201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bancor | Protocol for Smart-tokens, solving the liquidity problem on: June 26, 2017, 03:02:14 AM
can someone post a good explanation on why BNT is sinking every day?

It's because there is a flaw in the Bancor model and it's allowing the whales to game the system & take profits. Whales are buying at the exchange and selling to the contract small bit by bit due to the price discrepancy.

This drop will continue till the 120k ETH floor is completely gone. Then nobody knows what will happen. BNT can go into a free fall and never recover or it can start rising again. Nobody knows for sure because nobody can predict the market.
It is not a flaw.  This is how Bancor model works.  Arbitrage is supposed to even out the discrepancy between the exchanges and the smart contract.

One things I do not understand is why they are doing it bit by bit.  That part puzzles me.

But I didn't read anywhere on your site that people from the same household can't be registered on the site. Many sites write this boldly to alert people on this.
It's through that we are using the same IP but what I don't understand is that why do you ban me and still give me access to my account? That way, I wouldn't have called you a scam.
And I will suggest you to block any victim like me access to their account rather than letting them fund their account and telling them they cheated so you they can't withdraw their winnings.
You asked for my wallet address, 1SUtXUCyV85urR2GrBF8W2HqedeXkYkvJ
It is a good decision to understand you people and maybe I will write on that on steemit, thanks

As our rules say, it's prohibited to create more than 1 account by the same person; your network should not have the same  IP-address for geting free tickets. Therefore, your account has been blocked.
We have sent you your money. Here's the link to the transaction https://tradeblock.com/bitcoin/tx/4f3c36f45d6fc208cbaf9c7e6a109e99aa2d8d12d1dbe8ce1fe8c787a9675146

Good work done.
This is my steemit post

I will open a new thread here as you demand.
You aren't being very truthful in your Steemit post.  You cannot use referral when within same household to prevent referral bonus abuse.  Limit isn't 1 account per household.

He actually has a point.  You need to amend your ToS to reflect this.  Example:

I like your lotto site and decide to introduce it to my brother and he also signs up.  We are 2 different.  We are not creating more than 1 account - my brother has 1 and I have 1.   We all will use the same Internet connection since it is NAT, therefore the same router IP.

With that said, I do not believe there are 4 people in his household that signed up, but you need to amend your Terms of Service to No more than 1 account per household.

Hello, dz4505
It's OK to play with the same IP address. But only if you don't use your referral link to invite people joining (with the same IP as yours) to earn a free ticket. So in this case, your brother is not allowed to use your referral link

Your the most honest blockchain lottery,

I see.  Good point.   Cheesy

Actually think there has not been an ICO that if you had held on to your eth and bought later that you would not have been better of
Right.  Because the USD value increased for ETH many times.  This is how you benchmark performance of a coin.  Vs FIAT or in this case USD.

But most ICO still did better initial ICO investment in USD.  Just not ETH good.

Right now BNT is negative return in USD.

I believe it would be best if kept on Wagerr unless you are looking to sell.  At least it has 2FA even if your password gets compromised...

Waves doesn't even have 2FA.   Sad
207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bancor | Protocol for Smart-tokens, solving the liquidity problem on: June 25, 2017, 02:23:31 PM
What was the ICO price?
Around $3.70 per BNT.

Current price is 4500 ~ Satoshi. This is lower than the ico price
have a great opportunity to buy more tokens Grin

Only for strong hands in previous update lead dev said this coin will be listed in bittrex in due time. big whales are manipulating the markets with huge sell pressure to make people panic to fill their orders. Just hold soon this rally is gonna start and price will go to the moon.
No one is manipulating anything.  There are too many sellers with coin being on 2-3 shitty exchange.  This is why Bittrex is needed so there is a larger avenue to dump for the sellers looking to flip.  After the dumpers then we can start looking at it going up.

Pretty funny part is that right now with price being lower than ICO, you can spend less USD and gotten more out of than the ICO and skip all the craziness.   Undecided

Please wait till after ICO and try again.  I don't think they have it.

