Good to see people thinking ahead to future problems with Bitcoin. QT obviously cannot go on indefinitely, the blockchain file size and wait to sync would be a nightmare in 5 years time. It's good that alternatives such as multibit and electrum exist for sure. It's also exciting to think of the possibilities of the next generation of wallets. Smiley

Welcome to the forum. I've had a lot of fun trading BTC and alt-coins, hopefully you will too. Play around with small amounts first whilst you get used to the different exchanges. I recommend BTC-e and Cryptsy, however don't store coins on an exchange for too long if you don't intend to trade them as they are much more secure in a client based wallet. Smiley

Welcome to the forum. Yes the days of a faucet dispensing 0.1 BTC an hour are long gone, but with the value increase there's still loads of opportunities to obtain valuable cryptocurrencies.
26  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why do people trust Blockchain.info so much? on: March 01, 2014, 04:39:06 PM
Blockchain is in my opinion the best online BTC wallet. It's great for easy access to the BTC you may wish to send and receive in the near future. No need for the Blockchain to sync, updates straight away, great wallet. However all web wallets are open to attacks and closures, so for savings and long term safe storage I would recommend a combination of offline QT and paper wallets. Smiley

Good idea for a thread, BTC difficulty is already too high for first generation ASIC hardware to mine profitably.  Smiley

31  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: You have 10 Bitcoin, how do you store them? on: March 01, 2014, 12:41:36 AM
cold storage and paper wallets for sure.  Smiley

With the BTC you are making from faucets and PTC sites, why not do some trading on an exchange such as Cryptsy or BTC-e? You can both make or lose money, but there is skill involved and currency trading is good fun. Smiley

Thanks for the suggestions matthona.

First one looks legit (litecoin-faucet.tk), I will add to list once I have received a payout and can confirm it's working.

As for http://coinbooster.net/litecoins/index.php the site is too badly designed and buggy.

Anyone have any suggestions for Litecoin sites I've missed from the list?
