Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Solana still bullish now?

Solana is a promising project that attracts the attention of partner companies and investors alike. Solana is suitable for resource-intensive systems and applications that focus on a large number of users and transactions: exchanges, marketplaces, file storages. But this may not affect the price, it is influenced by the unlocking of coins by early investors, and they are still holding coins, so they are waiting for a higher price.

That is, projects that build an ecosystem around themselves and have subsidiary projects, partnerships, etc. Ecosystem projects are tied to marketing, they constantly need to maintain activity around them and as a consequence, there is some kind of active MM, at least such projects look no worse than the general crypto index.
Ecosystem projects are almost all big active blockchains - Polkadot, Solana, Atom, Near, Avax (all already very expensive). But they are also blockchain services like Graph, NFT ecosystem FLOW, Enjin. Yes in general there are a lot of ecosystem projects now, just another important point.

FLOW is very hard to compare with current new wave blockchains (Solana, Avalanche, BSC, Polkadot). All these blockchains in one way or another follow the Ethereum path and launch similar ecosystems (DeFi-Farming, ICOs, NFT-marketplaces). That is, nothing new.
FLOW, on the other hand, has abstracted from the current Blockchain games and is becoming a gateway for the "big uncles" to enter a new market, primarily the NFT market. No other blockchain has as many official verified partnerships as FLOW.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin dump, Ethereum pump!

Buyers are showing strength today. The price of almost all coins is rising, including Ethereum. Let's analyze the local timeframe of 4 hours to understand the prospects of the coin. As we can see, the price recently overcame an important level in the area of 4,220 - 4,280, which now acts as support. The nearest resistance level at the moment is 4,715 - 4,780. Taking into account the fact that the buyers showed their strength and did not let the price continue to fall yesterday, the most likely scenario is the continuation of the growth to the specified resistance level.

Today the market is recovering after yesterday's fall. It can't but rejoice, because almost all coins were in the green zone. Bitcoin was not an exception and I would like to consider its chart. As we see on the daily timeframe, there are now two key support levels. One of them is located in the area of 47,960 - 49,540, and the second one is in the area of 39,170 - 41,250. The price failed to break through the first level, although there was an attempt to do so. Buyers showed their strength and did not let the candle close below the support level. Now I consider both the variant with gradual sliding of the price and falling down to the second support level, and reversal of the price from the current levels.
The additional factor, which points to growth, is Fear & Greed Index. It is already at 18(!). This is a very strong factor that could indicate a reversal is coming.

CHIA (XCH)
XCH is not mined from the first coin - 21 million coins were pre-farmed, i.e. released at the start of the blockchain launch.
Many market participants have legitimate concerns about this. Breaking down the business side of the Chia white paper, I publish excerpts regarding these 21 million coins:
1. The 21 million coins prefarm is not personally owned by the developers and directors, but is owned by the company, where decisions are made by voting.
2. The 21 million XCH will primarily be given on a loan basis to organizations that need Chia currency.
3. Under the terms of the positive-interest loan, borrowers are required to pay back more than they borrowed. This is supposed to create upward pressure on the price by the time the loan is repaid.
4. Using XCH 21 million to fund promising projects, incentivize farmers, and secure the network.
5. The 21 million XCH prefarm stock is untouchable until Chia becomes a public company with its own stock.
6. Once shares are issued, they can be purchased, subsequently being able to receive dividends in XCH from the prefarm.

I'm definitely not a fan of ETH, but if ETH 2.0 were to suddenly start working today, with the same metamask, penny commissions, and full compatibility with all current services and applications (DeFi, Dex, P2E), it would automatically put ETH in first place, and with a good margin. Because even the last idiot would understand that ETH>BTC. Not in the sense of cooler, better, older, more ancient, but in the sense of just "bigger" and "bigger".
Those who try to deny this just look like Pokemon or anime fans, that is just representatives of bitcoin fanatics subculture.
The reality is that the market has gotten bigger. Yes BTC is still 40% of the market, but it's not 70-80% like it used to be.
If you believe in Mass Adoption of crypto and in general in bright future, then you have to understand that the real Mass Adoption with millions of new audience may just pass by BTC, simply because, because they don't care about your burning eyes and drooling, stocktufflow and digital gold. They came to farm chars in the game to drain on dex and convert to stabel.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will competitors defeat ETH due to ever-increasing gas fees?

ETH with its slow, expensive transoms is just deliberately "ruining" its future itself, giving new players like Solana and others the opportunity to squeeze out a huge part of the audience in a short period of time.
In general, the situation is crisis for both BTC and ETH. Both of our top players are hand-assed, clumsy oldies, who should certainly be retired. But the old guys of course are not going to give up, but the fundamental problems can't be solved (and most likely won't be).
