81  Economy / Services / Advertise on BED, the Bitcoin Escort Database on: November 16, 2015, 01:56:31 PM
BED is a newly-announced directory where escorts who take Bitcoin may list their services for free. So far, over 100 escorts from around the world are listed.

If you believe such a service will attract significant traffic, I'm offering a special introductory rate on adverts. A related article on my site, in which I interview a beautiful Bitcoin escort, is coming this week.

$50 in Bitcoin for a banner the approximate size of the Xotika.tv ad. $35 gets you a smaller ad, like the CoinRX one. Ads will be displayed once on each "continent" tab until 2016.

Announcing BED, the Bitcoin Escort Database

Looking for an erotic service provider who accepts Bitcoin? Go to BED, the first Bitcoin Escort Database!

Simply browse to your location then click an escort’s name or agency to reach a site with her images and contact details.

Why BED?

Search engines fail at cataloguing social media and online classified adverts, where escorts usually advertise their services. For example, the Google query “Bitcoin escorts” finds articles on Bitcoin’s growing presence in the adult industry - but no actual contacts beyond a couple of UK agencies!

BED currently lists 104 adult female escorts across Asia, Europe, North America and Oceania! South American and African listings are no doubt coming soon. Finally, BED is free to view and listing services is also free!

Improve BED

BED’s funding is derived from limited ads and affiliate links to privacy-respecting Bitcoin exchanges. If you know of a Bitcoin company or exchange which should (not) be included, kindly get in touch.

If you know an escort who’d benefit from listing her services or accepting Bitcoin, please refer her to BED.

If BED proves popular, the intention is to switch to a decentralised platform with expanded functionality. Get in touch if you’d like to help or donate: 19p4sbWiRdTRsimXWtJPphKfo2CcUFeeXf

BED’s Purpose

Incorporating the adult industry will spread Bitcoin among users with an economic interest in maintaining privacy / fungibility. Greater adoption and support for censorship-resistance can only help Bitcoin.

As for helping sex-workers; darknet markets have proven that Bitcoin can achieve significant harm reduction in areas where government prohibition leads to worsened outcomes. Indeed, Bitcoin has already helped numerous escorts following VISA and Mastercard’s embargo of Backpage. Without Bitcoin, many independent escorts would have been forced onto the streets, where the risks are far greater.

Feedback

Feedback regarding the site is welcome!
83  Economy / Services / Re: Writing articles $10 a piece ! on: November 11, 2015, 08:44:45 PM
$0.05 per word sounds pretty hefty if you ask me.. A 500-word article would be $25, and the average Joe types 60-WPM which is about $3.00 per minute.
Do you really think you're worth $180.00 an hour for your writing?

He's writing, not transcribing. I type at 100 WPM but writing a 1000 word article can easily take me 3 to 5 hours, even longer with revisions. Writing about cryptocurrency involves a great deal of thought, research and fact-checking.

I wouldn't lower your prices, srgkrgkj, just keep improving your craft.

for
1) and 2) yes i have my own developer and searching for trader who can help with indicators and logic.
If u have some developer owning some bots i am interested in demo. Please PM me for skype ID.
For 3) I am ready to have escrow but what is the profit margin if sold in SA. I am from India.

Based on the bids I see, the profit margin if sold at current USD price ($255) is currently 10% if sold via centralised exchanges and around 11% if sold through LocalBitcoins. Premiums can rise even higher, 10 - 11% is low to average.
87  Economy / Services / Re: Trader/Crypto-enthusiasts for HIRE! on: October 15, 2015, 10:40:56 AM
At this point of time i have options which i can do:
1) Single coin strategy in a single exchange.

2) Multiple coin strategy in a exchange * Number of exchanges= More arbitrage oppurtunity.

3) Intra country Coin arbitrage.

For the 1st 2 i need logic but for 3rd trusted partner will be suffice condition. For the 1st 2 strategy i am searching for the logic to be implemented hence this thread. The logic will be implemented by manual Trader + Automated Bot (Over Python programming by developer). At this point of time the logic we are thinking needs manual intervention due to external factors like news, trend etc.. More will be done once logic is clear to me.

Understood. Willing to work with you on 3) to make the process as trustless as possible. It should be fairly simple to securely escrow an amount which exceeds the flow of funds for a selected time period.

To clarify 1) and 2), do you have your own Python developer?

