201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / ESP Espers, XVG Verge and PoSW Coin Wallets? on: June 05, 2017, 07:03:33 PM
Hi,

Which are the best cold wallets for these alts?
202  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / How readers verify whether a High Ranking member is a specific AltCoin Promoter? on: May 07, 2017, 03:56:37 PM
All Alt Coin/Asset company owners obviously know that this website bitcointalk is the place where readers especially newbie beginners come to read and research on a Alt.

Obviously readers/newbies will ask questions on a Alt and more likely to consider answers from senior/high ranking/established members of this website

Now the question is how do readers on this site verify whether the senior/high ranking members of this site are not part of a Alt so we know the answers from them are legit and not influenced to get readers especially beginners buying into a specific alt?

Is there like a ebay style trust/feedback system here on this site?

Thanks,
203  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / POSW website problem on: May 07, 2017, 03:10:36 PM
Hi,

Anyone having problems with POSW website? Website not loading up.

204  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Which of these Alts will be $1 like PIVX? on: May 02, 2017, 05:56:18 PM
- SolarCoin
- Wings
- Edgeless
- Synereo
- POSW Coin
- LBRY Credits
- E-Dinar Coin
- Ripple
- Round
- Ardor
- Gulden
- NXT
- Stellar Lumens

https://coinmarketcap.com/#USD

According to the above website link the above coins display Total Supply info. meaning they are truly deflationary correct?

What I dont understand is according to the above website PIVX does not not have a total supply meaning its inflationary so how did PIVX break the $1 barrier from few satoshis?

What I like to know is which coins from the above list shall I invest in for long term and is also truly deflationary and will be like the next PIVX. And which coins should I avoid and not touch with a bargepole?

Much appreciated.

207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / What to look out for when choosing an Altcoin? on: April 17, 2017, 04:28:15 PM
Hi,

Apart from Bitcoin in the top 100 which altcoins are best for long term investment?:

https://coinmarketcap.com/#USD

Also from the top 100 list which altcoins are not scam coins or copycat coins?

Which altcoin were pre-mined?

Which altcoins are deflationary?

Are copycat coins and hard fork coins the same?

In the long term investment which is better out of currencies and assets?

For the long term are non-mineable altcoins good to invest in?

So in summary which altcoins from the top 100 list has not been pre-mined, deflationary, mineable, decentralised, not scam/copycat and unique?

Thanks,

208  Economy / Marketplace / Where to invest my Bitcoins? on: April 10, 2017, 11:55:34 PM
Hi,

Hope I posted in the right board and totally new to this investing bitcoins.

I got under 0.1 bitcoin lending on poloniex but rates are too low for a good return.

Where is the best place to Invest bitcoins with the best returns and lowest risk?

Thanks,
209  Economy / Trading Discussion / Best Overall Bot out there? on: April 10, 2017, 09:14:26 PM
Is there universal bots out there that is compatible with most exchanges or is there only specific bots created for a specific exchange?

Is there any free bots?

Im using poloniex and staring at the screen all day isnt healthy lol. Yes you can make more profits with manual trading but you lose more of your health. A person with bad health with $million profits made is pointless for that person if the bad health leads that person to an early grave or something.

I dont mind getting few % returns. Yes manual trading you can get more but you're sacrificing your health and time for it which are 2 things that is more important than money/profits.

Thanks,

210  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Wont high fiat inflation makes huge transaction fees irrelevant? on: April 07, 2017, 10:44:03 PM
Lets say by 2020 the fee costs $100 for a bitcoin coffee transaction. However lets say fiat inflation rises really high that in 2020 a cup of coffee will cost you $10000 in new york. So wouldn't a $100 bitcoin coffee transaction fee be cheap anyway in 2020?

Also when bitcoin goes to the moon and is worth $million each then wont inflation make that million dollar bitcoin useless as a can of coke might cost 40 million dollars due to hyperinflation.

Can bitcoin truly be independent without any association with fiat money whatsoever?

211  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Why I think Bitcoin will never be Mainstream like Visa,Mastercard, Paypal unless on: March 30, 2017, 05:55:05 PM
For bitcoin to truly be $1million per coin it has to go mainstream like its competitors mentioned above.

