5  Other / Meta / Preventing Signature Spammers and Increasing Quality of Discussion on: December 23, 2018, 08:29:57 AM
Signature spammers became big part of this forum and in fact, it caused quality of discussion to decrease. Not decrease but basically they killed it.

I, hereby offer a solution;

When creating thread, another additional option should be available and that should be something like; No Signature

What this feature will do?

If someone replies to a thread, his/her signature will not show up. Basically it will be empty.

Which, as signature spammers slowly realize that their effort to spam certain threads is not working, they will put their focus on other threads they can spam and this will create space for quality discussion at certain subs/threads.

This might be a good punishment mechanism to prevent unnecessary replies made by sig spammers.

14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Correct me if im wrong on: April 12, 2017, 12:41:17 PM
So,

Let's say I have 6 rx 480 mines ETHEREUM at 28 Mh/s. 115w per card total 690w. Cost per KW/h is $0.12.

Current diff is 259 T. Current Eth price is $44,27.

Here is the Ethereum difficulty chart(T) with percentages;

2016;

May(34) to June(42) ---> +%23
June(42) to July(55) ---> +%30
July(55) to Aug(54) ---> -%2
Aug(54) to Sep(70) ---> +%29
Sep(70) to Oct(76) ---> +%8,5
Oct(76) to Nov(73) ---> -%4
Nov(73) to Dec(70) ---> -%4
Dec(70) to Jan(79) ---> +%12,8

2017;

Jan(79) to Feb(111) ---> +%40
Feb(111) to Mar(152) ---> +%37
Mar(152) to Apr(239) ---> +%57

Now based on this 12 month difficulty chart, I'm predicting %29,66 increase at difficulty every month.

Here is the monthly revenue chart for my six card;

Here is my calculation about how much I'm going to make and lose;

Here is my question comes;

1- Based on this calculation if I invest total $3.000 for everything, is that mean I will get $1790 net profit for the first year?
2- Did I included the difficulty in a correct way? Is my calculations right?
3- Why Ethereum difficulty jumped from 79 to 239 in just three months?

17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Question; Bitcoin Payment on: January 27, 2017, 12:29:33 PM
Hey everyone,

Is there any company/startup outside that customers can pay for your product from the normal way(Credit Card, Paypal and other normal payment methods) and I can receive the payment as Bitcoin.

A lot of customers prefer traditional way to pay and when I say, "why don't you use Bitcoin? You can go to "x" website and buy some bitcoins" but you know, since they don't know anything about Bitcoin, they get scared or lazy and they don't do it.

19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / What do you think about using AWS for Mining? on: July 23, 2016, 04:16:53 PM
There is tools like EC2, S3, Redshift and etc.

Due high hourly price using AWS might not seem like the best option for mining but sometimes I prefer to use "Spot Instances" for mining. Which means, you can get machines for hourly rate at around 0.7 USD instead of 2,1-2,3 USD.(Based on the machine you use, price might change. I usually use g2.8xlarge)

I'm very curious to see, if there is any miner in this forum using AWS for mining?

I would to like hear your experiences on that. Downsides and upsides...
