11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Who says $$$ is going to collapse? on: March 27, 2013, 11:04:10 PM
Because BTC is actually propping it up?

From what I see BTC is mainly traded in Dollars... just like Oil.

If Oil wasn't traded in $ it would not be as strong. That's why the US don't like Iran as they trade in other currencies.

?

15  Bitcoin / Mining support / How to start a mining pool? on: March 26, 2013, 01:36:24 PM
I want to set up a mining for a charity I want to set up (www.btcaid.org). The website will have a javascript miner which will allow Joe Blogs to mine for coins.

Any suggestions, tips?
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin does not solve any problems! on: March 25, 2013, 09:06:57 PM
The way things are going with Bitcoin banks, Bitcoin gambling etc will Bitcoin actually solve the evils associated with money?

In the UK we blame the bankers for all the problems. What makes the Bitcoin Banks/Exchanges different than the greedy bankers? You say 'it's decentralized' but the people who have all the Bitcoins actually control the whole economy... like Goldman Sucks control the world.

Just a few thoughts, don't troll me too hard.
17  Other / Off-topic / Growing weed vs. Mining for BTC on: March 25, 2013, 02:12:47 PM
Which is better for energy consumption vs profit?

All these guys growing weeds for sale of the Blackmarket should just mine, no?

One is legal the other not.

Grow lights, pots+plants, plant food costs a lot probably the same as a diy mining rig.
18  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / ATI Radeon X300 SE good to mine? on: March 24, 2013, 07:38:55 PM

19  Bitcoin / Project Development / BTC Aid - The worlds first Bitcoin charity on: March 24, 2013, 12:04:54 AM
I have set up the worlds first bitcoin chairty (www.btcaid.org) but need to develop the idea.

Someone who wants to donate anonymously to a charity can do so, through BTC Aid.

I have many ideas on how to raise bitcoins for the needy. One idea to to develop a 100% safe javascript miner so regular people can generate bitcoins/litecoins. Please click here for an example: http://btcaid.org/how-it-works/

This will be an ideal way to promote bitcoin, a regular person can help create BTC/LTC.

I want to get some prominent people on board, I might be able to get a MP to say a few words. The Charity will be 100% transparent will links to blockchain for each cause etc. The prominent people will be patrons of the charity so trust will be there.

I need people on board, if you think you can help, let me know.

I have the following domains:

www.btcaid.ch
www.btcaid.org
www.btcaid.info
www.btcaid.com

What do you think?

20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / WARNING: ADL missing (no AMD platform?), temperature control is disabled on: March 21, 2013, 07:13:34 PM
I'm mining using GUIMiner and was using my CPU. I clicked stop mining then selected my GPU (Intel 400) and then clicked 'start mining'.

Am I going to cock up my machine? I hear a fan running but now sure which one.
