641  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Maharlika Money on: January 13, 2020, 09:06:38 AM

642  Local / Pamilihan / Re: BSP will be selling P10,000 and P500 comemorative coins [70th Anniversary] on: January 13, 2020, 08:00:00 AM
643  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if Bitcoin never reaches a new ATH? on: January 12, 2020, 03:22:42 PM
Nobody knew that bitcoin will be 19000$ on 17 Dec 2019 and nobody knows when bitcoin will cross this ATH again. I agree with OP that if bitcoin never reaches its ATH again, it will be a total loss for people who are HODLing. Only those are HODLing till now who have bought bitcoin at higher prices. I don’t think anyone who bought bitcoin at lower prices will be waiting for ATH.
Agree I think at anytime bitcoin could easily reach or surpass this all-time high price in the market since the bitcoin now has a bigger community and a lot of big companies that use it as an asset I think investing in bitcoin this days is much profitable than the past year. I guess the best thing to do is just to hold bitcoin for long term investment since the bitcoin slowly is getting a lot of potential in increasing its market price and being a top digital currency in the world.

645  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Day Trading or Long-term Hodl? on: January 10, 2020, 11:50:35 PM
Before now, I have always been getting it wrong about cryptocurrency. A friend recently opened my eyes to see how I could have increase little coins I have to fortune overtime by day-trading. But I am no that type. I had always thought I could only make fortune in crypto by hodling a certain coin for long.

13 months ago, I bought SNTR worth about $100 hoping that in few months I'll wallow in milliions of dollars like Ian Balina , but the reverse is often the case in the subsequent ones I bought. Sad fact, $100 worth of SNTR 13 months ago now less than $2.

Recently, I watched several videos of how to analyse a coin or token to invest in, gained some good knowledge of the basics. I discovered day-trading tokens like DX token and AWC could have actually make me what I hope to be If i had the right information. But its never too late. Yet, I am drowned in mentality that hodling for long can only be the fortune I hope for. Reason I need help.
I think when it comes to altcoins it is more likely to hold for just a short time investment since this altcoin is great for day trading in the market and you could easily get a profit daily. Also, you could try popular altcoins in the market that you could hold for long term investment since it already has a big market and investors.

Based on what have happened from 2018 to 2019, I have come to a conclusion that; holding for a long term will make more profits than to trade, except if the trader actually know what he's or she's doing in the world of cryptocurrency. Am a good long term holder and partly a trader.
I don't agree I have altcoins investment in poloniex.com and year have past doesn't really make a good profit, in my opinion, considering it takes years of investment.
646  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: High price but no volume on: January 10, 2020, 11:42:57 PM
It's back to square one if you are holding a coin or token for long term and finally altcoin season comes and the token or coin surge in value but has no trading volume on exchange, all your efforts and pain while holding is total waste, do not hold tokens or coins that have no demands, real use cases are what makes them very demanding
This is more like a classic trick that they do back in the past years in new token in a certain exchanger you could easily to this low volume transactions so that the token is going to get a high price in the market but not really because you cannot sell the token if it doesn't have a great volume so it was just a fake market to make it look like the token market price is increasing.
647  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How much should i trust crypto Youtuber? on: January 10, 2020, 11:34:49 PM
They really aren't accurate at all so why would you want to trust them that much. You must be careful of trusting one because all of them have been depending on their own opinions and sometimes it's their emotion that they are basing.
I agree more like a suggestion from this youtube. I think they haved experience in what they are doing like for example in trading or in a certain website but a lot of times they are just getting paid to make videos and if not I think the experience they have is just too little to make a tutorial.