So you're looking for a trader who can help you develop and test a bot's trading strategy. The strategy will be based on technical indicators, market news and in the case of 2), coin & exchange arbitrage?

I can ask the crypto traders I know, especially regarding 1). Many of them have developed bots and indicators.
88  Economy / Services / Re: Trader/Crypto-enthusiasts for HIRE! on: October 15, 2015, 08:26:39 AM
well that's impressive.! However we are planning to do arbitrage between coins(probably 4-5 coins) in 3-4 exchanges(those who have API to implement).
It seems your trading is for a single coin approach(Fib levels, EMAs, GodMode and MACD).  Is the logic complex for a bot to implement ?
That's right, it's a medium to long term, single coin strategy. For what you're doing, I'd alter and simplify the trading strategy. Regular arbitrage is about identifying when price divergence between exchanges gets high enough to offset your trading and transfer fees. But it sounds like you're adding an extra layer to that, with multiple coins. I'd need a better understanding before I could make any suggestions.

Regarding arbitrage, my country (South Africa) is known for it's high Bitcoin price. Right now the Preev price is R3,330 and the best ask on the major local exchange (which has an API) is R3,631. This 10% arbitrage opportunity is average, I've seen it go as high as 25%. The premium on Litecoin is even higher, nearly $1 more per coin. So, that's an easy way to make profit if you have a trusted partner this side to handle the banking.
89  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Death of Money on: October 14, 2015, 04:59:59 PM
I don't think that traditional money will die just like that. I think that people all over the world would be lost if that happens in the next 20 years. In a 100 years, this will probably happen.

Until then, blockchain tokens like Bitcoin will need to coexist with the traditional money. Is Bitcoin and money the future you asked? Most definitely in my opinion! Otherwise I wouldn't be here!

Hyperinflation happens very fast so you never know. There are many example where you can see that.
Sure, but fiat's source is tyranny, specifically the power to impose your currency on others and make them play your game. Fiat is a fruit of human nature's darker side; I believe it'll survive as long as we do. The best we can hope for is to force it underground or relegate it to warlords.
90  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN the PORN and GAMBLING future? on: October 14, 2015, 01:53:12 PM
The future of porn and gambling, of course, but don't forget drugs and other contraband. Bitcoin enables a free market, with all that implies.

OP, you pasted this exact same question on Reddit. Are you testing the response to some copywriting or something?

Here's my same answer from there:

Reads like hype. History tends to make fools of those who proclaim the death of monetary forms. Gold was dismissed as a relic of barbarism in the late 19th and early 20th centuries - but look at its price today (spiking as China devalues the Yuan once again).

What does seem to be on the way out is the credibility of fiat currency. Fiat's inflationary and centrally-planned nature will be its undoing.

Wealth will flow into trustless currencies like precious metals and cryptocurrencies, though I doubt fiat will ever entirely disappear. PM is as trustless as it gets and the safest option for long-term wealth storage. Cryptocurrency is superior for all other tradtional monetary functions, plus it allows new functions.

This process will take time however, it's premature to say that decentralised money has replaced other forms or redefined money as "an image."

I need Experienced trader who has some experience of Trading, Coin-enthusiast and following global news and trends in coin developments.
I am developing a project for myself. project is mainly on cloud mining, trading and automatic trading Bot.
I want someone who has:-

1)Experience in trading in crypto-currencies. prefereably more than 10 months. Please show me the proofs also.

2) Know the current trends of the coins upcoming/released, somewhat safe to invest coin, Market, Exchanges and news surrounding these coins.

3) Help me to implement the logic in the Bot for trading.

P.S - I just want your expertise and advise and we will have a contract for this. I may ask question before seeking your advise.

Sounds interesting. Here's how I meet your criteria:

1) I've been trading Bitcoin and alts since Q2 2013. I covered markets for CryptoCoinsNews, mostly technical analysis features. Proof in my sig. I follow Bitcoin and a few alts on a near-daily basis, via TradingView.

2) I stay abreast of crypto news and opinion, mostly via this forum, Reddit and IRC. To further a project of my own, I've been studying the "Bitcoin 2.0" coins recently. Current focus is on BitShares, specifically for its ability to create fiat-pegged coins with multisig functionality.

