Had a smooth 2BTC trade with tuckertz1992 this afternoon. Thanks.
122  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Large bitcoin mining farm mining 4 blocks a day having made 1600BTC on: June 10, 2013, 09:14:23 PM
Today it's only one IP: 98.246.202.92, with 4 mined blocks going to the same address 1BxD2VLE95n7ZeVJSy3uoiJ5WdR72jWj5f and that address is holding 2,045.00200351 BTC!
Oregon?
And then 2 from the same address in LA. Interesting. I wonder if they are purposefully blocking blockchain.info from connecting to them so that their location is obscured.

I'M CALLING BULLCHIT AN THIS THREAD~
=I FOLLOWED THE INSTRUCTIONS AND DID'NT RECIEVE ANYTHING(YET)!~WHAT GIVES DUDE? ;-)TIA!!!
You are hugely impatient when getting free things. Try putting your payout address into his website, the reason you are getting the free bitcoins in the firstplace. Perhaps he has a script set up.

You can't be lucky for a month. A pool wouldn't have all the funds in one address. The IPs it's coming through don't mean that it's a pool, just that various nodes are sending the confirmed block to blockchain.info rather than the miner.

Of course they do, how do you think ozco.in lost all it's pool funds back in April, someone stole the wallet.dat

How do they pay their miners then?! They surely have to have transactions going out too. Maybe all the miners are just being really altruistic!

There seems to be a suspiciously high number of first posters wanting to take 0.001BTC off of you Stunna!  Cheesy

Creating useless new topics before posting in this thread would have been better ?
Perhaps some people have decided that it's quicker and easier to get free bitcoins by creating multiple new forum accounts and posting here rather than click on 50 ads and eventually have clicked enough to get sent some free coins (0.00001) at the other free bitcoin sites.

I'm not aiming the post at anyone in particular, it just seems like this may be happening. I'm sure there are honest people too who just like to lurk and only post when there is something useful in it for them. Maybe you are one of those people.

it was meant to be funny jjeeeeez
I did find it funny! That's not to say it isn't weird.

Also I can't get webGL but isn't that just a node tinus42? So it may not be mining it might just be a really well connected node in a data centre or something. I could be wrong.

Aynstein, that is the most bizarre post I've read in a while... A very cryptic way of saying who you think is mining!

I've been looking at where the IPs are generally located and I don't think you can say anything for sure. I just think the mining operation is a fairly well connected node (but not connected to blockchain). You get some looking as if they've come out of America, some from Europe, some from Russia and a decent number from Japan and China.

sorry. just a hunch. i mean there's cloud hashing and the ones already mentioned here.

so who else?  and the thing is, its there and its real. so yeah, cloudhashing is one of the candidates imo.
No need to apologise, I'm just wondering if anyone actually knows. Speculation is good too though and it seems like a good theory. I'd have thought they'd be publicising their power though to encourage people to buy into their scheme.
131  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Large bitcoin mining farm mining 4 blocks a day having made 1600BTC on: June 08, 2013, 11:40:04 AM
its cloudhashing's test run.
$160,000 test run?! Are you basing this on anything or is that just a hunch?
132  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Large bitcoin mining farm mining 4 blocks a day having made 1600BTC on: June 08, 2013, 08:20:24 AM
Maybe it's the Winklevii douches mining instead of buying. Summers Eve probably had a sale on ASIC hardware.
Haha! I like this theory the best!
133  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Large bitcoin mining farm mining 4 blocks a day having made 1600BTC on: June 08, 2013, 07:17:37 AM
Back mining. Maybe yesterday was an unlucky day.

These guys have been mining since April so I don't think it was part of this spike. This spike is just the line from now on!
134  Economy / Lending / Re: GIVING OUT LOANS TO NEWBIES AND SCAMMERS! on: June 07, 2013, 10:24:00 PM
I got scammed out of 2.25BTC a while back so if you send me 2.25BTC I'll happily give you my forum account and make a new one! This will ease my frustration at the world since the karma will be restored!

My address is in my signature! I'll send you my forum password once I get the coins!

Thanks in advance.

That doesn't say anything about a large mining operation. Maybe he discusses it in the IRC rooms.

Anyway it looks like I've scared them away from mining to this address. Maybe it's just a coincidence. Anyway it's a shame. I was enjoying seeing their coins go up so quickly!
137  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Large bitcoin mining farm mining 4 blocks a day having made 1600BTC on: June 07, 2013, 02:14:49 PM
Its ArtForz.
What are you basing that on if you don't mind me asking?!
138  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Large bitcoin mining farm mining 4 blocks a day having made 1600BTC on: June 07, 2013, 09:21:33 AM
Whoever this is, had an initial capital and either purchased OR made himself an ASIC and is reaping his success. Jealous? Yes, I am, but I am neither smart to design my own hardware nor do I have an initial investment to purchase the hardware.
Yeah it does seem that way. I just wish I'd had some more money last year to buy a bit more than I did but there's no point wishing your life away.

I'm just surprised whoever it is hasn't been cashing some of it out already. They are clearly not only big investors but also very confident in the bitcoin protocol which is nice.
139  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Large bitcoin mining farm mining 4 blocks a day having made 1600BTC on: June 07, 2013, 09:05:42 AM
time for some descentralization on mining?
I guess it is a good thing if it becomes more and more decentalised. We probably don't need to worry too much about them getting too powerful. There are so many reasons why that wouldn't happen. I'll keep an eye out and see if they ever decide to transer any of those coins!
140  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Large bitcoin mining farm mining 4 blocks a day having made 1600BTC on: June 07, 2013, 08:57:35 AM
A private pool?
A pool would have transactions going from that address to multiple others though. If it was a private pool owned by some people who are all very trusting of the one account holder to pay when they needed then perhaps. Or some variation on that. Some family members. I feel it's more likely to be one group though.