Most of the cryptocurrency youtubers are just there for the power of influence because if they got the audience then they can easily shill the coin that they have invested in. You can trust them but you should also verify all the things that they are saying or should I say selling to you so you can make sure that everything is legit and at the end, you should have the capability to do the judgement and decision by yourself and not by depending to them.
Yeah, there are a lot of people that are getting scam on the internet because of this YouTuber that promoting a website that is not legit but they are paid by this website to make a video so I would not trust them so much.
648  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why only 6.2 percent of American citizens own Bitcoin? on: January 10, 2020, 11:24:18 PM
If you are worried about the percentage then you have to understand that 6.2% is not a small number if it's true, for me, It's a huge number, one thing you have to consider that most of the Bitcoin user doesn't say about this system to the people because of some legal aspect, you have to take another thing that, American people don't need to get involved in this system because their currency is the strongest currency in the world, so I haven't expected such type of ratio, I think Bitcoin is much more popular outside the USA, but there is still a lot of chances to get popular in this area.
I guess it was already a lot of people but comparing it to a number of Americans that is only a small percentage. I've seen a lot of people overseas that own a bitcoin. I think if we are going to get the percentage of American that know bitcoin we could easily get a high percentage in the Americans but surely there is only a small percentage that own bitcoin since a lot of people is not going to put money in the line or in the risk in cryptocurrency.
649  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Real reasons to Why do you gamble? on: January 10, 2020, 11:13:08 PM

To be exact, people are in gambling for the reason that they would like to win and have some money.
That's the main reason for majority of people but not for everyone though, because there are people who do have a lot of money to burn in gambling and they just find gambling the best way to enjoy their life even if they have to lose but they will never lose more than they can burn.

That was crazy actually if we've been addicted to gambling just for stress reliever, having fun or social engagement. What makes us relieve from the stress in gambling, if we are able to hit the jackpot prize.
Believe it or not there are people who consider gambling as a stress reliever, it may sound weird but those rich people have the capacity to gamble and lose money just to socialize with friends.

It's the same as spending some money in town for us poor folks. We go out, grab a drink at the bar for 4 times the price of it made at home, eat in a fancy restaurant.
Rich people had it all. They drink expensive alcohol and eat expensive food all the time. They have to spend much more money to get excited.
Agree it was just for entertainment for the rich people but more like a vices since this is where rich people certainly become addicted in playing a game or betting and this is where they lost a big amount of money.
650  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Online] Misclicks - Let's hear the stories good, bad, funny on: January 10, 2020, 11:02:11 PM
There were pretty good and funny stories when I was playing Dice game in a casino site. Initially I thought of playing a manual bet with a lower multiplier and either hitting high or low would probably decide the winnings. But instead of going over with a manual bet I got to hit the auto bet and all of a sudden the site started playing the dice of high and low  Grin Had 0.001 to play the game and once I got to hit the auto bet the total earnings went upto as high as 0.003 and I have received a profit of as high as 3x from the investment.

On the contrary, I got to play a manual bet with 0.01BTC with a pretty low multiplier which had a winning percentage of 88% and when I got to hit the manual dice button I lost the game  Grin Misclick autobet had a higher winning than the one which was decided by me! It was quite interesting for me when an automated bet yielded higher profit than a manual bet which had quite higher winning chances.
Kinda like a fortune in disguise  Grin I think I was just too careful and can't afford to lose money so I think this is not going to happen to me.

I mostly play at crypto-games.net. Fortunately i never faced such problems of misclicking since you have to confirm your bet twice if your bet amount is high before being able to place a bet there. Though misclicks for smaller amounts did happen. If it was a loss, would be a bit disappointed but would laugh it off later.

