embrace yourselves for what's coming on: May 03, 2023, 07:46:36 AM
Gas fee and transaction fees will become a big problem in a bull market, we have been enjoying cheap transaction fees this days because we are in a bear market right now and no one is talking about how beneficial this is, yet some complains about how bad the bear market is.

I do have a solution for you long term holders, and those who must make transactions in a bull market, it's no denying that bull market will come sooner or later so I advice you to invest in your gas fee today, confused? Let's get down to business.

A gas fee of 3$ on Eth network today can cost you 100$ in a bull market, crypto gurus please confirm this for me.

My strategy is to buy some Ethereum for gas purposes today, and for the sake of tomorrow, if you are a big bag holder of projects ruining on Ethereum network this is a gem strategy.

I have bought 50$ of ETH today for transaction fees only.

If you are here in 2018 you know what I am talking about, ETH is unforgiving in every bull market.
71  Economy / Gambling discussion / Questions of the day for gamblers on: May 02, 2023, 04:49:41 PM
If a online casino claims to be a decentralized platform does this mean that their games are fully decentralized too?

Do you guys know that some casinos regulates their own slots machines themselves, can you gamble with ease of mind on such casinos?

If slots games is all you are good at, are you really good at it or you are just lucky? Can you use the word 'good at it' with slots game?

What is the most convenient games you play on gambling platforms?

Is using leverage about luck or skills? Or even a rigged game?
72  Economy / Gambling discussion / Gamble Responsibly on: April 16, 2023, 01:18:19 PM
There are many disadvantages of excessive gambling that we need to talk about, and I do hope that newbies who plan to start gambling will learn something from this thread.

Gambling is not for everyone, some people tend to always get attached to whatever they do in their lives, too caring, too foodie, too protective, all these comes with disadvantages too, because I believe that too much of everything is bad.

If you are someone like this, stay away from gambling.

In the Gambling case, it's a different story entirely, if humans can get used to drugs, alcohol, and other harmful things in this category how much more trying to make money off gambling?

It is easier to start dteaming about quitting your job one day and retire in your 30s, you know what I am talking about, those weird dreams that one never dreamt about when working in a company from 8am to 5pm everyday.

Here are some Negative effects of excessive gambling.

Too much stress
Anxiety and Depression
Debt
Making wrong decisions

And if all these is active in one's life low self-esteem is sure to follow, many people messed up their lives by gambling and they don't know when they start borrowing money, or selling off properties because of gambling until they have nothing left.

Thier families are the one who got caught up in the mess, imagine a family man that has a home to take care of ending up losing everything to gambling and start living a wrecked life, I have seen a lot.

My advice for upcoming gamblers reading this thread today, always makes sure you gamble like a responsible man. Remember where you came from and think about your children and family.

Gambling must not be your path to success, you will get rekt very fast.

Do not build any dreams around gambling at all.

Gamble for fun only, using small money that you aren't needing, and think about losing that money first, to make sure that you won't be needing the money if it's gone.

Take a break.

Play for fun.

Don't chase your losses.

Stick to your Limits.

Gamble Responsibly.

73  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Take good care of yourselves on: April 09, 2023, 05:11:05 PM
We all have this dream of becoming a Satoshi millionaire, many people have the target of making their first 1 million dollars and yes that's a good thing, this is possible with crypto and Bitcoin and I am not here to discourage you.

I have seen people taking this holding of Bitcoin too far, where they are doing all they can to accumulate Bitcoin. Like limiting their spending by all means, eating less food, and doing harder jobs, I just want you to know that we are living on borrowed time.

Life isn't ours forever, take good care of yourselves, it is better to enjoy your labor than working all your life and leaving it behind for some people who aren't friendly to you while you are alive to enjoy your sweat.

I am talking from experience, since my father died, everything he worked for, all his properties was taken over by those who despise him in the family when he was alive, since we have a very weird culture in the family we the children can't do anything about it.

Bitcoin has a longer life span than our lives, we are going to leave Bitcoin behind one day unless the government finally killed Bitcoin  Wink.

Time is not on anyone's side, as you are working hard to make sure your dream becomes a reality make sure you are also spending on yourself and make sure you stay healthy.

If you have to spend your Bitcoin to stay alive, do spend it, you will get another.

If you have to spend your Bitcoin to save a life, do it, this is not the end.

If you have to spend your Bitcoin to have a better life, do it, Bitcoin or Crypto isn't the only way to become successful.

Take Good Care of yourselves.  Happy Easter
74  Economy / Gambling discussion / Rigged Game on: April 09, 2023, 03:27:32 PM
There are many problems that are affecting online casinos either due to been illegal operations or fraud cases like

Fake Advert, Payment Problems, Spamming Gamblers etc

But one comes in mind that I can't get rid of, those that Rigged their games, I don't know if people actually know that some online casinos Rigged their games, like the Aztec casino that was labeled a scam casino for example.

