I see this "need the source" argument. Whats to stop someone from releasing a binary that is a wallet stealer and posting legitimate source? Nothing.

Scan the .exe with virustotal and take your chances.

there is no magic trick

when you open the wallet go to console and type "setgenerate true"
then type "getmininginfo" for stats

you usually don't need a config at beginning, if .conf file provided then edit accordingly