It happened to me a lot of times but usually in a low bet since I mostly play in a 1-10$ bets only but I think I always do mistakes in a click.
651  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto Gambling on Mobile Devices on: January 10, 2020, 10:39:54 PM
~snip~
I think I don't usually gamble in android or mobile devices because gambling in mobile devices are not popular maybe because this is not yet developed yet and I don't see a lot of gambling application that is available in your phone to already download. Mostly the thing here is portability most of the time this is convenient to play gambling in your mobile devices since you could easily bring your mobile phone anywhere. I do gamble in my phone but most of the time it was just in the browser because there is no application available and also the website was just too laggy to play in just a smartphone so I think it is not yet optimized to play in mobile devices.
^ I have a suggestion, clean your mobile phone storage if you want to use it to gamble. Spare at least 1GB in storage to avoid laggy in browsing. Each mobile phone has an app of google chrome and it will browse any website that you want and also you can able to gamble using your google chrome in mobile. You can gamble anywhere you want and any time without facing your PC. But there is the disadvantage that I don't like, using a mobile phone, of course, it has a small screen to browse and probably you will be pissed off in zooming the site. I still prefer using a laptop or PC.
The website, in my opinion, is not yet optimized in mobile use so I think it will be laggy when to use it in a mobile phone. I think an application would be great but most of the time the developer is not going to develop one since it is going to cost big amount of money. So maybe big casino websites only or real casino company is the only that is going to attempt to try this.

652  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The use of Bitcoin on: January 10, 2020, 10:19:08 PM
Bitcoin is a digital currency.
Bitcoin has a limited supply.
Bitcoin is volatile.
Bitcoin always needs internet.
If government legalized and use bitcoin like fiat currency,to what extent it can be used? I just thinking that it was very difficult if ever it will happen someday especially for the young children's. Unlike in fiat currency even a two years old kid can buy in a store using it but if bitcoin,i don't think so ,even those old people who do not know how to use a cellphone, computer and other gadgets. It will be difficult for them.I'm just curious guys and want to know your opinion.
Basically a currency a digital cash that we could use to buy something, Also we could use it as an alternative currency today comparing to fiat money it was not yet ready but it is now great for investment because of its volatile market price.

In my own point of view, bitcoin is really not for everybody because not everyone could understand it's use and purpose in this world, and not everyone can use new devices like smartphones and computers. But bitcoin can still be use as an alternative payment method in exchange for goods and services.
I disagree with that because literally bitcoin is for everyone, no matter if they understand it now or not. I mean everyone can understand how it works, that's not gonna be a problem. I mean it's true that not everyone can use the new technologies like elder people.

Maybe not today since there are people in the world that don't know technology like indigenous people. If the technology could reach them it is a good thing but for me, bitcoin is still for everyone.
653  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China & The Bitcoin on: January 10, 2020, 06:18:15 PM
Seemingly in the news we hear how China is anti Bitcoin and anti cryptocurrency and well that may be all well and true but for an anti Bitcoin Country they sure do have lots of hash. In the Top 10 mining Pools in the world China has around 4 maybe even more. Which comes to the question what is really going on in China & The Bitcoin. As usual thoughts and comments are more than welcome. Thanks.
I think China is starting to accept bitcoin since their are so many bitcoin mining companies in China I think China slowly adopting since bitcoin still a great asset for their country. They don't want to be part of the cryptocurrency community in my opinion because of the different system like decentralized system which is doesn't like by China because it has risk in their economy but I think this is the reason why China is trying to banned cryptocurrency in their country by also they realized that it could still be a great help in their economy.
654  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Market Is Manipulated on: January 10, 2020, 01:48:43 AM
Bitcoin price is determined by the few whales who happened to hold since the early days. If they want they can pump BTC to 1M $ and if they want they can dump BTC to 100$.
Doesnt matter who you are, A BTC holder or a daily trader, whales control BTC price.
What I mean by whale? The person who have more than million Bitcoin.
Bitcoin technology is great but Market is compeletly different story.
The market could be manipulated since it is depending on the supply and demand for bitcoin. By a group of whales, I think they could easily affect the market of bitcoin by holding a very big amount of bitcoin and also when if all have a big percentage of bitcoin this could easily affect the supply of bitcoin in the market affecting the market price of bitcoin. Also most of the time they do this in one exchange that could easily work and then they are just going to sell their bitcoin at the same time making the market dump quickly.
655  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why bitrcoin is going up on: January 09, 2020, 06:43:15 PM
I have 3 things in my mind about this rising price again

