Firo follows the same halving cycle as Bitcoin (every 4 years). The current block reward of 12.5 FIRO/block is divided as follows: - Miners (50%, 6.25 FIRO)
- Masternodes (35%, 4.375 FIRO )
- Development Fund (15%, 1.875 FIRO)
What will Firo's Development Reward be used for?15% of Firo’s block reward goes towards a development fund to fund development work and other efforts in promoting Firo’s adoption. The fund pays primarily for coder and researcher salaries, community managers, translation work, audits, bug bounties, integration costs and infrastructure overheads. We are always actively looking for talent so please do reach out over e-mail or our Discord! How does Firo differ from the other privacy coins? You can read the full privacy technology comparison here.ROADMAPhttps://firo.org/about/roadmap/More info:ResourcesCommunityMining PoolsExchanges with firo / fiat pairing (Use at your own risk!)Exchanges with firo / crypto pairing (Use at your own risk!)Masternode Hosting Services (Use at your own risk!)

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

From the ZCash integration docs: PRIVATE TRANSACTION PERFORMANCE
On a quad-core benchmark server, generating a private transaction consumes ~3.2 GB of memory and ~50 seconds of compute time. On a 32-core Amazon EC2 server, compute time is around ~30 seconds.
If that is the case, you'd need a supercomputer to use ZCash. I'll stick with ZCoin for now. It runs on a normal computer and actually works.

Its better lol I'm beginning to fundamentally disagree with you, ocminer. Sure, zcoin took a name similar to zcash. It's also mineable by a guy with a laptop, which zcash will surely not be. You take a stand that ethclassic is somehow morally superior to eth. Eth has a team of skilled developers with years of experience while ethclassic was thrown together on a lark and tries to compensate by exhibiting a quick pump.
