41  Economy / Gambling discussion / MLB Extra Innings Betting on: May 05, 2016, 04:42:26 PM
So in the last couple of weeks, I have been betting on MLB games not going into overtime.  I have managed to go from an initial deposit of 1 btc to the 2.04844 btc that is currently in my account.  Not too shabby!  I wanted to create this thread to track my progress and to see if there was any interest in following me as I go for 3 btc?  I will be posting my bets daily, and hopefully we can make it to 3 btc in under 2 weeks.

The only site I have found that still offers this bet is Jetwin.  They have been around for a long time and have a nice looking site, so I would recommend playing there.

So, to get my tally going...

Starting Bankroll - 2.04844 btc
Hopeful Ending Bankroll - 3 btc

Bets for 5/5/16
St. Louis Cardinals vs Philadelphia Phillies will not go into overtime - bet 450 mbtc at 1.08 odds.

Thanks, and good luck to me!
42  Economy / Lending / Looking for a 0.5 btc loan on: February 13, 2016, 10:47:39 PM
I am looking for a half a bitcoin loan to finish funding a large local bitcoins transaction I am doing.  I have taken much larger loans than this (See Quickseller's thread) without collateral, so I am hoping this amount isn't a problem.  I will need the half a bitcoin for about 7 days (repayment will probably be sooner, just want to make sure I have enough time), and I can offer 3% interest on this loan for that time.

Here is the address I have been signing from...

43  Economy / Collectibles / (Interest Check) Woodcollector Original Plaque on: February 04, 2016, 03:58:23 AM
Hello, I have in my possession an original plaque that I had commissioned from Woodcollector.  Now regardless of your feelings for the guy (which is beyond the scope of this thread), he is now apart of bitcoin history, and I am curious if his works carry any value as collectibles?

I have a plaque made from purpleheart wood that is used to house a silver quarter collection.  It has enough slots to house a silver quarter for every year that they were made (Please see pictures for reference).

Please let me know if there is any interest in this piece as it is apart of bitcoin history.  I really don't know at what price I would let it go, but would be interested to see what interest there was around it.

44  Economy / Computer hardware / (WTS) Bunch Of Old Mining and Networking Equipment, Accessories, and Other on: January 08, 2016, 11:01:00 PM
So with the move into a new house, I figured it was time to go through my stash of various mining equipment and paraphernalia that has accumulated over years worth of mining.  I have quite a bit to list and will be adding things as I continue to go through my boxes of old equipment.  If there is something specific your looking for just post below and I will see what I have.

All payments will be in bitcoin at the Coinbase rate to the address on the next line.  DO NOT PAY TO ANY OTHER ADDRESS!
1GXc5XkUW9prdaNWtjMoiZj7VdD9fAKpph
If asked to pay to a different address by any account please let me know so I can flag them.  There are accounts who have tried to impersonate me.

Shipping will be paid for by the buyer.  Most items will be relatively cheap and should be under $10, some heavier items may be higher.  If unsure, please work out with my shipping costs before we make a deal.

OgNasty can be used as escrow if the buyer so chooses, but the buyer will be liable for any escrow fees charged.  I have a long and proud history on this forum, so escrow should not be necessary, but I understand the necessity and security of offering it.

Items will ship within 48 hours of receipt of payment (not counting weekends).   If this will not be possible you will be alerted as such.

If there is no price next to the item, please feel free to make an offer, if its fair, I will most likely accept it.

46  Economy / Lending / Looking to borrow 3 btc on: December 29, 2015, 12:16:53 AM
I need to borrow 3 btc without any collatoral. I can sign an address used in the past when I get home tonight if required, but I also did it in my last loan request that Quikseller filed and was promptly repaid on.

The reason is to hAve enough bitcoins to sell for a localbitcoins transaction tomorrow. I will have the loan repaid within 7 days, most likely quicker.

I am able to offer .05 btc as interest for 7 days, you will receive the .05 even if paid back quicker.

Please reply below if interested.
47  Economy / Currency exchange / Looking for Longterm Paypal to Bitcoin Exchanger on: December 15, 2015, 11:34:58 PM
Hello,

I am looking for someone who has bitcoin and would like to trade with a trusted member for Paypal.  I am looking for a 1:1 Btc to Paypal transaction and someone who is able to support fairly large volumes.  You must also be fairly well available as I can need coins at just about any time during the day/evening.

This will not be a one time thing, and once we have gotten our channels established well, could be a multiple times a day thing.

You will also have to feel comfortable sending first.  We can use escrow a little bit, but I eventually want to get to the point where we won't have to anymore as that is quicker.  (and to be honest, escrow doesn't do squat against Paypal trades, so it really isn't even worth it).

I am open to using more than 1 person if need be, but I want to stress that I want to establish a long term thing where you will be able to continuously cash out your bitcoins into Paypal balance.

Thanks and please let me know if there is any interest.