To go mainstream bitcoin must tick the following checklist:

- Be accessible and easy to use for everyone. At start even I find it hard to understand it and yet I have a college degree in computing. Understanding all these technical terms like blockchain, forks, mathematical 8 decimal places, signatures, 51% attack, SHA-256, QR codes, AML, KYC, keys, backing up, offline cold storage and many more etc. So the average walmart consumer won't have a chance in hell to understand all this lol. Right now I feel bitcoin is a niche market for computer geeks like a digital online currency for geeks/nerds that understand it.

- Be accepted on Amazon as a valid payment method

- Have a fast network like Visa, Mastercard, Paypal to handle its mainstream status if it reaches mainstream.

- No fees for using it to spend for shopping. Visa, Mastercard and Paypal do not charge buyers to use their service.

- Not have the mainstream media news channels defaming it saying criminals use bitcoins. We must have a true for the people establishment that will replace the current establishment so the true establishment can promote it.

- Anything else I missed out on?

Otherwise bitcoin will be a niche market. Kinda like console gamers market and pc gamers market.
212  Economy / Lending / From UK, what is the safest way to lend BTC? on: March 29, 2017, 08:32:59 PM
Looking to lend btc and like to know which way has the most proven track record of borrowers making the repayments? Or is there anything out there that guarantees repayments but at a low interest rate?

Im on Poloniex exchange and see the lending section but can't see borrowers feedback there. Is poloniex good for lending or is there better than it?

I read the stickies here and see the word collateral. As a newbie lender how does this work via escrow? Lets say I want to lend btc to a borrower in USA, the borrower must deliver physical collateral to me first? How does escrow gets updated on this? Regarding physical collateral from USA being shipped to UK wont it takes weeks to wait for delivery and borrower might be put off by a slow loan service?

As a newbie lender I am not understanding and like to know how it works?

Thanks,

216  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / BU Hard Fork or Segwit Soft Fork newbie questions on: March 15, 2017, 01:09:05 PM
When will BU Hard Fork happen, will it happen this year?

I hear that once the hard fork happens bitcoins will split into 2 coins. Does that mean let's say for example I have 1 bitcoin worth $1000 then once the BU hard fork happens then I have 2 coins meaning I have 1 BTC at $1000 then I also have 1 BUTC at $1000 meaning I have extra $1000 for free totallinf $2000? Or will the BU hard Fork crash prices to half price?

Once the BU hard fork happens 1st then does that mean Segwit is automatically cancelled or Vice-Versa?

If BU hard fork fails and is turned into a separate altcoin then does that mean Segwit is the winner. If Segwit wins the democracy then when will segwit be activated?

Thanks,

217  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Future speculation events that affect the Bitcoin price? on: March 14, 2017, 12:29:17 AM
Is there any future events that we know for certain that will affect the bitcoin price apart from the 2020 halving event?
Will UK Brexit affect the price?
Are there any more ETF's coming up?
When will the BU fork will happen? Will it be a soft or hard fork?
When will Segwit happen and does it have to happen this year?
What are the other events of 2017 that I haven't mentioned above that will affect the bitcoin price in anyway high or low?
218  Economy / Exchanges / From UK, Overall cheapest places to buy bitcoins in GBP? on: March 14, 2017, 12:20:21 AM
Is it cheaper to buy bitcoins from p2p websites like localbitcoins or from online exchanges that support GBP currency?

If exchanges then which exchange is the cheapest overall when it comes to fees?

On following website:

http://bittybot.co/uk/

I can see exchanges ask price that is usually cheaper than p2p/individual websites prices however if you include fees associated with exchanges then are exchanges really reflect the cheaper price?
219  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / BU (Bitcoin Unlimited) and ETF Newbie questions on: March 07, 2017, 04:54:18 PM
Is BU a new altcoin that just come out recently or is it a upgrade to the existing BTC coin network?
If upgrade then what is the differences between the 2 and the disadvantages of upgrading to BU? When will the upgrade happen?
Regarding the recent price bubble bursting is this caused by the EFT info leak or threat from BU or the chinese making a statement or anything else?
Will BU will cause confusion do adopters and Investors who want to buy BTC?
Lets say down the line in the future for example in 6 months someone might create SBU (Super Bitcoin Unlimited) and after that someone creates SBUT (Super Bitcoin Unlimited Turbo) and after that someone creates UBHD (Ultimate Bitcoin HD). Then what happens?