1. The current situation between Iran and US, with the price of oil rising, everything goes up, so as crypto as it can be use for funding by the government and other people may also be preparing for the worse,

2. We may be witnessing the second bull run, it is what we are waiting for right, just dont be get too excited ofcourse.

3. Whales might be doing something , or maybe they are trying to rally the price and then dump it, like always.

But no matter what is the cause you should be very careful on what we are going to do next , always keep in mind what happen before but, if you feel this is the time don't hesitate we might be witnessing something more better this time.
1.Agree with this. I think the war seems to influence a lot of people I don't think is just a coincidence that the bitcoin is increasing its market price the same time the war started.

2. I think this have the war is obviously dangerous but it is also affecting the market price of bitcoin. But I think bitcoin will have its way in pumping as the technology rises so I think war doesn't really the thing that will go to get bitcoin to the edge.

3. This is also the thing they might be a lot of manipulation in the market.

I don't think that the first reason is the true reason of btc rising. Politics is politics, war can't effect btc. But that's my opinion.
Honestly, this could be one of the reasons in my opinion but also a lot of things could affect the market at the same time.
656  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Merit Giveaway- (2020) improvement/changes on: January 08, 2020, 04:56:36 PM

658  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Survey: if you have $50k fiat ,will you invest in btc or put it in bank? on: January 05, 2020, 05:41:16 PM
I guarantee you that not one millionaire in the world got that way by putting money into the bank.
The interest a bank can pay you in a year, you could gain in a day with bitcoin.
If you are on the fence, do both, put $25k in each.
Still, it could be risky in bitcoin you could also lose your investment if the bitcoin market price was a dump, yes it could easily recover but it was easier said than done most of the time when the market go down a lot of people could easily fall down and lead to panic selling their bitcoin. Just a reminder before investing in bitcoin.
659  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to know if a bitcoin trading is worth trusting? on: January 05, 2020, 05:25:13 PM
Hello all,

I am new to this whole bitcoin thing and know very little about it.

A few days ago I got added to a Telegram group which is run by a bitcoin & binary trader.

I am being proposed 100% ROI, with the trader claiming 95%+ success rate.

If I invest $500, I will get back $5000 within 5 days.

So, my question is - how do I know if this is legit or not before investing?

Their fees would be 15%.

Thanks
.
Surely a telegram scammer, there is no way you could easily earn that money in just a small amount of time. Actually that was rediculous 5000$ in 5days  Grin Grin I think that was magic or lottery win.

Do not entertain this scammer just block his telegram account and also report him.
660  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Addiction at its Worst! on: January 03, 2020, 01:22:25 PM
I was reading the news this morning and one of the headlines was about a terrible stealing incident involving an alleged gambling addict. The man is an employee of R&L Investments, one of the Philippines' oldest stock brokerage firms. He was able to orchestrate a way to suck at least ₱700-million worth of stocks from the company to support his gambling addiction. This is around 14 million USD, huge enough for the company to decide its closure after 5 decades of operation.[1]

This case made me remember another news that shocked the country and beyond more than a couple of years ago. This incident involved another gambling addict who tried to burn down the casino inside Resorts World Manila. The man entered the casino fully armed and attempted to steal chips. It went awry and much worse from there, and ended up burning himself alive. The gambling addiction of the perpetrator had reached its worst end after initially causing separation from his family, selling of properties including his home and car, incurring huge debts, and so on. The incident claimed dozens of lives.[2]

I want to ask my fellow gamblers here, what is the worst thing you have done for your gambling hobby or habit? Have you come to the point of getting addicted to it and how did you counter it?

More like he has some kind of mental thing killing is more of different aspects. Gambling addiction is more like going for it and losing all of your money in the game.
Also, I think it was the cause of depression or maybe he already loses everything this kind of thing is what makes a lot of people to do crime more likely.