So once again I am completely out of bitcoins due to selling them on localbitcoins and have a returning customer that I want to keep happy. I assume 3 btc will handle it for now, but there is the possibility of needing more. I would need this loan until wednesday, so 4 days.  I am set to make 8% over spot on the deal, so I could do interest of .04 btc on the deal.

Please let me know if there is any interest in funding this. I unfortunately only can access these forums from my phone as we moved into a new house today and I won't have Internet on my computer set up until monday, so can't really sign an address.  But I can take a picture of the coinbase transaction where I am purchasing the bitcoin.

Thanks

Edit: I would be signing a coinbase address, but the searchiefs functions wouldn't be great on my phone to be able to find one since I can't for the life of me remember the last time I posted an address on here. That is why I say I can't really sign right now.
49  Economy / Exchanges / Coinbase Not Authorizing VISA Cards on: December 04, 2015, 03:32:46 AM
I just got an email saying that Coinbase could not authorize the credit card that I had on file and that my instant buy was disabled.  I tried adding the card again and was told the card issuer declined the charge and then tried a different credit card through my bank that is also a VISA and got the same thing?

Anyone know what is going on?  Did VISA declare war on bitcoin?
50  Economy / Trading Discussion / Questions about Venmo on: November 09, 2015, 03:55:39 AM
Hello,

I sell locally on localbitcoins and meet up with people to do cash trades.  I have had someone contact me wanting to use Venmo as a payment source and have done a little research but wanted others opinion, hopefully users of the service, on the merits of trading with it.

From someone I talked to, he says that if the buyers Venmo account was funded with a credit card, then he could easily claim fraud and the money would be reversed.  If the account was funded with a bank account, then they usually do not reverse the transaction.  Has anyone had any experience with reversals through Venmo?  What if I do small amounts and then just withdraw to my bank account every time a payment comes in?  Can Venmo take it back out of my account if the buyer tries to reverse payment?  The buyer is saying he can provide proof of ID and bank account balance, but I don't understand why he would not just be open to withdrawing the money into cash and meeting me?

Thanks anyone for help or advice.
51  Economy / Trading Discussion / Looking For Advice On Opening My Own Bitcoin ATM Business on: October 21, 2015, 08:58:23 PM
I am interested in hearing stories about people owning or operating their own Bitcoin ATM's.  I have a potential opportunity to install machines into some convenience stores and want to know some of the challenges and rewards of making this investment.

Some things I am interested about finding out about...

Obviously sales, I know this will vary by location and what not, but generally, what kind of interest have you seen in your ATM within the 1st month, 2nd month, and so on?  Did you generally see business rise the longer your ATM was active?

Regulatory concerns.  Based on what I have read about KS, by buying and selling from me to another person, I am not in need of a money transfer license.  If I were to use a 3rd party exchange to connect buyer and sellers, then I get into issues.  So by owning a machine that I stock with bitcoins, I should not have any issues with the current law.  Can anyone share any research they have done on the subject?

I am going to have to research whether this would be considered a service or goods for sales tax purposes.  Thoughts?

Security and machine type?  How secure was the machine and did you feel comfortable leaving it in a store, possibly in not so nice neighborhoods?  Did you have insurance on your machine and if so, how much was it and where did you get it?  Were you ever robbed/machine stolen?

Issues with the machine.  How often did you find yourself servicing the machine for errors or other problems?  Were the machines easy enough to just set and collect once a week or did other problems arise?

I am also wondering if I should apply and get an EIN and make this into an actual business with its own books and bank accounts/what not.  Would probably be easier to manage everything that way, but I am not totally sure yet.  Anyone create a business around this?  The spots where the machines would go are not owned by me, but by someone I have been put in contact with.  I have no idea how he would want to structure the deal, but if anyone has paid for space or shared monthly profits, what has the split been for just renting space?

This is a pretty good list of questions to start with.  I am planning to visit some other ATM's in my area to find out what premiums they are charging and other information that they owner might share with me.  If there are any further experiences or thoughts please share them here as I would need to put a business proposal together if I were to move forward with this plan.

Thank you everyone for reading, I look forward to hearing your responses

I am looking to buy an antminer S3+ in the United States. Must work with no issues and mine at 450 GH/s.

I am willing to pay $70 plus $10 for shipping, so $80 total. Shipping will be to 66221 KS in the US.

You will ship first or pay for the escrow if you want one. Unit will be tested once received and payment will be made/released from escrow only after it is verified to be in working order.

Please post below with offers or questions.

Thanks
53  Economy / Lending / CLOSED - NO LONGER NEEDED on: September 18, 2015, 05:10:51 PM
I have had a huge amount of localbitcoins action in the last week and my bitcoin reserves have depleted faster than I can replenish them.  And I just had a returning customer ask for larger amount that goes beyond what I currently have access to, hence my need for a short term loan until my Coinbase purchase goes through.

