has/does the QT wallet always used change addresses?
i have noticed that when I send some BTC a change address is not used
is there a flag to switch this on and off?

when you have encrypted a wallet
If you use a password, can you put it into an un-ecrypted state by leaving the new password as blank
Can you then dumpprivkey?
if not how can you dumpprivkey for an encrypted wallet
will pywallet do this if you enter the password somewhere?

So there is going to be a correction, the problem is how high does it go and what is the correction low, this make selling impossible. Also I think after every correction that hands must be stronger as those people who did not sell out are not going to sell out, so it make it harder to push down, you only get the residual newbs with weak hand that get flushed out. I feel 10K at this point is a given, maybe not this time but its going to happen, and after I would not be surprised to see 100K about 13 months after the 10K is reached.....from then I could easily go to 1 Million a coin. At 2.1T - 21T+ market cap BTC/Cryptos will be a force to be reckoned with <Polemic begins> Why ? There is so much political mismanagement/uselessness/oppression, outright inefficiency, economic mismanagement, quantitative easing, and finally we the people have the mechanism to catch all of this and see the elision of sovereignty from the state 'the select few" to the individual, <EOP> Also the alts are going grab a piece of the pie, even if its not BTC, some cyrpto will do it. |

I lost much faith in this article when I read Litecoin, for example, retains Bitcoin’s limited money supply but offers faster transactions and tries to avoid energy-intensive mining. This is completely wrong. LTC uses just as much power as BTC. all so the asic network is not busting at the seams, it BTC difficultly drops if miners pull out |

If I understand correctly, IOcoin is the same as IXcoin but without the "scammy" launch
accordingly I don't see why IOcoin wont overtake IXcoin, thus IOcoin in for at least a 500% rise.

this would also allow the masses to raise their Science a bit.

So I have checked 4 of my addresses in the QT on blockchain and they all add up to X BTC
however the QT show a number Y which is less than X
I have used the console commands to get balance on each and it shows 0.00 on each address.
I have checked and I can dump all the relevant private keys.
any hints as to what could be going on, or how to investigate further, in the QT only as I do not want to import priv keys to online or other wallet

LTC looks like it is going to a $1 B cap. Given the difference in media and funds at the current time for BTC I don't see why BTC would not be going to $50 B or $100B cap in near future

So I was in the CBD of a major city today, and walking along in the commercial district, I happened to overhear two "typical" businessmen type discussing BTC.
The conversation went
"it records every transaction and every body can see them"
"Yeah???"
"but no one really know who owns them...."
etc etc
I got the sense that the two financial types investor types, were trying to grapple with something that they couldn't quite grok.
A sort of whats happening?, but no gov backs it...., you can't just make up money, I don't get it?, what does this mean for me?...it worth what $10 Billion? combination of "feel" was going on
It seems financial types who play in the gov fiat are becomeing dimly aware of the straw house built on sand they occupy.
I like to occasionally mention BTC in a conversation
I was paying by visa (I felt dirty/heretical....come on emu save me)
I mention "one day I will pay you with bitcoin....have you heard of it?"
She replied "yes...!"

We just hit 10 Billion Market cap
next 13 - 20 months, 100 Billion, then 13 -20 months after 1T.
I think at the 10K per bitcoin, it starts to become useful for large investors, 401k funds, insurance funds, investment funds etc.
but at 100K a coin it becomes much more useful as there would be enough liquidity to absorb 100M investments,
at 1M a coin, BTC could be potentially used for overnight settlement