3) I'm not a coder but I'm experienced in using various indicators. Fib levels, EMAs, GodMode and MACD are my preferred indicators and I can explain their signals.
93  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin Exchange Gemini Approved for Launch in New York on: October 12, 2015, 05:12:38 PM
I expect Gemini to be just another Bitcoin bank, much the same as Coinbase or Circle. The goal of such services, as stated by Jeremy Allaire, is to make Bitcoin "part of the global banking order." Bitcoin was designed as an alternative to that broken, fraudulent system and no amount of FUD about "evildoers" will change that.

Please help me get the word out, to newbies especially, that decentralised exchanges and those which don't demand all your Personally Identifying Information are the only way to go! I wrote a newbie-friendly guide which covers the disadvantages of Bitcoin banks in comparison to services like LocalBitcoins.
94  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Xotika Model Royal Tiffany Discusses the Bitcoin Life on: October 06, 2015, 11:20:08 AM
The moralists should take a deep breath. Consider that RT is both artist and art. She makes herself vulnerable in front of a camera to delight an audience. She obviously takes pains to ensure her fans all feel like kings. Do you bring so much happiness to the world?

Men will spend money on girls getting naked on a webcam, that's a given. Just visit more popular sites like Myfreecams.com and you'll see the insane amount of money the girls are getting tipped. (We're talking Thousands of dollars per session) With bitcoin, atleast she's getting a fairer share than she would on other cam sites. This of course has to be balanced out by the fact that viewership is probably much much lower.

CoinBateman is right, men will always desire beautiful women so let's not make a big deal of it. And I'd say RoyalTiffany made a smart business decision when she joined Xotika. Not only did she make a small fortune in a single hour but she became censorship-resistant. If credit card companies have another freakout and decide to block payments across the adult industry, she's still in business. Given that Bitcoin also lets performers keep the lion's share of earnings, it's on track to become the industry's preferred payment option.

So what's most interesting from a Bitcoin perspective, even if you're not into camsites, is finding out what's attracting early adopters from this niche. People generally far removed from the spheres of coding, economics or finance are finding tangible value in Bitcoin, despite its steep learning curve and uncertain future.

So what makes RoyalTiffany different to so many others? I hope my questions to her made that answer a little less mysterious.

96  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Silk Road by Mountainwolf - what do musicians want from Bitcoin? on: October 02, 2015, 09:18:01 AM
Good job on this article.  I enjoyed reading about how bands and the darkmarket would work with this.

Thanks, dopecoindude. How's it going with your grow?
97  Other / Off-topic / Re: How to motivate women to use Bitcoin? on: October 01, 2015, 09:27:35 PM
Royal Tiffany made 8BTC in about an hour, modelling for Xotika.TV. I'd think that's a pretty strong motivation!

I interviewed her on my blog where she discusses using and working for Bitcoin.

He was warned but kept getting up everyone's nose. Mike has skills which can help Bitcoin but his attitude gets in the way.
99  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Silk Road by Mountainwolf - what do musicians want from Bitcoin? on: October 01, 2015, 08:47:24 PM
That wouldn't be beneficial to people who want to remain somewhat anonymous.  Making them known who they are and personally sending them rewards, not to their wallet, but to that person in general, would not be beneficial by any means.  I think it would be cool enough for the band to offer exclusive material on an album in general, or just give them a discounted rate.

Well... They wouldn't lose pseudonymity, I'm not talking KYC stuff or forms to fill.

More like they sign something with their Bitcoin wallet when they buy an album. Then later on, if they send a signed message from the same wallet, they're entitled to extras. Anyone know a service like that? Best would be an app that handles it at checkout and doesn't need much manual administration.
100  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / The Silk Road by Mountainwolf - what do musicians want from Bitcoin? on: October 01, 2015, 08:26:23 PM
I interviewed Mountainwolf’s Tyler Vaillant about their new album, “The Silk Road.”

Tyler knew a lot about darknet markets and Bitcoin so we discussed that. But he had no direct experience of either, so I showed him how to get a light wallet running and make his album available for Bitcoin. He even put up some exclusive content for people who buy it with Bitcoin.

But can you guys tell me how bands can best keep track of and reward fans who buy their album for Bitcoin? I mean the sales are all on the blockchain already... So the plan is to reward those who buy albums, concert tickets, and merchandise. A year from now or whenever the band releases it's next album, how can we get back in touch with those fans, verify their Bitcoin purchase and offer them exclusive content and discounts?
