I have tested out RushWallet, it has AMAZING integration with onename. Type someones onename alias in the send too address and it populates with the corrospoding btc address.
Cheers.

Cryptocurrencies will either be widely accepted or useful for microtransactions. They can't be both.
idiotic statement... safecoin will have no transaction fees.

Very cool, although centralized, it will do for now. I would prefer to be able to send bitcoin to an alias but i guess nxt and others will be better for that.

Is there any way for bitcoin to have an alias system?

Florin multi-coin APII am currently working on an API which will enable users to send messages to the Florincoin blockchain. The FLO miners still require Florincoin for their work, so this service will provide the miners with FLO in exchange for the user's other cryptocurrencies. The API will be implemented in a browser-friendly adaption (pictured above) as well as a standard HTTP web service. The purpose of this API is to bootstrap decentralized applications powered by Florincoin. As long as this service or another service running the same free software exists it will be possible for users to engage in applications hosted on the Florincoin blockchain without needing to own any FLO. Of course, fluctuating value will sometimes cause problems, but can be mitigated by charging a premium for payments received in non-blockchain-native currency. Users will find that paying directly in FLO or downloading the Florincoin only client is advantageous in many ways. For general purpose users, the web interface will be a frictionless and user-friendly environment. Hi, metacoin. This is exactly what i am looking for, for a project i am working on. Please keep us updated on your progress. Best Regards.

firstly satoshi does not own 1mill coins. sorry but just no..
between 2009-2011 5 mill coins were produced. and trust me there were more then 5 people mining.. do the maths
secondly lets say satoshi had 500k coins instead (again exaggerated but lets roll with it) would require each coin to be worth $2m each.. or if we use the FUD amount of a 1million coin hoard, it would be $1mill a coin for him to be a trillionaire..
so i dont think so..
i do love it when pople dont think before they make topics like this.. its soo easy to rebuttle the solution and move on with our lives
yes "move on"

Everyone in New York use Darkwallet and Tor. Done.
Yeah, not exactly a great solution for companies who'd like to open shop in NY. They actually reside in New York and then have to comply with the local laws. It'd be an option for NY citizens, but are they affected by those regulations, to begin with? Tell those companies to use Open Bazzar, silk road or register their company in another place where the laws are less of a burden to them.
