I searched a lot and apparently, this command is only able to retrieve the balance If you control the address. I want to know how the blockexplorer etc. do it then? I don't necessarily need the code behind it, just want to know what's the trick here?

A hard fork must implement replay protection in order to make it safe for users so they don't lose their bitcoins. If not implemented, would emptying these wallets and then claiming the fork makes it any safer, no more risk of losing the bitcoins?

I know that USDT is an omni token so It can be stored in any bitcoin address that you control it private keys but how about spending? Is there is any alternative to omniwallet.org?

I didn't invest anything there due to accusations about it being a ponzi scheme but I checked the price today after seeing someone talking about it on SegWit2x thread and It literally got destroyed, so what happened here?

So I was checking it on coinmarketcap and I've seen that the price is so high for some reason in Korean exchanges, anyone managed to register there and make some profit? It's excluded on CMC but you should still be able to see the prices.

If you don't already know, Steam stopped supporting BTC due to high fees and price volatility. Bitrefill (used to top up phone) is now letting you buy from Steam by selling vouchers using both BTC and LTC.

Do you guys know what happened with the following forks: Super Bitcoin, BitcoinX, SegWit2x and Bitcoin Diamond? All of them seem to be listed in exchanges and have high trading volume but I don't see anyone speaking about them. Are they safe and easy to claim?

I'm not paying anything extra If the account contain other games. I will need to have full access to the account, ability to change password etc. I don't really care about the rank but anything above Silver elite master should be fine. It should not have any competitive/VAC ban.

I'm thinking about joining the IOTA community but I'd like someone to explain what is this about exactly. Bitcoin was meant to be a P2P Electronic cash, Ethereum is here for smart contracts, what about IOTA? - What is the maximum supply that we will have have?
- How is it obtained? mining(POS/POW)?
- What is a good wallet to store your IOTA? I have checked Exodus and It's not listed there
- Does it use the blockchain technology? why there are no fees involved?

I use Electrum and I want to claim my BitcoinGold. I tried the same process as I did for Bitcoin Cash but that didn't work as Coinomi keep telling me that the private key have no funds while it does, I have checked a BTG blockexplorer to make sure. Who faced this issue and what alternatives do I have?

I know that as soon as you mention these things in addition to satanic rituals and MK mind control and things that are happening in Hollywood etc. You will be considered as either paranoid or mentally sick person. Some might or may not believe in these things so what's your take in this subject?

I'm new to all this, so go easy with me. I searched a little bit and ended up making the decision of mining using 6 GPUs (Nvidia GTX 1070). The electricity cost in my country is like 0.05$/kw (If not lower) and planning to go with Ethereum. 1. Should I switch to another crypto currency? 2. What should I understand before starting to mine 3. I'm going to follow this . How bad/good are the instructions and information's there? 4. Solo or pools mining? 5. How much hash power I'm going to generate? 180 Mh/s? 6. Is this accurate?

I'm new to mining and I don't even know where to start so any help will greatly be appreciated. It's not a big rig or anything, I only have this one graphic card and I was wondering If I could generate any profit using it, the electricity here is not expensive so that won't be a problem I assume.

SegWit locked in and we should see it activated in the upcoming days, just a matter of time. While putting the November hardfork aside, what proposals or features that are under development that we should be excited about?

I can't find much on their twitter except an announcement where they talked about collecting enough money, +200m dollar. I believe that the whitepaper was first posted on the forums like three years ago and this make the project more credible as they had time to work on it but why there is no blog posts or anything to share from their part? not even roadmap?

I just want to make sure that I'm doing this right. Will I be able to withdraw my USDT or switching them back to BTC on Bittrex? while taking in consideration that I'm under no circumstance willing to provide personal details about myself. I only have 2FA enabled and no further details were given at registration. Is that enough?

I believe that theymos should make a thread or at least link to a useful post here or to Reddit that explains the current situation and how people can stay safe during the upcoming storm that is coming in August. It should be linked right on the top where there is the announcement saying "Latest stable version of Bitcoin Core: 0.14.2 [Torrent]." and in color.
You may not know but a lot of people are unaware of what's going to happen, It's also suggested to translate the linked post into multiple languages as well so we target more people (I can help in that case).

I was checking Bitrefill twitter until I saw they tweet regarding a service called Afterburner which is made by Samourai wallet. The service can be used by downloading their app from Google play, downloading is free but boosting your transaction isn't. " To unstuck a transaction you will be charged $5.99 in BTC plus the fee required to the bitcoin miners which varies based on network conditions and transaction size" I haven't used the service myself so that's why I'm asking here on the first place, the wallet will only work with HD wallets and will ask you for your passphrase, that made me a little bit worried but in the same time, the project is open source so I just wanna know If someone already used this and could tell us how reliable this app is.

I keep getting this error for the past week or two now. I don't know If it's a DDOS again: Busy, try again (504)
The server seems to be overloaded right now. Please try again in a little while.
If you are getting this error while trying to post something, press the reload/refresh button in your browser and accept the browser warning. Keep doing this until you get a non-error page, at which point your post will be made. Leave at least a few seconds between each attempt.
It is normal for this error to occur every once in a while. There is generally no need to report it. However, if you get this error so often that it becomes especially disruptive, post to the Meta section of the forum about it.

As I said, I'm getting this often so I'm reporting it as mentioned on the error message.
