41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Telegram is trash on: October 06, 2020, 05:07:25 AM
Telegram itself is not trash, there might be a ton of crap Telegram groups, but that does not mean that Telegram is trash. Would be like saying Facebook or Twitter is trash just because there are a lot of trash groups on those that isn't worth following, that's just silly in my opinion.
42  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Gold : Make Bitcoin Decentralized Again on: October 05, 2020, 08:45:30 PM
Is there any new update from BTG dev team?  Please public some good news

There is practically no updates on this thread, and for that matter there is no posting activity on this thread. By looking at coinmarketcap everyone can see that the price of Bitcoin Gold is going nowhere, in fact is has been slipping for a long time, so that does not bold well at all for the future of Bitcoin Gold.
43  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HOW CAN ONE KNOW A FAKE AIRDROP? on: October 01, 2020, 03:39:00 PM
To tell you the truth, it can be hard sometimes to tell the good ones from the fake airdrops. I look for a well written whitepaper, if they don't have this you shouldn't bother by signing up or doing tasks for them. Often they only wants you maillist, or your twitter, or your facebook details.
44  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do people still fall victim to obvious scam? on: October 01, 2020, 03:35:14 PM
Most people who got scammed by this kind of scheme are those who are new in the crypto industry, but some old people in the crypto industry still got scammed because they are still hoping for easy money with huge returns. This kind of scheme easily attracts the greedy one's.

These scams that scam newcommers does NOT give a good first impression to new people getting started with investing in crypto, and worse they will tell their friends that they got scammed. This in turn will put some people away from getting into cryptocurrencies in general, that's not a good thing.
45  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: cryptcurrency arbitrage any ideas? on: September 29, 2020, 08:06:41 PM
arbitrage still good?  any comments?

any suggestions for countries like where it would be good like to buy and where to sell to reap a profit?

Arbitrage trading still good so far, but there are many things you should know before you start. I see @ryzaadit already gives the point that you should concern before you start. Besides that, you should choose the coin which doesn't have a long time to confirm, and have a good move at that time, so when you start to arbitrage, the coin can arrive in the destination exchange at the right time. But above all, you need to check the price on every exchange, and if you can see there is a big gap between one exchange to another exchange, I think you can do arbitrage, but of course, you need to calculate everything before you start.
I have tried arbitrage trading and had very careful calculation plans for myself but it is completely inconsistent with the present time.
I have calculated the sending and receiving times of those altcoins, plus analyzing the volume, ... but it depends on a lot of other things. especially withdraw fee for small exchanges, they have very high fee about 2 - 5 $ / order, which makes me lose my profit. What's even worse is that the price is only skewed for low volume exchanges, so using arbitrage will not be really profitable, it just takes time.

Another thing to keep in mind is that you will be spending a ton of time following the exchanges you watch. This can be considered work, you might just as well get a real job instead of sitting infront of your computer trying to make a few bucks trading arbitrage.
46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Are you going to buy into these high rising defi coins now? on: September 29, 2020, 08:02:31 PM
Although all of them has good potential cause those are already listed on big exchange like binance, kucoin.but don't have any plan to buy as i got disappointed after seeing those defi tokens fall down around 65-70% from all time high. Especially I was looking about dia, but i shocked seeing the drop from $5 to around at $1 within 2/3 days. So I'm not interested to buy those high rising tokens, maybe after next bearish

When a token drops from $5 to around at $1 within a few days, that tells us it was mostly just hot air. As we all know hot air cools down and that will leave you holding the bag. If a token is being pumped and it has no real world use case, then it will tank for sure. Dont be the one holding the bag.
47  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: RTX 3070 should offer RTX 2080 Ti level performance for $599 = Game changer? on: September 29, 2020, 06:02:54 AM
Has anyone been able to test this yet, anyone got their hands on an engineering sample or something. Something tells me we can simply take the RTX 3080 hashrate and calculate 3080 cuda cores minus 3070 cuda cores, then you will get the RTX 3070 hashrate. What do you think?
48  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Im planning to invest in Ethereum. Is this a good plan? on: September 28, 2020, 09:47:37 PM
Sure, you can invest in Ethereum, but that will not get you rich in a hurry. If you want to make big money and also take on a lot of risk, there is the lesser know and newer projects that can go ten times or a hundred times. Maybe the smart thing to do is to diversify, some ETH and some X crypto.
49  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do people still fall victim to obvious scam? on: September 28, 2020, 09:44:06 PM
Obviously at the stage in crytocurrency people should not fall for such obvious scams. It was in the early stage where one has little or no knowledge about crytocurrency that people were scammed .Nowadays many people know about so many scams projects so it is hardly enough to cheat anymore unless Newcomers that have little knowledge about it.
Yes, there are a lot of frauds even in large ICOs. I remember the Envion scam project. I invested the money, but did not receive it back, although there was a lot of hype and the "project" itself raised more than $ 100 million. It seems like a year ago some kind of legal proceedings were initiated, where it was possible to return the money, but, as it turned out, this is for those who paid with bank cards. And people like me got nothing. It's all cheating and a lottery.

It's almost strange to read of people who get scammed by scammy ICO's. Everyone need to do better research before putting their hard earned funds into something that will leave them holding the bag. Scam ICO's have been around for many years now and should surprise noone.

52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it getting late to buy crypto again? on: September 12, 2020, 09:56:18 PM
I would say so yes. You should have bought when the corona virus got people scared back in march and liquidated a lot of their crypto assets, dropping Bitcoin below 4000 dollars. That was a golden opportunity to buy in on the cheap, now not so much, now is the time to take profit.
53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do people still fall victim to obvious scam? on: September 12, 2020, 09:51:57 PM
People still fall victim to obvious scam because of mainly two things - ignorance and greed. I've seen this again and again over the years.