I did not mean easy in terms of onboarding, I simply meant bringing the price down from typical enterprise solutions.  The technical aspects will be challenging but nowhere near impossible.

Looking forward for the white paper then.  If it makes sense I will be a believer and might even invest. Smiley
214  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]ENCRYPX - Decentralized Email 🌟🌟Bounty Campaigns Live!!🌟🌟 on: June 23, 2017, 04:16:35 PM
What I cannot find here and maybe I missed it, what is the format of a decentralized email address?  The actual email of today slightly confuses those that do not have the history of it, but the first email addresses referred to "user at PC/server", in other words, in a network bob@station4.  The dot net's and com's referred to the type of server generally, then that turned into websites and ......

I'm just wondering how do you guys want to make a decentralized SMTP server what not going to be filtered out by most spam filters? Filters used to do reverse DNS checks and MX lookups for incoming emails and filter those what not coming from the "official" IP for a given domain. SPF checks are also getting more and more widespread. Could you tell me how are you planning to address these issues, please?

I also would like to see more technical aspects.

Ok, a breif but informational update. I understand all of everyone's concerns- however... The biggest focus here is Decentralization. Small-Medium sized corporations spend 10's of thousands of dollars on data, compute power, redundancy, etc. We plan to bring all of that cost to a fraction of what it is. This is the easy part. Some of you wonder what the size of this will be- the short answer, a fraction of bitcoins blockchain size. Anonymity, sure- FQDN's are a problem and there are encryption solutions (O365 you can turn this on pretty easy) but again, the cost for these solutions are expensive when compared to the cost of blockchain technologies. Domains, Exchange Servers, Backup solutions, Dedicated VM's, Server Replication, HA, DR, Etc- The biggest challenges are solved. Await the whitepaper and prepare for the ICO.

As for encryption and anonymity- its your choice when using Encrypx. Use an Encrypx address and have access to a full featured email client and complete anonymity- or use your existing personal, business, corporate address with Encrypx and remove that anonymity- your choice- The savings are still astronomical when compared to traditional environments.
I think people is wondering HOW this is possible.  Domain registration is needed for MX records for certain IPs you will be using.  In a blockchain how would you declare this?  How about new nodes in the blockchain?  Do you add them to the MX records?  Also, if I onboard my company how would I have my own email name?  How about anonymously?  Will anything change?  Will blockchain be able to read the emails without encryption?  If encryption is enforced will the performance still be acceptable?

Yes, everyone would like savings.  But the technical aspects as to make sense.  Something like this should really have a PoC tested and ready before going to an ICO.  But I am pretty sure this will be ignored.

So far this seems to be not a well-thought out idea that's just going for the money grab.  No technical paper for people to even audit to see if this is technically feasible or business plan.

Its just: blockchain is cheap/free, therefore we can make money by replacing email with blockchain.

If you think this is easy why is there no whitepaper.  Do you really foresee no issue with business onboarding when most small business/medium business never even heard of blockchain technology?  I would imagine getting to test out the technology would be very hard.

Hi guys,
i am very excited how you will solve the technical part. A smtp server which will not be blocked all over the world needs at least

- a static ip
- a valid ptr entry
- a valid mx record

Additional, where should the mails be stored, at the blockchain? If yes the blockchain will have hundrets of gigabyte in a very short time.

I will never understand why ann threads will be opened before the Whitepaper is done...

regards
Some of the things offered ALREADY exist.  Encryption, low cost (free), anonymous email systems already exist.  The only difference is that it isn't decentralized because it doesn't make sense due to how email works (whitelist/blacklist).  So the chart that list the pros/cons is factually incorrect.

216  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bancor | Protocol for Smart-tokens, solving the liquidity problem on: June 22, 2017, 03:04:47 PM
current bancor price is $3.7 ? cheaper than ico ?