My question is how can one know that their game is rigged? If you play over 20 games and you lose it all, no one will believe you if you say that their is something wrong with the platform because truthfully as a gambler you have to lose, so what way can you actually know that a casino game is been rigged?
75  Economy / Gambling discussion / A costly gambling mistake on: March 13, 2023, 06:39:37 AM
The most popular mistake that newbies make with online casinos is avoiding the rules and regulations, not all online casinos will put up a warning sign on their first page and say 👇

"New users are welcome, please read our rules and regulation before making your first deposits"

You have to look for the website FAQ and go through it first, I have seen some newbies that avoid doing this has they ended up shooting themselves in the foot.

Some even start spreading FUD on the forum about these gambling platforms that did them wrong, not knowing that they are the ones at fault, they are guilty because they don't read the rules and regulations.
76  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / It's the 12th of March once again on: March 12, 2023, 04:39:58 PM
Almost 800 million in Bitcoin was liquidated in minutes on popular exchange called BitMEX years ago, how many of you guys remember this?

It was on the 12th of March 2020 that Bitcoin dropped 50% in value and this got me so good, till date I still regret my decision, because after so many endurance of waiting and waiting, Bitcoin dumped from 8000$ all the way down to 3,500$, I just gave up and it does not take too long, like 3 months later, that we were already in another bull market.

Do not be deceived by the chaos that the government are trying to cause, it's a big distraction, for those who are weak, do not be a weak BTC holder.
77  Economy / Exchanges / What could make an exchange to seize users assets on: March 11, 2023, 05:27:30 AM
Coinbase exchange was launched in 2012 right? Have there ever been any cases of users' assets being frozen and never released to them? I know someone living in the united states, she said that Coinbase seized her crypto in 2020 within that COVID-19 period and to date, the assets were never released back to her. I respect coinbase so much and I am curious why such a thing would happen.
78  Other / Beginners & Help / Don't consider yourself lucky on: February 27, 2023, 12:37:05 PM
I was crosschecking my messages on telegram just like I used to do every day and I came across a private message that consists of a screenshot with a different set of recovery seeds, for exodus wallet, Flux wallet, and Metamask, strange, isn't it?

This sender sent me this picture only and no Hi or hello like usual, just this picture.

How many of you are getting this messages? I bring this on this forum because it's nothing new to me, the motive behind this is to confuse new crypto investors that they mistakenly send you this picture.

Now, if you are very greedy like how many people are, you will want to import one of these seed into a wallet, hoping you will find one or two coins in the wallets.

And guess what? Such wallets always have coins in them, if they are empty how will you even think of sending ETH as gas fee into these wallets to move out the coins that's never yours?

The fact here is the wallets are wired to move out any deposited amount automatically once you send ETH into the wallets.

Moral lesson of the day

- Why are you even trying to claim what's not yours? You never hustle or work for this and you want to steal from someone else hustle, this is a very bad habit, it means if someone mistakenly send you a BTC or two you won't ever think of sending them back, there are good examples of people that return BTC mistakenly sent to them to the rightful owners, be a good example.

- Do not consider yourself lucky because People don't go online displaying their seeds, even new unpopular crypto wallets will warn you the first time you try to create a new wallet, to never share your seed with anyone, so if you come across any seeds online, it is intentional, to lure Greedy people.
79  Other / Off-topic / You will forever be missed on: February 25, 2023, 08:13:24 AM
There is nothing more painful than losing someone that supports you through and through.

Not long ago, I lose my father (74 years old), it's been 3 weeks now, he was the reason why I was able to confidently continue my crypto journey with no hurry, he has never for once told me that I am wasting my time, I remember one morning in 2018, he called me and told me about a podcast he listened to on the radio, he said they talked about Bitcoin on the radio and this makes it very important.

He said, do not give up, who knows? This could be the next big thing in the future. And his favorite quote is " this Life doesn't wait for anyone, things evolves very fast" ... I am able to be who I am today because of my father, while many people have a different story about their spouse when it comes to Cryptocurrency and Bitcoin, mine was different and very supportive.

The only regret I have is, not being able to take good care of my Bitcoin Father, I feel like I never did enough for him at all, he will forever be missed.

If you have families that support you on your journey, even when they don't entirely understand, consider yourself lucky and take good care of them before it's too late.

And for those who don't have any supporters, do not blame them, older people find Bitcoin very confusing.
80  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Learn from a brother's mistake on: February 09, 2023, 05:21:07 PM
A minute of silence for all Alliance Block investors...i have a brother who invested in this altcoin, hoping to hold till the next bull market, unfortunately the unexpected happened, now all the money is gone before he realized what's going on.

What lesson could be learned from this?

If you are a altcoin investor, do not keep all your eggs in one basket, if you believe in an altcoin, make sure it's not the only one, in fact, the more coins you have in your portfolio the lesser the risk, because not all the coins will go bad or get hacked, if one out of 5 or 10 become successful, 6x to , 10x or more, you've made back your ROI and still have some gains.

Also, I prefer projects from the Binance launch pad because binance don't just list any projects, 85% of all projects that used Binance launchpads are successful.

Alliance Block market cap is very low, projects with very low market cap are called degen by many and they are very risky, remember Gala games? It was hacked and all tokens were reimbursed, if Gala was a very small project I don't think they will do the reimbursement.