It's probably not going to go away any time soon, newb plebs keep coming in in hords and they lack the experience to spot an obvious scam and get scamed.
54  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Im planning to invest in Ethereum. Is this a good plan? on: September 12, 2020, 04:24:40 PM
many think ethereum investing is the best choice so far but in my opinion it is a risky choice Due to the fact that Ethereum prices are very difficult to rise
when it increases only briefly and falls again the decline will last a long time, that's what i saw

That is so true, it becomes a numbers game. When back in 2015 and 2016, Ethereum had a much lower market capitalization and THEN it was a good buy and easier to move upwards in price. Now on the other hand the market cap has gone up so much it can't really budge much higher easily.
55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New coin for coronavirus on: September 12, 2020, 04:20:52 PM
In my opinion, coins about coronavirus are a joke and there are even some projects with the concept of a coronavirus token that are ultimately scams. This is one step to attract people's attention to investing, but the concept is not clear. Therefore, we should be careful in investing in coins about coronavirus so that we don't get caught up in losses.

It's a given such "projects" are scams, what else would they be. No serious project would set themselves up with such a ridiculous name. For all we know it could be a 14 year old with nothing better to do than to try to make a few dollars by copying and pasting with minor differences a new coin with a famous name.
56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: New NVIDIA Geforce RTX 30 series GPUs on: September 12, 2020, 04:16:30 PM

I saw this graphic floating around as well. Anyone else find any other info or alternative validations?

We will have to wait for the cards to come out and specs to be officially posted by Nvidia before we can say for sure. The only validations I would trust a hundred percent would be from the company itself, wount be that long to wait for propper confirmation now, just a few more days.
57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Im planning to invest in Ethereum. Is this a good plan? on: September 11, 2020, 06:10:27 AM
Well if you think it was a good plan to invest etherium so keep it up and then make sure that you will earn from etherium.
And not only you a newbie doing thing like this investing some different altcoins in the market and choosing etherium it was a better to choice to hold and trade on the time for etherium going high the price.
Lol Ethereum is one of the most gainer these days(of course aside from Defi coins) Look how ETH gaining green now compared to Bitcoin.
EThereum Moves up more than 100% ffrom the Beginning of this year meaning there are more to come.
The 2.0 version are soon to come so meaning there are some chances that this soon we will be getting what we want from ETH.

Hard to tell. All the hype around the 2.0 version may have already pushed up prices of Ethereum somewhat, there might be a typical buy the rumor and sell the news situation. Also Ethereum mostly follows Bitcoin's price movements. Since Bitcoins rise has stalled, so will Ethereum's price.
58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [AMD] New AMD RX Graphics Cards of 2019 - RX 5700 / XT, RX 600 on: September 11, 2020, 06:05:58 AM
my gigabyte 5700 xt was doing 54 out of the box...even undervolted it does well, maybe if there was nvidia driver on the pc try to ddu, also if the miner command line has intensity settings maybe delete them

Done all that DDU stuff multiple times in slightly different ways, still no change... also tried playing with intensity. I'm going to wipe my rig clean and install win10(currently running win7 but I doubt this is the cause of my problem) and try it from scratch. I'm starting to think it has something to do with OpenCL.

Do miners see your cards as 2 or as 4 cards? Recently, miners started to see my RX580 as two openCL cards, both mining at exactly half hashrate,
but also overheating while doing so. No amount of DDU or reinstalling drivers helped

Maybe it's a driver issue, what driver version from AMD are you using when that happened? A lot of people are complaining about poor and buggy drivers from AMD in the last few years. Maybe trying a different driver version would help getting rid of the problem. What do you think?
59  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New coin for coronavirus on: September 11, 2020, 05:58:48 AM
LOL, coin for COVID ?
what does that suppose to mean? some coin every one has he/she would get vaccinated  Grin
I would buy it if it went to Coinbase , if not just another scam!
You think there is a chance that it is not going to be "just another scam" coin?  Lol, why do you even have doubts? Of course it is another shit coin that is just being pumped and dumped. Only idiots will invest on those coins. Others will try to take advantage of the pump and dump. Sadly, if anyone invests in this coins, all they do is lose their money and also "encourages" more scammers to come up with these shit coins.

I noticed a long time ago that if developers are going to create a good project with great prospects, they create a completely new project. If developers just want to make money and even agree to fraud, they use a popular theme and try to attract people to it.

And that is happening with most of these corona virus-related coins. A lot of them already exited. And I guess there will be more to come. If a covid-related project is anonymous and aiming for noble mission, expect that they are here to scam naive users. If their intentions are legit, they will disclose themselves so people can actually reach them. But nope, most of these projects are anonymous. So better stay away from them as they are just using the current situation to grab money from gullible users.

Nothing new under the sun there, what I don't understand is that although most people understand it's a get rich quick scheme for the devs, it's a losing game for those that pay to buy those coins. One would think people have learned their lessons regarding this, but there always are new bagholders.
60  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: New NVIDIA Geforce RTX 30 series GPUs on: September 11, 2020, 05:54:52 AM
It will depend on how things are going to be after 17 september, rx 5700 will only have a price drop if nvidia launches something better at lower price, as soon as the 3060 is launched then yes, how much is yet to be seen, to me 5700 $250 is a fair price at moment.

There might be a flood of used 5700 and 5700xt when and if the 3060 comes out and it proves to be much better cost/wattage. Also I would expect big Navi to put the 5600 and 5700 series in the dust when comparing wattage draw mining Ethereum and clones. Exiting times ahead guys.
