I'm not sure what you people are doing wrong but I got a bunch of blocks solo-mining for 30 minutes and my experience at giftcoinpool.com has been pretty pleasant so far. In fact, I got 1200 from that pool mining with 8MH/s for the last 9 hours.
We're doing nothing wrong. It's just the pool sucks. It is not even fully up. |

Dude consider yourself lucky. I also mined for about ~8 hours with 1200 kh/s and got only 5 GFT. |

Mined overnight with 1.2 MH/s at giftcoinpool, but still 4.9 GFT in my balance,  my account at the failover pool which was HashAddicts has got ~25 coins. Now using HashAddicts as my main pool. Can someone please explain while, during the solo mining, all my found blocks were paid out to an (for me) unknown giftcoin adress - an entirely different adress than my own wallet's adress? At one point i had a couple of thousant coins, but they all dissapeared  Same here. I'm now switching to pool mining but none of the pool are working. |

How much KH/s does one droplet give?
for 8 cpus i assume around 50 Khs - it's not very much i know i'm mining with a laptop so for me it's better than nothing I get 1200 kh/s on my rig. Waiting for solo mining port and config so I can get everything ready. good for you  you can still mine using the setgenerate command Is it as reliable and effective as mining with CGMiner? |

If you don't have a gpu card here is a method to start mining giftcoin using digitalocean cloud vps. then open wallet
what is the command i put to start solo mining?
or how do you solomine?
im going to set 2 rigs to solo for the first 3 hours, ones you get the .conf in your cgminer cgminer --scrypt -Q 2 -o localip:port -u wallet -p password --restOfCgminerOptions In place of "wallet", do we have to put our wallet address? And what in place of "password"? And what's localip? Is it 127.0.0.1 or 192.168.1.(1,2,3,4)? And what's the port? |

Any tutorials on solo mining this coin? Seeing that the pools will be released an hour after the release, I could definitely try mining solo till then.
