142  Bitcoin / Mining / Encrypting Messages with Sha and using old miners to communicate? on: August 27, 2014, 08:26:45 PM
Hey guys I was thinking about all the privacy concerns there are with online communication currently and was thinking about secure business communication, and started thinking about something most of us have and that is mining equipment. Now would it be possible to secure messages with the SHA-256 encryption and set the difficulty of it for messages? Say I write message and encrypt it at a difficulty that will take a 100g/hash an average of 10 seconds to crack (with luck as a variable), say this is a communication between two business partners and part time miners and somehow a thief online was able to get into his files (say a dropbox) and encounter this, lets assume he doesn't have a miner and probably won't take the time to try and decrypt this with a pc but if he does depending on his gpu it would take him a while and the message may be outdated by then.

Is this possible/anyway to input this ?
143  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin addiction? Serious topic on: August 21, 2014, 12:11:41 PM
Well I noticed I had a dream last night that a website I was browsing accepted Bitcoin, I guarentee im not the only one who has had bitcoin dreams but it made me think are we addicted to bitcoin? Is this more than an investment or digital money but is it a whole scene and hobby? I love cryptocurrencies but I never thought i would be dreaming about webpages accepting bitcoins for Corvettes.

Is anyone else addicted to Bitcoin?

I am currently selling this for about .01 BTC, I will give you as much information as possible plus all my current gold tips.

146  Economy / Goods / [WTS] Limited Edition numbered Zinodaur Litecoin on: August 12, 2014, 08:27:53 PM
So i have 2 zinodaur Litecoins (1 loaded, 1 unloaded) that are limited edition and has a specific production number, they are no longer being made it seems like are pretty beautiful. I am trying to focus a bit on Bitcoin right now and thought this might be a nice collectors item for someone.

This is what they look like and I am located in the US, we will use escrow on here.

Anyone interested in here? I haven't found a solid price for one of these limited edition ones but go ahead and offer and I will see if it seems fair.
147  Other / Off-topic / Beer and Alcohol video reviews! Boozer Chooser on youtube! on: August 04, 2014, 03:45:26 AM
So me and my buddy drink (and brew) a lot of different beers and decided lets bring our opinions to everyone, so we made a youtube channel called Boozer Chooser. So we started out slow and recorded a few videos on crap beer (were broke until next month) and uploaded only a couple of the videos we made so far, we would love your opinion on it and what other beers we should get and try. Here is a crappy review at a festival
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FKEHlvUnb7I

Thanks for the views and opinions.

(And yes I am the one in this video)

Videos will increase in quality this is just getting our foot in the door (getting account made and videos uploaded and it actually started)
148  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Cheap Android Phone as cold storage? on: July 30, 2014, 01:35:33 PM
I bought my wife a phone the other day and was looking at all the cheap androids they had and went back to an old idea i had, what if you buy a cheap android pop in an Micro SD with only the BTC Mobile wallet App and install it and never connect to a network or wifi. Wouldn't this be a relatively safe and cheap mobile cold storage? Back up the keys on the micro sd just incase the phone spontaneously dies and your good to go? Looking for reasons why this would be a bad idea, thanks.

150  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTB] Fury scrypt miners on: July 20, 2014, 04:44:40 AM
The user from the other thread never got back to me, I am looking to buy 2 fury miners for 30$ each. I am low on crypto and would like to do the exchange via Paypal. I have all good feedback and have performed trades on /r/bitmarket.
I will buy the miners separate if need be (2 hers only have 1 each, that's fine with me)

Thanks!
151  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin investing without Bank transfer on: July 18, 2014, 05:26:38 PM
So i used to have a coinbase account until i closed it and i closed it due to a fear that if an attack happened on coinbase that they could transfer funds from my bank account. Now i still would like to buy bitcoins but i can't seem to find a decent way to do that without a bank transfer. Should i just trust coinbase with my bank information? Say an unathorized wire happened would i be screwed or would the bank cover me? What is the best way to go about this and what are your experiences?

For reference i live in the US and use a major US bank.
152  Economy / Digital goods / [WTS] Pokemon for Trade in X & Y on: July 18, 2014, 12:51:10 PM
I am looking to trade rare/sought after Pokemon for crypto.I only trade/sell 100% legit Pokemon, i do NOT deal with hacked or duped pokemon whatsoever Legendaries are in short quanitity as i have to either get them from trades or restart a different game everytime i want multiple and transport them over.

Here is how it works: You pick a pokemon that i have listed or post a pokemon you want and it will usually range from 1$-2$ for breedable pokemon. If you are looking special stats that are breed for it will increase via which stats you want. You pick it, message me your friendcode and we set up trade, I will trade you whichever pokemon you bought for any terrible pokemon you are willing to trade(IE: Torchik for caterpi). So if you buy 5 pokemon you may need to go catch 5 terribad pokemon to trade.

Here is a short list of some i have, I will update later

Bulbasaur
charmander
Squirtle
chikorita
tododile
cyndaquil
Torchik
Chimchar
Togepi
Pikachu
Abra
Machop

and many many more.

If you want an evolution (ie: charmelon or charizard) add 1$ worth of crypto for it. They should all be available.

I accept Bitcoin, Litecoin, Vertcoin, Dogecoin.
153  Economy / Digital goods / [WTS] WoW Gold - Bleeding Hollow Us (Horde) on: July 17, 2014, 07:18:49 PM
So i am selling WoW gold, sadly it is only on one realm : Bleeding Hollow US and on Horde side. This is due to that i make all the gold myself and it is 100% legit made by me. This may make it a lot harder to find a buyer but the gold is a lot better than scammed/stolen or hacked gold that is known to lead to bans. I will be able to sell to Alliance but it will be via Neutral AH, you would post a green item for whatever amount you bought and i would buy it in game.

So here is the info again:

Game: World of Warcraft
Realm:Bleeding Hollow - United States
Faction: Horde
Price: Negotiable but looking for 1$ worth of crypto per 1000g

I will accept all major forms of crypto but prefer Bitcoin.
154  Bitcoin / Hardware / NanoPC Linux micro PC ? (Replacing the Pi) on: June 25, 2014, 11:30:26 PM
Hi, i was wondering if this Linux microPC by NanoPC would run all the distros created for the Raspberri pi?
This is the link here http://nanopc.org/NanoPC-T1_HardWare.html#tag

It seems to have a quad core Samsung exynos CPU with 1gb ram and 8gb onboard storage.

It has multiple OS's preinstalled :
Android 4.2.2
Linux+Qt system
Ubuntu

it seems like its possible to add OS's, so even thought its arm architecture could it run the Raspberry pi mining OS's?

(Why do i ask and not just use a pi?)
I do use a Pi actually i have 2 but was wondering since they can be slow at times and not able to multitask much, it would be nice to have a micro PC i could use while it had asics attached mining and it isn't MUCH more than a pi with AC and case.
155  Bitcoin / Mining / Solo Mining with old outdated equipment? on: June 22, 2014, 12:06:05 AM

156  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / ARM Only coin Possible? on: June 03, 2014, 12:41:08 PM
So i know the ALT coin market is quite saturated but i was thinking that a unique coin could still be of use. Now i was wondering if anyone had any information about this idea of mine and if it would be possible to implement. A CPU only mining coin that would only be minable by only ARM Cpu's, this in theory would be a fully decentralized coin that anyone could mine (even with their smartphones) and asic resistant. If someone wanted to set up an ARM farm we would only see a couple hundred watts with a big farm (a quad core ARM device can only use 4 watts).  Is this is anyway possible to develop?
