Just sent you the payment for 200. I'll PM you with my details. Thanks!

GBP is added  Smiley
Thanks!

If anyone wants a specific currency let me know  Grin
GBP would be awesome. This is nice because I do a lot of browsing on my phone and all of the sites turn to mobile mode which are terrible to use and take ages to find the info you need.
104  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Recieved 50GH BFL Single Today! on: June 18, 2013, 06:46:05 AM
Yeah, I'm not the best photographer, but you nailed it. It was from the bubble wrap and the surface seamed a little porous. I was able to wipe it off with a slightly damp cloth.
I'm glad it's not damaged. Interesting that you're selling it but it probably is the best thing to do to reclaim the money and stress you had to go through with BFL and thinking you'd been scammed for a year.
105  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Recieved 50GH BFL Single Today! on: June 17, 2013, 10:04:47 PM
Looks distinctly... old, scratched and used, not a nice polished surface. Maybe it's just the photos...

Have fun mining! Make sure to update with power usage.
106  Other / Meta / Re: Forbidding useless posts when user has a paid signature on: June 17, 2013, 09:44:34 PM
No need for that.
Profile -> Look and Layout Preferences -> Don't show users' signatures.
Good to know! Even easier.
I guess if it becomes a problem the users giving away the money would probably just not give money out to such users.
Not necessarily. It benefits them if their ads are more conspicuous (though it can have an inverse effect if they become annoying).
I just meant that the users offering it just now would put the forum first so would support the forum if this was an issue and make it clear that they wouldn't be paid if they were not posting constructive messages. But it does support them if they are more obvious.
107  Other / Meta / Re: Forbidding useless posts when user has a paid signature on: June 17, 2013, 04:21:44 PM
I don't think it is much of a problem. I also don't think there is much way of stopping it.

If it annoys you, just install ad-block and make a rule for the signatures to block them. Since only a couple of people do it at the moment and they do it with very distinctive colours and codes this should be easy.

I guess if it becomes a problem the users giving away the money would probably just not give money out to such users.

On a related note, I found silver round sticky labels - I only found 25mm diameter (1") ones but I think they would look better than white ones:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Gold-Silver-Round-Sticky-Metallic-A4-Laser-Printer-Labels-25mm-Diameter-x-1400-/170816405658?pt=UK_BOI_Packing_Postal_Supplies_Labels_LE&var=470094260858&hash=item27c573809a
They look good. They don't say they're compatible with inkjet printers but I'm sure they'll work alright with them.

Cheers. I found a supply of round 29mm diameter white sticky labels on A4 sheets (54 per sheet) for a reasonable price so I'll be ordering those to send out with the coins. It will be possible to print QR codes with private keys on them fairly easily. I will try to develop a simple program to generate a PDF with QR codes and output a list of addresses.

Yeah, great choice. Thanks for the contest!
111  Economy / Goods / Re: [Group Buy] Casascius Aluminium Coins - 10 coins for 0.04 BTC (UK/EU/WW) on: June 15, 2013, 03:17:42 PM
Awesome. I was literally going to do this next week. I'll take 200 if you don't mind. I'm UK based.

I'll pay next Wednesday or Thursday if that's alright with you. I just have a pretty busy week coming up.

Also if this is really popular I don't want to be taking any away from anyone else so I'd settle for 100. 50 if I was really pushed but then I might just buy a bag for myself.
112  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: veteranBtc, RTaki Scam (& majinx) on: June 15, 2013, 02:03:18 PM
I see that veteranBTC is active on the forums once again after running away with your money. Just wondering if you ever got it back? If not he should really get a scammer tag.
113  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [1 BTC Bounty] What is Bitcoin? on: June 15, 2013, 10:59:39 AM
"Bitcoin is a decentralised peer to peer cryptocurrency" is how I start.

The interested people will ask about the various parts of the sentence, what does 'crypto' mean or what does 'decentralised' mean and then I will elaborate.

Those not so interested will just hear the end bit, 'currency' and ask how it can have value and then I'll ask them how anything has value. They might not even ask anything but will probably have taken something from that sentence.

I also carry a physical bitcoin and give it to people to look at if they are interested and explain how it works if they ask.

I know some of the answers are much better but I just thought I'd throw my technique in there!
114  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Large bitcoin mining farm mining 4 blocks a day having made 1600BTC on: June 12, 2013, 06:43:54 AM
Sending your successful block through tor must slow down the confirmation of the block a fair bit. There is a good chance a few of his blocks have been orphaned because of using it. There must be some reason to hide behind tor other than just to be mysterious. I know that the bitcoin botnet owner that posted on reddit a while back used tor to do everything through, control the bots, mine through etc. But the bot net must have grown considerably to be going this quickly if it is him. Could be a similar idea though.
115  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Large bitcoin mining farm mining 4 blocks a day having made 1600BTC on: June 11, 2013, 10:06:59 PM
I know who it is Smiley    Good work detectives.

I bet you don't know, as the block are coming from all around the world.

I know.
If you have anything constructive to add it would help. If not I'll just presume you're using this as a way of advertising your business.
116  Economy / Marketplace / Re: The 'Trust' button on: June 11, 2013, 10:02:49 PM
Thanks Peter! My search terms weren't good enough. Also meta would have been a good place to start!
117  Economy / Marketplace / [Solved] The 'Trust' button on: June 11, 2013, 04:39:35 PM
Hi.

I've tried to search for this but I can't seem to find it. It must be somewhere. But it seemed that this 'trust' page appeared a month or so ago and it wasn't really explained as far as I know.

Could someone explain to me how the levels work etc?

Thanks.
118  Economy / Goods / Re: [SMALL] Group Buy for new Casascius Product? on: June 11, 2013, 03:45:51 PM
Yes, but maybe we could combine this groubuy with a groupbuy of such stickers?
Well I will personally go to wallmart buy some printer stickers for $1 and print various sizes of things on to them to get the right size and then cut them out. I don't know what kind of stickers you are thinking of. Ones that are pre-cut to the correct size? Or holographic ones? I doubt he'd sell those and I don't think that's what he was meaning by make your own.
119  Economy / Goods / Re: [SMALL] Group Buy for new Casascius Product? on: June 11, 2013, 03:07:55 PM
I also got an addition to that: Mike says that it is possible to put stickers on the back. Where could we get such stickers?
I think he means make your own.
120  Economy / Goods / Re: [SMALL] Group Buy for new Casascius Product? on: June 11, 2013, 02:17:59 PM
What's the situation? I thought we could easily order the 500 Smiley
I assumed the OP was going to sort it out. I couldn't be bothered with the hasstle to set up the trade but would happily be involved in it.
