381  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: PBmining - legit? on: May 25, 2014, 04:01:58 PM
Considering the amount of money invested and the number of people involved, I would think that folks should actively try and track down who is behind this now while they are still on the radar.  Because once they do vanish, threads like this will be filled with folks asking how to get ahold of them.  And there is just one foreign Ebay account to work through, which is likely a dead-end.

Blah... Blah... Blah...  Compensation...  Blah...  No Refunds...  Blah... Blah... Angry Blah...

500 posts of that crap is enough.  I'll check back on Wednesday and see how things are going.

I wonder if by adding the second connection to the SPI if it is losing power?  It should be in third state I imagine.  Difficult to make any guesses without having any idea of what is going on.

If you guys have to wait for the new backplane because the old one can't work, how long are we talking before shipping?  You get a new board made, you test it, you order they get manufactured, you receive them, etc.  What are we looking at here?  Because it sounds like the one you have now is dead.  After two weeks of three teams messing with it, it's obviously not going to work.  So are we looking at two weeks for the new boards to be built, tested, ordered, and shipped?  I realize some dude can maybe figure out your debacle with the rotten-board now.  But if he can't, what time span are we looking at here with the back-up boards?

They can't figure out how to build their miner.  So you can have a pile of chips and some boards and try to build it yourself.

Oh brother...

I'm sure they are very frustrated and upset that their board isn't working.  Unfortunately this update really doesn't tell us much.  I spent over $6,000 (And have to pay more for a PSU and shipping) on a total of 3th that I have no idea when I may get it.  This is really bad.

I hope you guys are working on this 24/7 and haven't just thrown your hands up in the air and given up.  If you know for sure that you won't ship until two weeks from now you should say so.  I don't want to keep checking this forum every day for a total lack of updates.

Give me the info and I'll give it to whoever you think I should give it to in the United States.  Would help if it's spelled out properly so whoever is looking at it understands what the evidence is and what crime was committed.  I don't have time to sit in a room and detail the who, what, whys with them on it.  So if one of you wants to put it altogether I can even drive up to his local police station and talk to the detective on duty, or give it to the Michigan exchange or even send it to the SEC.  Whatever you want...

One TH is going to get you a Bitcoin in how long?  Three weeks with the coming difficulty increase?  Or they can sell the unit in a day's time and make that $500, and another $500, etc.   Mining is for suckers like me.  The hardware is the real gold mine.  They'd be fools to mine with it.
389  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Black Arrow 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $1.99/GH/s, miners from $2.97/GH/s on: May 21, 2014, 06:48:00 PM
They don't need to mine with our hardware.  There have been so many refund requests and I'm certain they ordered more than just the initial orders worth of parts.  So they probably have hundreds of unclaimed units they can build, rack, and mine with for themselves.  That would not slow down their ability to ship you your unit.  Sure, they could rack and mine with your unit as well, but it would likely take them a lot of time to rack and mine with so many units.  They'd be just as successful, in my opinion, shipping and racking.

The real money is to ship, then cut the price, and sell to all the other people waiting for in-stock machines.  They'd make way more money than they would mining.  Faster by far...

I'm pretty sure David is asleep.  When he wakes up we might get an update.  I believe he was the one putting it together so he needs to get the voicemails or whatever and finish it and post it.

I will be up to 3 or 4 AM to get things done, and waking up early again. Nobody can not have any sleep at all for weeks.
I just asked this on Ecoin but are you US based or China based David? If you are US based could you give us an update is around 5 hours?

Unless things have changed, Dave is in Europe

I'm pretty sure ZZ is thinking there is some advantages that Ken can take over the failings of Hashfast.  I'm not sure what those would actually be, because Hashfast owes people orders/money.  So Ken can't turn out replacement Hashfast boards if he hasn't been paid.  And he can't afford to buy them and their debt out.  Maybe he could sell to future orders, but I think getting into bed with Hashfast could be a huge mistake...

I'm sure the rule applies to people who threatened their lives and such.  Not just upset customers.  I think BA realizes that anything they say isn't good enough until they announce when they are shipping.  Since they don't know when that is, they are choosing to remain silent.

Funny enough, BFL is going through the exact same process right now.  They apparently have everything and they are just working on software and testing.  (Notice the difficulty rising anyone?)  Who will ship first?

I think it would be pretty funny (In a black humor way) if the miners were shipped without the LCD but there was no way to make them work without it.

By the way, isn't there some secret bonus thing that we're supposed to get when they ship the miners.  I remember an update where they said there was some extra thing that we'd find out about after they shipped.  It was mentioned at the same time they talked about working on their Scrypt Miner.  Which everyone was smiling about.  Maybe tell us what that thing is.   I'm thinking it might be a piece of candy in the box.  Everyone likes to get a piece of candy.

Why not triple the hash?
Unrealistic

You say that now...

I see you're right.  The evidence was there to buy Antminers back in November.  I guess you just made a bad decision and chose the wrong company to go with.  Oh well, I tried to argue in your favor.  I'll take the search lessons and work on my future postings to be more accurate.