ICO price was 0.01 ETH/BNT, which was also announced as the launch price. Now it is 0.0109 ETC/BNT (https://www.bancor.network/BNT).
Keep in mind the price right now is worse just because the price of ETH was around $360 at the time of the ICO.
217  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN] SONM - Supercomputer Organized by Network Mining (GRIB technology) on: June 21, 2017, 11:14:20 PM
Hi community,

On June 15, 2017 SONM's ICO started. As a pre-ICO investor I was promised to receive a 100% bonus compared to the ICO investors in ETH:

The pre-ICO white paper agreed on the following:
Pre-ICO investors: 1 ETH = 1212 SONM (translated from 606 SPT to 1212 SONM)
ICO investors: 1 ETH = 606 SONM
--> I.e. Double for pre-ICO in ETH-terms.

The contract/agreement has now changed to:
Pre-ICO investors: 1 ETH = 2424
ICO investors: 1 ETH = 2824
--> pre-ICO investors get less than ICO investors!!!

This is not correct: pre-ICO should get the 100% bonus, which is 1 ETH = 5648 (=2x 2824).

The pre-ico agreement was on ETH (old white paper). Before the ICO SONM suddenly changed the terms and started talking about Fiat currencies. Since they based the Pre-ICO agreement on ETH, they cannot now change it to USD: example: I cannot pay a client his money back in Turkish Lira, if he gave me US dollars (if Did not agree earlier on that). Neither can Bill Gates by his Microsoft shares back that were worth USD 0.10 back in 1990.

Only because ETH surged in the past few months, it is not a valid reason to change contract terms. If I had not invested in SONM, I would get more SONM with my ETH now then as a pre-ICO investor. Pre-ICO investors take on risk, which they should be compensated for. Further had I kept my ETH, it would be more worth now. Currently I find myself having taking more risk (because SONM is definitely riskier than keeping my ETH) and getting less back.

This behaviour is a huge damage to the crypto currency community that is based on trust and team work. If crowdfunding is done cheating like SONM, this whole new funding concept will die. I believe in the potential of crypto currencies and met a lot of extremely interesting people, who became friends. I do not want my opinion to change because of this. But it is exactly this type of behaviour that makes people distrust this new open world.

I am trying to team up with other pre-ICO investors, to take legal action against SONM. We might not stop SONM in Russia, but in Europe we can stop them. I am resident in Switzerland. Ideally we would have some US pre-ico investors (SEC is very powerful).

Please drop me a message with your email and a short summary of what happened to you during the pre-ico.

Kind regards,
Johnymett
I believe they offered to refund preinvestors their ETH back.  So you might want to take a look at that if you no longer believe in them.

You can still take the legal route, of course.
218  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM][Unresolved] BetOpen not processing withdrawal of 0.93 Bitcoin on: June 21, 2017, 11:09:38 PM
BetOpen is a confirmed scam now, there is no legit casino that is will waste so much time(almost a month now, in fact) of the players, just to get a withdrawal that they deserved in the first place.

Still no word and yet they are starting their ICO today...

Unfortanetly I think you got scammed.

First of all their campaign manager has not been online for 2 weeks now. And nobody has any interest in their project anymore, it's basically a dead project, and the community manager obviously is "dead" as well.

Secondly, greenenergy after doing some research is a farmed account. Go to this post: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1597201.msg16575115#msg16575115. It is very likely that Betopen bought this account to promote their company and be more legit.

I really do hope that i'm wrong about this. But things just don't add up here.

This is an interesting piece of evidence that Betopen is indeed a scammer. If they are a legit company, why would they need to have a farmed account to do the promoting for them? As you said they probably bought this account in the hopes of making them look more legit.

Shouldn't DT members tag them already since no responses have even been heard from them? Greenenergy(the "official promoter") has not been on since 4th June either.
The saddest part about this entire thing is that he's owed less than 1 BTC.  If a 'company' cannot pay that then...probably some kid in his mom's basement trying to ripoff others.
