My Second Book Thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5075630

Hi All
My name is Pablo and I am the Author of "Crypto Survival", a book focused on why "long lastingness" is the key feature to look for when considering a new crypto investment. My first book Crypto Success has been reviewed almost twenty times and has a 4 star rating on Amazon. Much like my first book, I will be giving this book away under a creative commons license at the links below. If you enjoy the work, please take a moment to leave a review on Amazon.

Some background on me:
I have been working in crypto since 2011 and I have been an active altcoin investor since 2012. I work in crypto full time and I like writing books on crypto investment to flesh out my ideas and share with the community. There is no "up-sell" or "paid" service.

I will be sending FREE print or kindle copies to the first 5 people who leave a review on Amazon, it doesn't matter if it is a positive or negative review. I will also provide a FREE consultation, you can ask me as many questions as you like about our method of selecting and investing in cryptocurrencies.

Just PM me the link to your review and I will take care of the rest,

Reviews of my previous book Crypto Success:

“Packed with suggestions and insight into the Cryptocurrency markets. This book is an easy read and offers suggestions for where to get more current information as well as what to consider when investing in a new currency.“
“I would give this book 10 stars if it was an option. This is a GREAT book for anyone beginning in the crypto world. This is the 6th or 7th "beginner" crypto book I have read and this book covers certain aspects of the crypto world a beginner needs to know that I haven't seen other books cover. Really, you need to buy this book before you invest any significant money in any altcoins."

Just a reminder, that an Amazon Review, good or bad, is very helpful!

There are times that people come to ask questions on investment and the likes, although i have not read it, but i plan to do that and I have bookmarked it.
Materials like this should be very useful, to almost everyone i the crypto space and not just to those that are just coming in newly.
Personally, i have always longed for things like this.

Glad to help Smiley.

Glad to see you still rocking and rolling, my friend! A shitty year 2018 was, let's hope 2019 is better! Didn't you have a "crypto business" for a while? What happened with that?

Thank you! Agree on your wishes for a 2019.

Had a couple of crypto businesses, some ran their course, some were sold. In the end the return per hour of work is much, much higher, for an intelligent crypto investor. Of course if a new opportunity comes up, Id be happy to start another business Smiley.

Hug,

Friends,
I have been busy working on a new book the past several months and it will be released free of charge in a few weeks. I will start a new topic when the time comes and will make a pastebin link available as well as the source file.

Over the past two and a half years, Crypto Success, has sold successfully and been distributed free of charge many thousands of times. This has encouraged me to develop another work, a bit more focused on theory and application.

Please sign up below if you would like to be among the first to hear of the upcoming release.

Your website doesnt look very professional. Also you dont have any positive trust here on bitcointalk. First I though you are not so trusted, but after I saw the Pablo review I understood that you really are trusted. Still, I think you should develop the webiste more because as I said it is just a simple website and at first impression it doesnt look the best.Wish you good luck to your project

Agreed. It needs improvement. These guys are honest but they need to work on the presentation and development a bit. I think that as it takes of they will likely improve it.

Hi All,
I am the former operator of Bitsumo.com, a well reviewed site similar to DashBargain.com. I would like to say I know the owners of DashBargain.com personally and that they are trustworthy and effective people. I will be using their service on a regular basis.

You are lucky, that was quite shitty to recover from for me.

Yes, it was definitely a learning experience. I no longer invest in any project where the creators are anonymous. In all fairness it was a good con, I actually had a contractor look at the code and it was not cloned but rather written form scratch as far as we could tell (although concepts were borrowed from several different alts) so that made it look legit.

Hasn't Vanilla made a couple of comebacks since then though? Did you sell in a slump?

Hey Pablo,

I am not on amazon but I would like to thank you for this nice insight. I really liked it and if you ever create another (e)book (payed or free) please let me/us know. Thank you so much from germany/thailand.  Smiley

Thank you for your kind note Smiley. I am glad you enjoyed the book, I have planned a sequel and will definitely release it as freeware when its done.

Please feel free to reach out if you need anything or just wanna chat about crypto Smiley.

Pablo.

Too bad fible1 also got rocked by John Connor, same as many of us!

That is half accurate. Initially I bought into vanilla, but I liquidated my holdings at a decent profit prior to collapse. The reason was two fold, I found out that John told some people that he knew me personally from the Butter-Bot project, which I knew for a fact was not true and then he deleted a post I made about this and some other observations I made and booted me from the forums, he also stopped answering my PM's so that triggered me getting out.

I actually learned a lot form that experience and I was lucky not to loose money.

Here is a small sample of my liquidation dates for Vanilla (the full list, because of the way Polo does it, is actually several pages long):

Is anyone aware of when the genesis block will be launched (not the ICO)?

Also, has anyone tried out testnet? I am trying to get an invite as I am pretty good at breaking things, but I would like some feedback on the client and implementation if anyone has already given it a go. Is there a GUI? What RPC commands are there? Etc.

Thanks in advance.

Do you have an ETA on when you plan to release a mainnet token?

Hey Guys,
New to the community here, two quick questions:

1. Is there a SECURE paper wallet generator for main net (or will there be?).
2. Besides the seed, what else do you need to back up to create a back up? And how/where do you do it?

Thank you,
    Pablo.

There is no paper wallet generator yet.
The seed is not enough because blackbytes are stored only on your devices, not in the public database.
For both backup and security, set up multisig wallet with redundancy, 2-of-3 is best if you have 3 devices on platforms that we support.

Hey,
Thanks for getting back. Just to be clear, if I do not have any black byte TX's the seed is enough to back up all my regular TX's from device to device?
It would be enough if we had an easy way to import the seed.

Quote
Am I understanding correctly that in the case of blackbytes your solution is to have redundant access?
Correct.

Quote
Final question: Do you plan to have a marketplace by the December 25th launch, or will trades be OTC? I am interested in acquiring some if possible but I do not invest in BTC, only altcoins,.
About exchanges, not clear yet.  I'll announce if there are any confirmed agreements with exchanges.

Thanks for helping me out.

So currently how would you import the seed? Is it hard or impossible? I am trying to gauge how to secure my investment on release as I am not convinced by the redundant access theory TBH. A secure paper wallet generator would really solve most of my issues.

Thank you for you time Smiley.

Pablo.

It is possible but rather involved.
One way to restore from the seed is by installing the headless wallet https://github.com/byteball/headless-byteball.  It stores the seed in a file keys.json in its data directory.  Run the wallet once to see the format of the file (it'll generate new keys the first time it runs), then delete all data and recreate keys.json from your saved seed.  It should see the balance, then you can move the entire balance from the headless to a GUI wallet via chat commands.

Perfect, thank  you!

Pablo.