I can pay .06 plus principal back in roughly 4 days, once my Coinbase buy order goes through.

Please let me know if there is any interest.  There is no collateral provided for this loan.

EDIT:  Need this filled in about an hour or two, if no interest by then I will close the offer.

EDIT2: Please note, I have had people trying to impersonate me before.  Only send btc to this addy once we make an agreement.

56  Economy / Service Discussion / Any interest in Hair Products for Bitcoin???? on: May 03, 2015, 07:14:05 PM
My parents own some hair salons and sell hair products in the shops.  I could probably get a list of the products that they have for sale and list them here, but before I go through the effort, I want to see if there would be ample interest?

So please let me know if you would pay bitcoin for things like shampoo and conditioner, and whether paying a few dollars over what you could get those products for at Walmart or other places for shipping would hinder you buying online?
57  Economy / Currency exchange / (WTT) I have AmericasCardRoom money, want Btc on: April 23, 2015, 10:29:13 PM
I was fortunate enough to win some money on http://www.americascardroom.eu/ and want to sell it to someone else and get bitcoin.  I currently have $636.75 on the site, and am asking for $600 in bitcoin for it.

I will split it up if you want smaller amounts, but offers for more will take precedence as I want to sell the lot quickly to pay for wedding bands for me and my fiancée.

I will accept escrow if you pay escrow fees, otherwise you will be sending first, no matter the amount.

After money is in escrow or my account, I will player to player the funds to you and only need your logon name to get this done.  Whole transaction should be quick, although player to player transfers can take a few hours sometimes.  Screenshots of sent funds can be provided.

If there are questions, please feel free to write below.  Watch out for scammers, I have had people try to duplicate my name and send PM's stating there was a deal, when there wasn't.  Always do due diligence and make sure it is me in PM's before sending money anywhere.

Thanks everyone,

Guess I should unplug some of my older machines and finally upgrade them.  Here is what I am looking for and the price I will pay...

Antminer S2 - $125 ea

Antminer S3+ - $100 ea

Antminer S4 - $350 ea

Antminer S5 - $325 ea

Shipping can be negotiated, but I am in the US and shipping from out of country would probably be too expensive.  All miners should run at their advertised speeds at stock settings.

If your interested please let me know.

Thanks,

59  Bitcoin / Pools / Pool Payout Comparison List on: March 03, 2015, 09:23:49 PM
I had an idea to point a few Antminer S3's to different pools and keep track of the daily payouts, to help people determine which pool has the best payouts (I know there are a bunch of statistics and what not, but this will consist of actual payouts based on an S3 being pointed at each pool.  I have had them going for about 2 days now to 3 different pools, and will do my best to update this thread daily for the most accurate assessment.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1fmCAYWcmkYmgzA4HFt2Pm8u3zb-oOvNF7qTZLYcRKcc/edit?usp=sharing

Please note, all S3's are at stock rate and mine at 450 GH/s so there are no inconsistencies.  I will get on each day (hopefully) and update with the previous day's payout.  Each pool is set to payout daily, so there should be an update everyday.  I will do my best to keep this list going for as long as I can.

Please let me know if there are any improvements or suggestions to my methods of going about this.  Any and all feedback is welcomed and encouraged.

The main reason I started this thread was because it is so hard to pick a pool and know which ones are the best.  There are pages upon pages of people claiming to be cheated by Ghash, or have higher payouts from A or B pool, but I haven't really noticed a difference from what I thought I should be making at Ghash and what they were paying out to me, so I decided to undertake this venture with actual numbers and miners, not just theory, to determine which top pools currently pay the best.

I would also eventually like to expand if this gets enough interest in the future and possibly add comparisons such as other top pools and places like Westhash, to see if they actually end up making more by using that service, but I wanted to see if this would gain traction first.

Thanks Everyone,

60  Economy / Computer hardware / (WTS) Many S3's for Sale on: February 01, 2015, 07:51:29 PM
BE CAREFUL, IT HAS BEEN POINTED OUT THAT SOMEONE IS SENDING PM's TRYING TO IMPERSENATE ME.  ALWAYS DOUBLE CHECK YOU ARE TALKING TO ME AND THAT THERE IS A LEGENDARY UNDER MY NAME.

Hey guys, I have a bunch of S3's for sale between myself and my partner.  For now, I will start with getting rid of 10 of them, and update stock from there as we are ready to let them go.

I am looking for $160 in btc for each of these, plus shipping, but am willing to negotiate, especially if buying in bulk.

All S3's have been running in a cool area with no problems whatsoever and are from different batch's.  Shipping will be within 24 hours of payment received and usually arrives within 2 to 3 business days.  Tracking will be provided.

I am open to escrow, if we can agree on the person and you pay fees.  You can also view my trust and send first if you would rather avoid fees.

Thanks guys, please post or PM if interested.
